Pros: "The crew is always friendly at Porter. The free wine is awesome."
Cons: "There’s no entertainment."
Pros: "Efficient check in. Liked the shuttle bus service from subway to airport."
Cons: "As expected this is a commuter flight so very stripped down in terms of amenities. Tight plane seating and those overhead bins just barely accommodate the carry on."
Pros: "Wine and food on flight, nice crew"
Cons: "The people at the ytz airport missed our boarding call and then had to tell us in person to board and our flight was late."
Pros: "The crew was good and boarding was super efficient"
Cons: "No entertain on the plane. Since when YTZ offered no more complimentary drinks and some snack?"
Cons: "Fees, space , training their employees"
Pros: "Very convenient, non stops and airport is close to downtown"
Cons: "Captain said the 1 hour delay was due to bad weather in Washington DC but there was no bad weather in DC. He should have said the truth. I was in flight 729 from Toronto to Washington Dulles airport on 7/7."
Cons: "I was required to pay for my carryon, which I was never informed during my booking."
Pros: "I felt like I was taken advantage of by porter airlines"
Cons: "They didn’t tell me I had to pay 110$ to bring on carry on luggage! Unacceptable. I will never fly porter again."
Pros: "Porter airlines is efficient and the customer service is the best I have experienced."
Cons: "I miss the free amenities that they used to offer at the Billy Bishop airport, but the newly renovated airport is nice!"
Cons: "Our checked in bags did not come out on the carousel, instead they had been sitting on the ground beside another carousel - with no notification. There was a handful of us waiting 30+ mins for our bags and no one around to assist."
Pros: "The airport security was very fast"
Cons: "Have sprite on board"
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Cons: "Was not offered a flight back to Ottawa, had to find a ride from Toronto to Ottawa once we landed .6 hours driving. See above."
Pros: "Solid and professional connecting flight."
Pros: "The seats were comfortable and even roomy, compared to many other airlines."
Cons: "Two minor drawbacks: (1) In the Porter lounge, where I was stuck between connecting flights, the cost of food was too high. (2) The weather buffets these small planes more than would be the case with jetliners."
Pros: "I needed to use wheelchair service and was greeted by name as I boarded the plane. The flight attendant Barry then came and told me if there was anything he could do for me during the flight just to let him know. After the flight was over Barry asked me to wait till everyone deplaned so He could make sure my wheelchair was there and then carried my bag to them. Porter airlines is top notch. I will use them again next time I go to visit my daughter."
Pros: "1) Snacks and beverage at Toronto airport 2) Very clean and comfortable inside the aircraft"
Cons: "1) I wasn’t allowed to check in online because I’m not an American or Canadian citizen. Never heard of that before on any other airline. 2) Flight delays too often and the notification is sent just an hour before (by then we’ve already checked in!)"
Pros: "City Center airport and staff at Porter was great"
Cons: "Flight kept getting delayed without explanation or rescheduling. Each "new" time had already passed when it was set, e.g., "The new departure time is noon" when it was already 12:15."
Pros: "The crew were friendly and the terminal in Toronto was nice. The food and drink service was more than I expected, and the checkin agents and terminal staff before security were helpful."
Cons: "My flight arriving into Toronto was cancelled and then my rebooked flight was delayed. While checkin staff were polite, gate staff were not overly helpful and no food vouchers were offered for rebooked passengers. On my return from YTZ to EWR, I received 6 delays to my flight but staff in the airport provided no information regarding the cause of the delay and did not provide updates on the flight in a timely manner. By the time my flight was delayed a 5th time, I was stuck in the terminal. Free drinks and snacks were available, but I had to pay for a sandwich during my 3 hour wait. I have received only a C$100 travel voucher. Needless to say I won't be using it."
Cons: "Worst delays! 5 consecutive delays which amounted to over 3 hours!"
