Vehicle had not been cleaned after the previous rental. They ran out of cars and gave me an uncomfortable to ride in truck. I returned the vehicle with a full tank (also noted on the return invoice) and they still charged me a $17.99 refueling charge. I called customer service and asked for a refund of the refueling charge which they promptly credited to my account. The customer service representative volunteered that their system is set up to automatically add this fee for rentals driven less than 75 miles. That’s not in the rental agreement. We’ve rented a lot of cars while traveling and this was easily the most stressful and strange experience. We paid for a premium luxury SUV and they brought out the dirtiest, oldest rental car we’ve ever seen. 81K miles on the clock and showed every one of them. They then tried to put us in a small sedan - there are four of us and we had four suitcases … So they said we could take a Ford Explorer. We said that was fine but we’d like the difference in cost refunded as it would have been $100 cheaper to rent that one. They said they couldn’t do that. Finally, they found us a premium luxury SUV that was (mostly) clean. Just a really bizarre experience and they kept saying there was nothing they could do, until we said we’d like to cancel and we’d walk down to another rental company. What should have taken 15 minutes ended up being an hour and a half. Totally put us off ever renting from Budget again.Reviewed 4 Jul. 2023

Line to pickup was a disaster. For awhile no one was even at the counter despite a line of 20+. System to get cars was very inefficient so each person getting their car took way longer than it should. Do not blame the counter representatives who did the best they could, but everything was poorly organized and poorly run.Reviewed 2 Jul. 2023
