Cons: "My issues are two part: 1 - I wasn't informed that I was required to retrieve my luggage from the carousel on this flight from George Town to Toronto. I thought perhaps I missed something, however, the three other couples that were in the same predicament I was weren't aware either. This caused a massive headache, the instructions were superbly poor on how to retrieve the luggage, and the process was completely a waste of time. We had to talk with three different people, the person that took us back to the carousel showed no urgency despite us all explaining that we were on a short layover, and might miss our next flight, and even though we had our passes to get through customs, we were made to wait in line to have our baggage inspected. A completely broken process that could've been avoided with a friendly reminder at check-in. 2 - Once I was able to retrieve my luggage I picked it up off the carousel only to find the handle on one piece of luggage had been ripped off, and the plastic lining on the other bag was destroyed. Admittedly I find this to be no surprise after seeing how mine and everyone else's luggage was handled so poorly upon being loaded into the cargo. I saw my luggage being tossed 3-5 feet into the cargo area - literally picked up, and with complete disregard flung like it was a trash bag being thrown into the dumpster. Since I didn't have time to discuss this with any staff due to my prior issue and being unable to find a representative once I landed back in Vancouver, I called the next day to discuss this over the phone, but the representative explained that I was only able to make a complaint in-person at the time of baggage retrieval. The person was absolutely useless and unwilling to help. This was by far the worst treatment I've had at any time in my life while flying any airline. The trip to George Town was with American Airlines, and even though it was longer, and a tad bit more expensive, the service I had with them was stellar by comparison to my experience with AirCanada. Going forward I will only be using AC when there are absolutely no other options."

It's a cheap flight and AC warn that the "in seat" screen is no longer provided so criticism on this basis is a bit silly. I noted that the free iPads in Premium Economy provided more films but they were so dated!!! Food in PE was much better as was the general service. It cost quite a bit in the "Auction" but it was worth it I think."

I told her I was going to do that, but she was apparently pre-occupied when I told her, because she was looking right at me when I said it. I then told her that I had let her know that was my plan, but she denied it, then told my wife she was just one of a hundred people. This left my wife in tears. This was a stain on an otherwise good flying experience, but it' tarnished the whole."
Pros: "At fisrt the flight was over booked. Once we had boarded their was a technical issues with the aircraft, we had to sit in our aiys with nothing to do for just under 2 hours. With this delay in mind their was no form of a free drink as a mini compensation. They had no choice of food."

I got back to London to find that my luggage didn't make the journey. Staff at Air Canada were unfriendly and unprofessional."

It would have been nice if this could have been notified earlier, rather than having to wait for all passenger's luggage to be delivered before realising that our's was not there."
Cons: "I called customer service to ask questions about the meal options, and for both flights (14.5 hrs) they signed me up for the wrong meals! The staff on the first flight was extremely rude and unhelpful, and refused to let me eat any of the extra meals. Making matters worse, I had asked customer service when I called if they sell food on the flight, which I was told yes. This turned out to be untrue. I had to survive the 14.5 hour flight by only eating 3 tiny bags of pretzels. I sent an email to customer service to complain about this (can't do this over the phone), and didn't hear back for more than a month. On my return international flight, I was AGAIN signed up for the wrong meal (vegan) even though I specifically went over my dietary preference (vegetarian, eats eggs and dairy). Then my luggage was left in Vancouver while I made my way to Sydney, so I had to wear the same clothes for over 72 hrs while the airline "apologized" with giving me only $50. I finally got someone to respond to my complaints when I tweeted them, and their response was that I selected the vegan food option...NOPE, and that's not an apology. I will not fly them again. (PS: they don't give eye masks or toothbrush/toothpaste on international flights even though other airlines do, and their selection of movies/TV shows is about half of other airlines)"

Flight to LAX was not even in the monitors at the airport, had to run all over to guess the gate. Gate agent was rude and obnoxious at CDMX, called for a supervisor and not only did he never arrive, I was threatened off the aircraft. Flight departed 45 minutes late, almost missed my LAX connectiong. NEVER AGAIN, WORSE AIRLINE SERVICE, LIARS FROM THE TOP DOWN."

They kept telling me they were all supervisors until someone let it slip that they they were not. Then I got the cold shoulder. Ended up flying with another airline and will never consider them again."

I'm still waiting on their statement of cancellation to try and file a reimbursement claim with my credit card trip cancellation insurance policy. Awful airline. Absolutely terrible experience. Couldn't pay me to fly them again and I'd 100% pay a little more to fly Delta, United, or even Aeromexico next time."

Interjet knew about this and still took off. We had to land back in Merida, Mexico at midnight and waited until 5 am again to board to Guatemala City."

The combination of bad acoustics, very noisy air conditioning fan motor, poor microphone quality and poor microphone technique meant the PA system was unintelligible. The screens still didn't give me any gate info for my flight. Aha, now they are admitting there's a delay, I'll go and find an Interjet person and find out how long the delay will be. What do you mean the flight has departed?! Why did you not call me, or come to the departure hall and call my name? Unbelievable. Interjet insist that the check-in person should have explained to me that the screens were not to be trusted, but I don't remember that; I remember being told to go through Departures and wait for a gate number."

Being on time is a big deal when you already have plans set and either flight did not comply with that aspect of the trip."

This review is intended to inform you of my experience, not to just to bash you for fun, I've got better things to do with my time. Thanks."

The staff in LAX were not as friendly but then I am just glad that everything was handled for her at such a young age being taken through such a big place. But over all she was happy with the in-flight entertainment and I was pleased with the amount of baggage allowed at no extra fee."

The 787 aircraft was spacious and comfortable, which seems to put both passengers and crew in a good mood. Lots of entertainment options were available, so the three hour flight flew by. And we arrived early! A great experience on United."
Pros: "Very pleasant attentive crew and ground staff. An aborted takeoff on tarmac meant a return to the departure gate and the plane taken to maintenance. The ground staff were superb in dealing with a full plane load of passengers many of whom had onward connections. This meant we had to stay overnight and fly first thing the next morning. Butter poured onto my lap on opening! Audio didn't work on films. Couldn't store my bag anywhere near my seat Utterly dreadful"

Cons: "I arrived at the airport only to find out that they had instituted a no carry on policy for basic economy and that I'd have to check my bag. They acknowledged that they had not informed me of this but that I'd still have to pay. The flight was delayed and the crew was extremely rude through out the flight, to top it off the in flight entertainment and wifi didn't work and the seat was incredibly uncomfortable"
