Yeah sure Hertz knows how to take the reservation ,,, they just don't know how to hooold the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them. Had it not been for hertz employee Tabatha, the entire experience would have been a colossal fail in terms of customer engagement and satisfaction.Reviewed 16 May 2023

Car was very dirty when we picked it up. I was in Georgia and the rear defrost didn't work. I am from Boston and it was rainy so it made my travels difficult. I called Hertz because I rented the car until 10/12 but on the contract it said 10/11. I was charged a $28 dollar telephone call fee - insane. They wouldn't take it off even thought I was correct. My confirmation was the 12th. It also wasnt clear that I wasn't picking up car at airport - I had to take a taxi to get it. I also wanted to return my car at the airport since my flight was in the evening that night. The price would have gone up from $266 to $390 - to drop off at Hertz at the airport 15 minutes away - 5 hours later. Crazy. I will call and try to get my refund from them for the phone call I had to make because of their error.Reviewed 13 Oct. 2021

Hertz refused to rent to me after making the reservation nearly 2 months in advance. Hertz said there was an unknown problem with my license and had me call a Hertz telephone number. I reserved a car through Kayak and when I went to the Hertz office in Augusta, Georgia to pick it up I was told they had no cars for a one way rental even though I had reserved a car. They said the only thing I could get was a huge Ford Sprinter van, which is basically a work or delivery vehicle. They also told me it would cost me $20.00 more than my confirmed reservation. Even though I protested I was basically told, take it or leave it. I had explained to them that I was in a desperate situation because my car had broken down 5 hours from home and I didn’t have time to waste. They didn’t seem to care and I was forced to take it. The van was a mess. It was dirty and there was damage all over it. The windshield was dirty and the washer reservoir was empty. It was uncomfortable, and noisy. It was badly out of alignment and uncomfortable to drive. It only got around 15 miles to a gallon of gas so my fuel expense was high. In all my life this was the worse car rental experience I’ve ever had and I’m going to also complain to the company office.Reviewed 3 Oct. 2021

We booked a large suv a month ago. We decided to pick up a day early to make sure they had one. So glad we did. There was another couple that reserved and prepaid for a 7 passenger suv and they didn’t have one and said they will refund their money. When arrived they tried to give us a small suv. then after a not so nice discussion, we got the Toyota Highlander it had damage on all four corners, not bad, just some deep scrapes and right front wheel well was not connected to bumper. We got inside and it was filthy, sand and dirt everywhere. Gum in the back seat floor. I took it home and vacuumed the floors and cleaned the dash and seat area. The only positive was the car ran great and was comfortable on the long trip. I would never rent from hertz on Washington rd again. If you do don’t prepay, because they probably won’t have the vehicle.Reviewed 26 Jul. 2021

The location is convenient but parking is a problem. They close at noon on Saturday which isn't convenient. The agent was friendly and professional. The car was suppose to be a non smoking car but smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.Reviewed 17 Jul. 2021