Pros: "Nice snacks and espresso in lounge in Toronto"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 5 hours due to heat and not good communication to passengers about flight status - plane was tiny. Landing was bumpy. also lounge in Toronto was over crowded"
Cons: "After paying for bag check & being at the airport 3 hours early, the aIn-line was over weight so they removed my bag to the next flight, rather than the gate checked bags! They promised me the bags would be delivered right away, then after I checked, lied to me that they had been picked up by the delivery service."
Pros: "Simple, easy, fast."
Cons: "Small waiting area."
Cons: "the snack (chips) I recieved was expired and had a smell to it!"
Pros: "The check in process was very easy. The boarding process was very easy. The flight attendants were very pleasant."
Cons: "There was not anything to complain about."
Cons: "Was not happy that the flight kept on getting delayed a 1/2 hr for a few hrs"
Cons: "3 houra delays and no storm!"
Pros: "The flight attendants were very nice and helpful"
Cons: "The flight was delayed"
Pros: "Boarding and flight were fairly smooth, the crew were friendly and the seats were comfortable."
Cons: "Told that due to turbulence, no cart service would be available. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of turbulence that would prevent cart service. We did get a bag of terra chips and a small water."
Pros: "Ease of boarding. Carry on luggage is handled by crew staff - makes boarding much easier as passengers aren't struggling to find space for the carry on bags. The bags are ready for pickup upon exiting the aircraft. Would highly recommend Porter and would use again."
Cons: "Flight was approx. 10 minutes late, but the time was made up during the flight."
Pros: "the lounge was great in toronto. loved the free lattes."
Cons: "plane was delayed."
Pros: "It was fine. Flight was delayed 30 minutes without warning, but not a big deal."
Pros: "It was an easy flight but the checking in was slow."
Cons: "Kiosks would not scan US passports. This info was not given to US CITIZENS upon arrival at check in counter.A few of us wasted lots of time trying to make it work."
Cons: "Flight was delayed for about 4 hours then canceled on a Sunday night and I wasn't rebooked until Wednesday morning. Porter staff said I would only be refunded the "pro-rated" fare for the leg that was canceled. This makes no sense as I had to buy my own ticket home from another airline and I didn't get to pay a "pro-rated" fare because I was halfway home. They also put us up in an extremely sketchy hotel that was unsafe, unclean and had an active prostitution ring going on."
Pros: "Small lines, great lounge with light breakfast and refreshments for all passengers, very pleasant atmosphere. Quick boarding and almost instantaneous takeoff... nice on board service, with a variety of free snacks and drinks (including alcohol...)"
Pros: "complimentary wine and beer"
Cons: "Constant delays!!! Supposed to arrive in Sudbury at 5:25 - arrived at 10:00 PM!"
Pros: "-quick connection and lounge -having real glass to drink out of on the flight is a real treat"
Cons: "The flight was delayed. I arrived an hour late and missed my pick up ride.I had to spend an extra $50 to get home."
Pros: "They didn't know when the flight will take off and when I went to ask she ask me to set down until she find out after an hour delay I had to pay double for the service care for this hour because I wasn't able to notify them of the delay"
Pros: "The seat has enough leg room. The service was very nice on the plane with nice selections of snacks and soft drinks. It also offers wines and beers free of charge. The waiting area which offers complementary snacks and beverages is more comfortable than the one in the US with very comfortable chairs and outlets with USB to charge your phones, computers...It would be great if the US airlines copy their ideas."
Pros: "Complimentary refreshments. Not too much...just enough. Thank you, Porter!"
Cons: "My first time using Porter...certainly not my last."
Cons: "I've flown Porter every week for the past 3 months and this was the first bad experience I've had. The flight attendant was the rudest person and treated me with the most disrespect. He should take off two weeks and then quit, has given this great airline a bad reputation."
Pros: "Love that Billy Bishop airport and its free cappuccino!"
Pros: "No issues. Made it easy for me."
