The usb port was not functioning so I couldn’t connect my phone to the screen to see navigation. I had to balance the phone on the dash or hold it the entire time which made for a very stressful driving experience. Also unclear instructions in the parking garage led me to choose an electric vehicle initially which I then had to return. Disappointed.Reviewed 27 Apr. 2024

My plans were all in place and required detail and...as I was walking out the door to pick up my car(10 minutes away)...I was called and told that no cars of any kind were available at the off-airport location! Why did it accept my rental reservation and...at the very least...called the night before! Unforgivable and something I shall not forget!Reviewed 5 Nov. 2022

The key fob battery didn’t work. It was hard to lock and unlock doors and once I couldn’t start the car. I was afraid to go to a store because I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to unlock the car if I locked it. There were no key holes in the doors. They wouldn’t bring me a replacement battery. They were friendly. Car smelled like marijuana and that didn’t get better.Reviewed 30 Dec. 2021

Pros:The ease and comfort.Cons:The price after I upgraded the vehicle for only $200 more took my rental original rental price of $550 to it ending up being $1125. I even asked the clerk at Richmond Hertz why was my rate so high and he said that it's not my final price and it should be adjusted when I get to my final destination. When I did get to my final destination, they didn't explain anything at all and just charged me the full price. I'm highly disappointed in what has occurred with Hertz and will NEVER ever rent from them ever again, or even recommend them.Reviewed 9 May 2021

Pros:I made the reso with 48.00 rate, I released I made a mistake seconds after I made it. I called and switched the location, I was told on the phone I would not be charged a new rate. I have the call transcripts, date, time and person. I get to richmond and yep you charged me the higher rate. I am not happy and I am letting American Express deal with it. Pros:The Chrysler minivan I received after my Kia's A/C stopped working was a Limited version and very nice.Cons:Horrendous wait at Hertz to pickup. Waited 30 minutes in line, got to the counter and was told it would be another 20 minutes because my vehicle was not ready even though my pickup appointment was a hour ago. It ended up being another 30 minutes waiting outside in the cold for this vehicle. I finally got the Kia that had over 50k miles on it. A piece of the car undercarriage came off at the gas station during a fill up and then the AC stopped working. I had to stop in Kentucky and switch out to another car. Shame on Hertz for making me wait for an hour for this junk heap. I will never use Hertz again.Reviewed 9 Apr. 2021
