Ground crew were unfamiliar with Brazilian laws on entry for citizens with expired passports. Our bags never left DC and we received them over 72 hours later in Sao Paulo, after much confusion. We were not offered any means of compensation for this inconvenience."

When we arrived in Bogota, at 9:40 we had time to catch the connecting flight to Montevideo which was scheduled to leave at 10:20pm.... but instead we stayed in the tarmac without moving for over 45 minutes. There were over 30 passengers that were to take that connecting flight, so the airline had plenty of reasons to wait for us. Instead the airline, AVIANCA, chose to leave all of us stranded in Bogota for 24 hours. We will have all type of problems because of this we had hotel reservations as well as car rental reservations that may be lost because we didn't showed up. By the way according to one of the passengers whose husband travelled on the same flight the day before. The same thing happened to him 1 day earlier."

You can listen to music, watch movies and even TV shows without any extra cost."

I went to the check-in desk for Avianca, and then they pointed me to the nearby bag drop-off area, which had a 45-minute line. The time wasn't too important for me in that I made it to boarding 25 minutes before the flight--the part that would have been better would be to have on the itinerary that I go to the Avianca check-in/bag drop-off area in Terminal 2 after Customs."

Again, no one contacted me. Again, the only reason I found out was because my phone told me. Again, I got rescheduled without anyone contacting me if this flight is in any way okay, or acceptable for me. This time around it wasn't. I tried contacting the airline, where no one ever picked up. I waited more than an hour on hold. Eventually I solved my own problem on the site, when someone rescheduled an earlier flight and I took the spot. Lucky me. As it turned out, I frequent the Toronto Islands area and someone there told me why my flights were cancelled: a dense fog. A pretty good reason. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, of course, there is a weather station right next to the airport and forecasts are readily available. Porter Airlines is unreachable, unreliable and disorganized: they had plenty of opportunities to assess and address the situation, contact me, and even plan for an alternative transportation for me. None of this happened."

A Black man sitting behind me was challenged (and humiliated) by a Porter agent who came on the plane before leaving the gate, that he was sitting in the wrong seat. It turns out the agent was looking at his boarding pass for the NEXT next connection flight. That delayed the take off by 10 minutes. 2. Then while taxing away from the gate for takeoff, another Black man on the same flight whose mother tongue is not English nor French, did not understand that he had to remove his earbuds for the takeoff. He said he was confused by the instructions, so the the pilot decided he was "non-compliant" and returned the plane to the gate to have him removed from the flight, bring police on the plane. I am sure he lost a lot of money and will have future difficulty flying in North America. That delayed our flight another 40 minutes, and many of us missed our connecting flights in Toronto. I just have two wonder if a white passenger would have been given the benefit of the doubt."

WestJet checkin process quick & courteous (not common in Trinidad) and the technical aspects of the flight smooth. The BEST part was a last minute $86 upgrade to Premium. I had no idea it would be comparable to First Class; complete with roomy seating, beverages, breakfast, snacks and EXCELLENT customer service. The flight crew had a sense of humor (similar to SouthWest's approach to announcements), but it was their attentiveness and respect that blew this experience sky-high."

Ran to the other end of the airport to be on time. Aircraft wasn't even at airport and flight was over 3 hours late. They couldn't have posted that so we didn't have to run across the airport? Changed gates, but no announcement. One other flyer was looking at the board and called out to the group waiting that there was a gate change. Left Vancouver at 8:00 am, arrived in Boston at 1:30 am. Won't fly with Air Canada again."

From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."

The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"

Hotel sent me back to airport because i didn't have voucher which AIr Canada guys said they can't make one? Everything didn't make sense. And they told me not to come again. They took like... whole day to book another flight. And i had hard time understanding what they were saying."

The failure to cancel caused us to be unable to rebook, and subsequent avoidable delays arising from Air Canada's ineptitude caused us to be two,days late for arrival. The problem was solvable with some simple rebooking, but the ground,crew failed to assist, then the flight crew, when we finally left five hours late, was Impersonable, unhelpful, uninformed, and utterly unprepared. It was a terrible, second rate, poor quality experience and I would not recommend Air Canada to anyone. Your airline needs serious training in Professionalism and responsiveness."

The website should give a prompt or should share the requirements. And all my ticket money got wasted."