Cons: "Nothing. -all good"
Pros: "Lounge in Toronto had comfortable seating and complimentary coffee was served in actual cups and saucers, very nice!"
Pros: "Porter is a generous and comfortable airline, with kind and helpful staff."
Cons: "It might have been the weather, but both flights were extremely turbulent during landing."
Pros: "Free beer and snack"
Cons: "Flight was delayed by 1.5 hours. Waited on tarmac in Ottawa because of frozen equipment. In total I was delayed about 2 hours from scheduled arrival in Ottawa."
Cons: "Flight delayed. Seems to happen often with Porter...for some reason."
Cons: "40 minute flight delay with clear weather conditions"
Pros: "due to weather then mechanical difficulty, we were quite delayed in take off, but the boarding area was comfortable and the airline did everything they could make our connection possible and we though delayed landed in Sault Ste. Marie that day. Not ideal, but admirable."
Pros: "Crew was great."
Cons: "Boarding process was a bit chaotic"
Pros: "Very efficient boarding and great crew!!"
Cons: "No Food to buy available on board. We thought we could buy something. The coffee was good."
Pros: "Fast flight"
Cons: "Chair didn’t recline"
Pros: "Excellent pre Boarding service and announcements; reasonably comfortable seats; great landing;"
Cons: "There are never gluten free options in the snacks; there were no entertainment systems on the plane - that's not important to me but perhaps it is to others."
Pros: "Ran on time. Bags came out in a timely manner."
Pros: "The crew should serve passengers better and nicer."
Cons: "No more delay."
Pros: "Crew was great! Seat space was a bit tight"
Cons: "Little more space and leg room"
Pros: "Seat was uncomfortable because of the head rest that is attached to the seat. However the staff and crew were friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Better seats"
Pros: "Newest 787 plane in the fleet. Really comfortable seats and terrific in-flight entertainment"
Cons: "One of the crew members seemed really bother by everything. She was not smiling or even looking at customers when handing drinks over."
Cons: "food to purchase: very few options poor food"
Pros: "No frills. Friendly staff."
Pros: "Comfort, timing. Customer Service!"
Cons: "Technically problems with lightning on board."
Pros: "Nice plane, comfortable"
Cons: "We missed our runway and had to quickly ascend and retry. Disembarking the plane took 40 minutes due to the YYC skywalk being frozen. During this all communication with the passengers was minimal."
Pros: "Simply took 4 mins and I was away !"
Cons: "Everyone was great that I dealt with West Jet is great !"
Pros: "Staff is friendly."
Cons: "We didn’t appreciate the walk from Gate 4 to Gate 41 TWICE when the departure gate was changed. We are in our 80’s and it was quite a trek!"
Pros: "We upgraded to Plus when we checked in and it was totally worth it. Extra space, food, drink. It was great!"
Cons: "Missed my flight and i had to buy a new ticket to Saskatoon."
Pros: "Downloaded WestJet app in Toronto while waiting to board the next flight. Enjoyed the selection of free movies and TV shows. Flight was on time."
Cons: "The connecting flight to Halifax was a long haul at the end of B terminal. Same airline, just really far away! Maybe it has to be that way due to the international arrival, but it was stressful. Wear tennis shoes! Flight attendants were efficient but not as friendly as the Toronto folks. The advertised “power at every seat” did not work."
Cons: "Economy too cramped."
Pros: "The crew was kind when they gave me an extra bag of pretzels to calm my rolling stomach on a flight that while over 4 hours long does qualify for even a decent sized bag of pretzels."
Cons: "I think the seats on westjet are ridiculous, are they smaller than other planes. I was practically in the lap of the person next to me. I'm 5'7 and I couldn't even rest my head on my knees to stop the extreme motion sickness. I couldn't even finish my flight today because I couldn't stand the nausea and I couldn't rest in a seat 2 sizes too small for a regular sized person. I had to lay down and when it didn't subside I had to find accommodation. I will never fly with westjet again. But thanks you know for the pretzels."
