Pros: Second time at the staybrridge Liverpool. After our first experience we were looking forward to our return and were not disappointed ! The hotel not only is a great value for money but what makes it stand out is the welcoming staff who are always willing to help with a smile , the cleanliness and comfort of our room and the hotel in general, the good breakfast and the location which is perfect for enjoying the Albert dock area while still being close enough to reach the downtown shopping area and nightlife in a pleasant stroll. Would highly recommend it!!

Pros: Picturesque location by the docks. The room was clean, spacious, and had its own dishwasher, microwave, and oven. Bed was comfortable. The room was spotless. Added bonus of laundry facilities on site. You can even purchase laundry pods from reception.

Cons: Nothing to complain about, my only advice is to prefer Uber over a proper taxi while in Liverpool as we were hugely overcharged in two separate occasions by taxis . Our Uber drivers were all friendly, polite and knowledgeable as for the sites we were interested in such as John Lennon’s home, strawberry field and Anfield stadium

Pros: Location was fab right in the city near to transport restaurants bars and local attractions. Our room was lovely and quirky just need to watch your head if tall. The bed was very comfortable lovely clean bedding and all the facilities you would expect.

Pros: What a find in the centre of Liverpool with great staff to ensure your trip goes smoothly. Breakfast is at a discounted rate at Wreckfish which is just opposite (don’t miss this). Our room was also for wheelchair access so we had plenty of space and a huge wet room. A microwave and mini kitchen in the room - we loved it and would not hesitate to recommend.

Pros: From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The reception staff were the best we can remember anywhere. The room was excellent and fitted out even better than expected (with a mini kitchen, microwave & nespresso). The reception staff gave us great recommendations for eating out - we particularly enjoyed Clockwork for breakfast. A super stay, thank you.

Cons: The shower was poor and the noise from the floor from the room above. Everytime they walked the floor would be creaking. Didn't like the drink list but Tesco is right beside the hotel so you can leave stuff in the fridge.

Cons: Service (front desk, bar, and concierge) did not match otherwise outstanding facility. Distance from downtown perhaps made ready cab or Uber service a little longer than normal. Staff appeared newly hired and perhaps less experiences in how things were supposed to work. Tried hard but had to seek directions from others. Given time on the job, expect service will improve. Would give another try.

Cons: Staff was incredibly unhelpful - they ignored my wife as she struggled with two bags through the doors and up the 10-12 stairs required to get into the hotel. One of the same people who ignored her later made an extra effort to walk over and stop us from walking down a staircase to view the Beatles memorabilia. Overall, the experience was off-putting.

Pitched the same as other hotels in the area however facilities disappointed in comparison I feel this hotel relies on its Theme to support its cost rather than the facilities it offers. The noise from street outside meant that it was a very long night with very little sleep. We won't be returning as other hotels offer better for similar money

Cons: Check in was confusing, person at the counter acted as if it was her first hour on the job. Went to lounge for a drink, was hoping to hear beatles music... after all, we were staying at the Hard Days Night Hotel. They were playing beatles music, but it was so soft we could barely hear it (and not because there were so many people talking, there were only 4 people in the lounge). I asked them to turn it up, which they did ever so slightly. Still only soft background music. We were not looking for loud, just something we could hear without straining. Had yet another bad experience with concierge (Kevin). We had purchased tickets to the Cavern Club Beatles tribute band show through the hotel. Asked Kevin when we should plan to arrive for the 8 PM show to be sure we got seats (explaining that I had read on line that seating was limited and you had to arrive early to get seats even if you had purchased tickets). Kevin dismissed my concern, saying we just had to be there at 8 and handed us the tickets. When we got to the room I read the tickets, they also said that seating was limited and that a ticket didn't guarantee a seat. Decided to ignore Kevin's guidance and it was a good thing we did. We arrived at 7, people were already lined up. By the time the doors opened (7:45) the place was full of people lined up to get in. We got a seat, but had we listened to Kevin we would have been standing for the entire show, which ended just after midnight.

