The car was dirty, smelled and the key fob ran out of batteries hours into the trip. They could not have cared less when I returned it. Have had terrible customer service at this particular budget before. There’s a reason it’s often the least expensive.Reviewed 16 Oct 2023

The vehicle could have been better (car was hit, inside was stained). The customer service could have been better (I wasn't given neither paperwork emailed receipts or agreement). Icing on the cake was the next door Avis employee blocking the airport shuttle bus to pick us up. When told to move her car, she was beyond rude as if the rental was free. She indicated she's aware of blocking the way and continued the casual conversation with the Budget employee until finished.Reviewed 24 Oct 2022

The pick up location (PHL) was struggling to keep up with the demand of reservations. Cars were not available as reserved. The vehicle I got was visibly damaged and dirty and no one was available to assist or document it. I actually dropped the vehicle off early rather than continuing to drive it and pay anymore to rent it. The drop off location (EWR) was also overwhelmed and had no one available to discuss the situation with me. It was an expensive and very disappointing 8 hour car rental experience!Reviewed 15 Sep 2022

Pros:The shuttle bus was the dirtiest vehicle I have ever has the displeasure to ride in. The pick up staff was not very friendly. The young lady that helped me would not look at me or have a pleasant conversation with me regarding my rental. She told me that my contract had been emailed to me, however I never received it. She did not give me a reason to return to Budget in the future. The drop off staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially the gentlemen that checked in my vehicle on my return.Cons:The shuttle bus should be retired from your fleet. The young lady could have looked at me and had a conversation with me regarding my rental. Please note, she did her job but it was not a pleasant experience.Reviewed 24 May 2021

Pros:The car was ok.Cons:We waited for 2 hours to pick up a car. We didn’t get our car until 2am, because they were short staffed and Budget was actually closed, so we had to go to Avis to get a car. At drop off we were charged $360 for gas, which has to be an error, and we’ve called 4 times to speak with someone and have been out on hold for over an hour each time, with no resolution. We will NEVER rent from Budget again.Reviewed 4 May 2021

Pros:My flight was delayed and they did not have the car I needed, Did not like anything about the experience will not rent from budget againCons:Pickup bus drove by me twice before I got a ride, only one bus running. Long line at check in not enough staff because my plane was delayed they wanted to charge me double the rate, had to fight to get my rate reserved Car only had 1/3 tank of gas, make sure you document Process took over 2 hrs to get a car, unacceptable After waiting in line for over an hour staff told me I had to call the budget number to change my reservation Will never rent from budget again in phillyReviewed 3 Mar 2021