Pros: "WestJet is by far the friendliest and most professional airline"
Cons: "the 40 minute delay in toronto.not so bad in middle of day but when the delay means we get home at 1:00am this is not so good"
Cons: "Flight crew arrived late delaying take off"
Pros: "Trash flight . Took to long to let me off"
Cons: "Rude people"
Pros: "WestJet staff is always friendly and I like the comedy slant they use on the announcements"
Cons: "But who knew, that I was going to go to Toronto! I now understand your schemes. You gave a cheap deal, but did not tell me why. Never again Kayak."
Cons: "lack of information due to delay"
Cons: "uncomfortable seat- no padding"
Pros: "Friendly people+ great service"
Pros: "It was nice staff r very friendly"
Pros: "Excellent crew - very friendly and witty!"
Cons: "Not enough space. Delayed"
Pros: "Complimentary wine - friendly staff"
Cons: "Late departure- disorganized boarding"
Pros: "The Crew was excelent, WestJet has the best crew, very courteous and helpful unlike disgruntal AA crew. They also have the best price deals available. I highly recommend this airlines. Thanks"
Cons: "No entertainment unless you buy one of their tablets. Unerstandable given the type of fleets they use."
Cons: "If it was noted that there would be luggage fees when I was booking I didn't see it."
Pros: "Flight attendants Snacks Entertainment options"
Cons: "No screens; but the options were provided"
Pros: "All the crew"
Pros: "The flight over all was good. Service, and delivery of the expectations were good. Even though the items listed in the dislike are 3 in number, and added to an uncomfortable experience, some of them are identifiable as beyond control, yet others are within the control of system set up or process."
Cons: "small items that I didn't like were : 1) Temperature, and 2) wifi 3) waiting for electrical. 1) Temperature: When boarding the plane the Temperature of the cabin was extremely warm. The pilot advised of the condition, this was not something that could have been fixed and I think they handled it well. I just didn't like the 90+ temperature 2) Wifi: was intermittent, I ensured the Westjet app was the only one running, but the movie I was watching was pausing every 15 minutes to buffer. So it was a constant reminder of dial up.... 3) waiting for electrical: Upon landing and taxi-ing to the ramp, the pilot was advised that there was no electrical to support the plane after he turned off the engines. So good that he waited, thank you pilot, and not so good as it was another unpleasant item on the plane ride."
Pros: "Friendly flight attendant"
Cons: "For a flight that lasted close to five hours it seemed a long boring flight."
Pros: "Personable and professional staff. Great service"
Pros: "Go from point a to point b"
Cons: "Westjet will nickel and dime you for everything. Did a +9h flight from Vancouver to London and no meal is included during the whole flight. They keep trying to upsale you for everything. Not only is the food expensive it is also real garbage. Flight was delayed by 75 minutes and nearly missed my connection. Of course no checked baggage is included in your already expensive ticket. You have to fork in another 30$ for the privilege of checking luggage. WestJet pretends to offer 200-300$ cheaper plane tickets compared to the competition, but this is false. I found plenty of other flights for same or even cheaper prices with quality airline companies like Lufthansa or Air Canada that include a meal and checked baggage and other perks, but in my case I had already booked. I really recommending you looking for other airline companies for any flight that is not short haul. WestJet's slogan is an airline company with owner that care... Whatever the hell that means. Maybe someone can explain? WestJet brags about it's outstanding customer service while at the same time cutting every corner possible on service. Kind of a contradiction."
Pros: "Fight left on time, crew was friendly, entertainment system worked."
Cons: "Cramped seats made worse by reclining passengers seated in front of me. Couldn't pre-order my meal even though I tried 24 hrs before ( 2 days is apparently the requirement)."
Pros: "quick flight and great attendants"
We book an Air Canada flight but "got Rouged". Lengthy delays and 5 gate changes in a couple of hours. Cabin cramped, very little room in overheads. Food tasted stale. Generally awful except courteous and capable crew. Avoid Rouge like the plague.