Good selection of free tea, coffee etc in the room and nice shampoo and shower gel I couldn’t arrive on the planned day due to weather conditions disrupting trains and they didn’t charge me for the night I missed which I thought was very decent

Cons: I didn't like that they replaced their lovely shampoos that one could take home with fixed to the wall plastic bottle that works so badly, I could not get anything out of it. Had to buy a shampoo from Boots. It also makes the whole place look shabby and cheap and not worthy of the price one has to pay. I didn't like one of the lifts shuddered, but then I complained and it was fixed 2 days later. I didn't like giving laundry in and discovering when it was meant to come back that it was not sent it in the first place!!! No apology and they charged me fill price for doing it 24 hours later. Breakfast was overpriced for what it was.

Cons: The check-in of what appeared to be a boy and girl shout clan. I felt like I'd checked in to a YMCA. Youth. I'd gone there for a sleep. In fairness, they have as much right to be there as anyone. However, I hoped that the returning said youth would not be doing do at 4.00am in the morning in a state of disrepair. They didn't. So, I guess I continue to rate this hotel even if their prices are rather high.

Cons: Stroppy receptionist at the main reception trying to over charge us. When asked whether breakfast was included or not, said: "you are expecting too much for that price!!". Car park wasn't included either and it was rather expensive.

Cons: The lift was broken quite a bit. We even got stuck in it & had to be rescued one night. I understand they have a new lift coming which will resolve this issue. However, if you have any mobility issues, wait for the new lift to be installed.

Pros: The staff are lovely and helpful. Rooms are warm and beds with curtains mean you get some privacy. Plenty of storage above and below the beds. Luggage storage is useful with reception and they let you leave luggage there after checking out which is very useful as I had meetings to attend to and did not want to take my case! On the way to the university and only a ten minute walk, max. Would highly recommend. Individual lights in the bed are also useful with two USB ports and two plugs.

Cons: Too much noise at late hours. The rooms are NOT soundproof so you can hear EVERYTHING that’s going on outside the room and in the neighbouring rooms. Hostel should designate quiet times!!! There was significant noise throughout the night that kept waking us up!

Cons: I set the heat to the maximum possible the first night. The temperature was always below 7/8 degrees despite setting the heat to 5. I woke up in the middle of the night to put on my coat and slept with it.
The next day I mentioned it to the person in the counter. He said he would send someone to check the heat and send an extra heat and/or blanket. I arrived later in the night. The temperature continued to be extremely low, there was no extra heat or additional blanket. Once again I had to sleep wearing my coat. I asked the person at the counter (the same of the day before) and he asked me why I didn't tell people from the staff. That was actually what I had requested from him the night before! Terrible service.

Cons: I am a PG student and a very regular customer and was in Hatters on Monday night and decided to extend my stay for additional two day- 11-13th Feb 2020 and paid. I had an emergency call from my wife while ai was in the laboratory, that needed me to leave for Manchester same yesterday, 11/02/2020, I had to rush back to the hotel before the normal check in time of 2pm, to inform them I am travelling now, that my already booked dates should be shifted to Thursday, 13/02/2020 and Monday 17/02/2020,. The person at the front desk refused and only one shift was approved, so I have lost d money. This is very inconsiderate and unfair, especially for a very regular customer who usually stays all week. I need you to help resolve this.

Cons: On arrival we checked pricing as online it was much cheaper to be told in no uncertain terms that we had agreed to pay and it was headquarters that set the rates. It was cheaper to stay in the Adelphi with breakfast. The kitchen was dirty and worktops worn and broken. Although we had been told there was tea and coffee none was found and when I queried this was told it was too late to do to anything about. We also informed staff that my husband had tripped on the rugs and the open corner of the duvet and injured his hand. He was told nothing could be done unless it was online.

Cons: The fire alarm went off at about 11pm, although it went off a minute later so I’m assuming it was an accident or a practise but the next morning there was no apology of this. The bathroom door barely opened so you had to squeeze to get in. The key card didn’t work on arrival, we have to visit reception twice to get this fixed. The room on a whole is scruffy with a lot of marks, holes on the walls. The chairs in our room were very dirty. The atmosphere of the hotel on a whole isn’t great. But because we were only staying one night we made do. I wouldn’t return unless I had too. It’s a shame because I was excited to share this find with visiting family and friends but instead I’ll be keeping it to myself.
