1. Lots of upselling on car features. 2. Be aware of all dents and damages before the car is released to you. Take a lot of your own pictures with a date stamp 3. I wanted to extend my rental but online it said I had to phone the office and i phoned the office more than 6 times, selected ‘english’ and ‘current rental’ than waited about 10 rings before the computer disconnected me again and again and again so had to book a different car through a different agency for a week.Reviewed 10 Sep. 2022

I got the gas tank full with the care was told to return it filled, we did that and we were still charged over €90 for not filling the gas tank. I have both the receipt and video evidence of the tank being full, yet Hertz has not refunded the charge… still waiting (be very careful with them).Reviewed 6 Sep. 2022

Not related to the El Prat location, but I could not add my Hertz frequent traveller information without the reservation showing me accepting CDW, etc., so after a wasted hour on the phone I left it off, which meant the car was not ready to drive away as part of Hertz’s Gold program. Having rented from Hertz at this location multiple times I either get the hard sell on insurance, bigger car, etc. or what appears to be frustrated agents when they realize they cannot up-sell me. This time, however, at least they gave me a nice (brand new) car that was not the smallest possible for its category. I also had a scratch on the bumper on return and they handled it very efficiently and in a friendly manner, just matter of fact noting it, not giving me a hard time. By the time I had boarded the plane I had the receipt, including a very reasonable small fee for the scratch, sitting in my inbox.Reviewed 31 Aug. 2022

I disclosed my age when booking the car via Kayak and they let me check out with the young drivers charge. When I went to pick up the car I was told I was too young. Getting my money back was a huge pain (both Kayak and Hertz were telling me the other party was responsible for the refund process). I ended up renting a car from another company and had a much better experience plus it was the same price for a nicer car.Reviewed 15 Feb. 2022