Meal I purchased was disgusting. Fruit was spoiled and could not eat it.
Cons: "The flight was fine, but the aircraft arrived 3 hours late. That’s a long wait."
Cons: "Check in was just awful. Then a three hour delay and no one was forthcoming."
Cons: "I didn’t like anything about this flight, except that we arrived safely. I had the last seat, next to the toilet, and that container or whatever it is, was dirty. Every time someone flushed, I was bathed in the smell of urine. It was raining in Toronto; consequently, my checked bag was wet through. I’m glad I was coming home rather than arriving at a vacation destination, where all my stuff would’ve been wet. I’d like to see some effort put into keeping my bag dry. Also, the passengers had to slog through the rain to get on the plane!"
Pros: "The flight was uneventful, lucked out with exit aisle."
Cons: "Boarding took way too long. Typically an airline will ask people to voluntarily check their overhead luggage free of charge if they know it's a full flight, not on this flight. Instead, they tried to get everyone to board with luggage in hand, then once they realized there was not enough space they asked people to hold on to their luggage while they came through the plane to tag it and stow it below - very inefficient and made the boarding process crazy as people tried to make their way around luggage that was sitting in the aisles."
Cons: "AC was late causing a missed connection to YXE. They were unable to rebook us to Saskatoon for two or three days! They offered standby or Edmonton as our only options. We flew to Edmontonand then drove 6 hours in order to get home for work with no sleep. Unimpressed."
Pros: "That we eventually got a flight home."
Cons: "Being stuck in Boston and Ottawa for 2 extra days and adding around $1200 on to our trip in hotels alone (I was travelling with 4 kids on a school trip and my wife). Additionally, we didn’t find out the flights were cancelled until we arrived at the airport. Apparently, they had been cancelled 2 hours before but there was no notification. Air Canada offered no help whatsoever and the guy at the “service” desk in Boston literally said there was nothing he could do to help. Not even find a new flight. Spent 90 minutes on the phone trying to re-book, plus re-booking hotel along the way."
Pros: "It really sad to know on a 5 and a half hour flight they only offer coffee tea or soda ☹☹ . Never knew about the changes in purchasing a meal or snack.."
Cons: "Should have been informed somewhere about the changes in purchasing a meal."
Cons: "My direct flight was cancelled and rebooked with a connecting flight."
Cons: "Why no food or snacks?"
Cons: "Food not included with insane flight costs"
Cons: "The television screen with on-board entertainment options didn't work properly, so I was unable to watch movies/television or play games. This was disappointing as it was a fairly long flight."
Pros: "Plane was nice Crew was great"
Pros: "Friendly crew, good food and comfortable seats"
Pros: "The food and the crew"
Pros: "Flight crew was vey nice and flight was on time."
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Cons: "The flight was late."
Cons: "Our connecting flight from Toronto to Thunder Bay was cancelled. AC put us in a hotel for the night. Thanks for the $15 dinner voucher. Almost paid for the salad. Then we had to get up at 530am to get the 6am hotel shuttle in order to get back to airport for our 8am flight. They seem to always cancel the 9pm flight from Thunder Bay to Toronto because not full enough. And the last flight is over sold so we have to stay the night in Toronto. Then don't offer the 9pm flight. Passengers have other commitments in their life's. We don't need AC to just hold us over for the night because one of their flights is have empty."
Pros: "All was well. Thanks"
Cons: "There were too many things to mention, but I must say the customer service is not a strong point neither is a customer first mindset. The airlines apparent made several changes between my trip and I was threaten with additional bag fees when my ticket was very clear for two carry-ons and to checked bags, which also confirmed when I confirmed my seat request. After I was required to check my bags, I realized my earbuds were in the bag and the flight attendant did not give me a pair and actually told me I could purchase a pair...REALLY!I just did a 15 hour flight from Dubai, you were delayed by 2 hours on my last connecting flight and you can't comp a pair of .25 cent earbuds."
Cons: "Kiosk option wasn't supporting the baggage check policy, resulting in passenger were unable to print baggage tag and had to wait in long line over 1.5 hrs to check bag with staff. They also understated. It took me over 2 hrs to get throug check in process, not counting 45mins + through security check and custom. I had asked staff to expedite the process. C my flight was boarding. Staff could care or less and walked away. I had to run to my gate and almost miss my flight. Also, I was told that 1st checked bag was complimentary as this is a express aircraft. Staff wouldn't honor that. Come to find out as I entered the aircraft that they made many passengers do the complimentary gate check anyway. Rude and unaccompdating staff."
Pros: "the service was excellent"
Cons: "I wish Air Canada sent check-in emails for flights in as well as out. I didn't get a reminder check-in email when I was flying out and that worried me a bit that there may be something wrong with my reservation. It also irritated me that because I had booked my flight through Kayak and not Air Canada directly I was not able to make any changes to the reservation online - I had to call their reservation phone number (from another country) and be put on hold for 20 minutes (so needless to say it was an expensive phone call)."
Pros: "Super nice crew!"
Cons: "Inaudible boarding"
Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."
Cons: "I paid extra for a seat to ensure leg room, all I got was ear ache! The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"
Pros: "The price :)"
Cons: "Wasn't able to play the videos on my iPhone."
Pros: "The Air Canada ground and flight crews did the best they could in a bad situation."
Cons: "Where do I start? Maybe by saying that I'm really not a complainer. I'm really not. I know there are understandable, although not always pleasant, occurences and situations that cause or contribute to things. But this shuttle flight was a disaster of poor airline planning. The 1.5 hour flight kept getting delayed again and again and again. The assigned gate got changed 4 times and we found ourselves having to walk with our bags from one to another. It finally took off at 12:30 at night with an ORIGINAL departure time of either 8:40 or thereabouts. You're talking about a 4 hour delay. Weather? Raining, but nothing that was serious. It was just, well, raining. No explanation was ever given for the delay although, uhh, complimentary bags of pretzels were handed out. I felt bad for the ground and flight crew. They had to deal with us less-than-pleased passengers and, really, the delay was beyond their control. Which leads me to believe poor scheduling by Air Canada of available planes was a reason. It was all very, very bad and, given a previous flight 10 days ago that took 5 hours instead of the scheduled 1.5, we'll never use Air Canada again."
Pros: "North American flights are definitely not as comfortable as in Asian flights"
Pros: "Seats are comfortable and I had plenty of leg room."
Cons: "No snacks offered with drink. Boarding wasn't well organized. Toronto airport is horrible... long lines at customs and security caused me to miss my connection for the second time in a row."
Pros: "Air canada needs a serious serious overhaul of the way they treat their customers especially those working at the Toronto airport I find their employees have an "entitlement" mentality that other carriers do not Customer service seems to be a priority not talking to your coworkers about the weekend while serving your customers"
Cons: "There was one employee who suggested to take an earlier flight and was very helpful Little things go along way"
Pros: "Crew was very friendly."
Cons: "Didn't realize AirCanada Rouge didn't have entertainment, which allowed me to get work done...but you know, movies are cool too. Also the seats are super close together and make it a bit clostrophobic."
Pros: "It was a short flight and I shared my seating with average weight people. The crew members and the pilots were very informative."
Cons: "During a short flight there is not much to experimented and less to comment."
Pros: "Boarding was relatively painless. Flight was on time. What i didnt like was the crew. The flight from Toronto to Los Angeles was five hours. They had the fasten seat belts light on the entire trip because they said the turbulence was bad. I have been on alot of flights and let me tell you that the turbulence was not bad at all. After three hours prople decided enough was enough and started going to the restroom. The crew would get all bent out of shape and get on the PA yo please stay in your seats and not use the restrooms at this time. Really!! Well that didnt happen. The only thing they give you is one free drink. No penuts, cookies or pretzels. If you want food you have to pay for it. I sat by the window and my window was all greasy. I couldent really see out of it. I did use the rest room and it was pretty clean."
Cons: "Flight was on time and the restroom was clean"
Pros: "At least it was fast.."
Cons: "No space, no tv, no food, no music, no blanket, no water, nothing. Pack everything you need or bring your credit card"
Cons: "As expected with Air Canada, the service is awful with bitchy stewardesses, the food is poor, the plane is falling apart. Midway through the flight, the plane looked like a pigsty with garbage everywhere. When serving the meals, the stewardess just said to everyone, "You want it or not" and moved quickly with many people wondering why she was behaving so rudely. In addition, we couldn't get clear information about the baggage allowance. This is partially due to booking through Kayak where they don't tell you the baggage limit and some of the flights were code share flights even though all were with Air Canada. Couldn't tell if we had 1 or 2 bags included. This didn't help with our packing. In the end we had 2 bags and wish we bought more stuff."
Pros: "The Air Canada agents and staff were very helpful and accommodating to the best of their ability. I hugged one female AC Agent in TO as she was so kind and helpful, and told her she was the highlight of my day."
Cons: "The processing of Air Canada passengers to the connecting Gates and through Customs for USA international flights was a nightmare. It was very disorganized, with hundreds of passengers herded like cattle, poor communication, customs slips not provided on the AC Flight before landing so as to be completed in advance. There was staff shortage, and not done in a timely manner so as to make your connecting Flight. It has truly been a most stressful experience for me this and each time I have to go through Toronto to make a connecting flight , and I will avoid this flight plan in the future at all cost."
Pros: "The 2-3-2 seat configuration is better for travelling as a duo. We were provided with blankets and pillows for the 9 HR flight. Food was quite tasty for airline meals."
Cons: "Host staff made very few trips up and down the aisles. Have not before been on an Air Canada flight where there are no seat back screens, so it was a surprise not to have any in flight entertainment."
Pros: "It was nice of airline to set up an extra flight in the afternoon so we didn't need to spend even more time in Toronto airport."
Cons: "My first flight had free snacks and movies to watch yet it was only an hour in the air. This flight was much longer with no movies and having to pay for snacks. Seems a tad backwards."
Cons: "Mine and my wife's legs did not fit. The seats were spaced much closer together than is standard, and this made the flight unbearable. I stood in the isle for most of the flight. To make things worse on this 5 hour flight, there was no video available to distract me."
Pros: "Crew very polite and professional."
Cons: "My luggage didn't arrive at destination, so this caused a bit of a problem for me as Philadelphia was not my final destination. I had to take a bus the next morning at 7AM to Pittsburgh. My luggage finally was delivered to me within 48 hours, so that was great."
Cons: "Rouge was the problem here. Unlike regular Air Canada flights, the seats are extra cramped and there are no seat-back TVs or power outlets. (Also, the crew didn't seem to include any French speakers - weird for Air Canada.) I preferenced AC for this flight. Next time I would avoid them if it's Rouge."
Pros: "friendly staff, not a full flight which was nice to stretch out"
Cons: "the food was not great, would have been nice for TV to have hockey championships game available to watch- another airline had this option on a flight during a Steeler game and it was nice."
Pros: "Food was great. Inflight entertainment needs work."
Cons: "The inflight entertainment needs more updated options ."
Cons: "Flight was canceled and next day flight was delayed for 3 and half hours."
Pros: "Air Canada is very good at what it does. The plane was boarded in a timely and efficient way, and the flight was very comfortable."
Cons: "I travel with a briefcase, and although I was among the first people on the plane all of the first class overhead bins were already full. Consequently I had to place my briefcase under the seat in front of me, which left little room for my feet."
