Pros: The hotel pleasantly exceeded our expectation of a luxury 5 star hotel in Paris. We were worried that it won’t live up to the expectation in terms of value vs money, but staying at Le Meurice was a wonderful experience. The staff was professional and very accommodating. The best thing about the hotel was the room, which was superb! very spacious and luxurious. We stayed at a executive double with the garden view that gave us a view of the Tuileries Garden , le Louvre, les Invalides and the Eiffel tower. But the view would have been much nicer during the Spring- Fall season. The location is very central and convenient. But it may be quite hectic as the entrance of the hotel is right in the middle of the busy arcade of Rue de Rivoli with many people passing by and people lining up for the cafe right next door. But oh well... You get a variety of choice for food and drinks and room service. Food was top quality. The service at the bar/cafe was quite slow though. (maybe due to the busy holiday season) Overall, yes it is expensive but is worth it for a special experience.

Cons: I know this is Paris and a 5 star hotel, but the bar and restaurant prices were excessive in my opinion. The in room desks are not the most comfortable to work on due to their old fashioned design and wooden chairs

Pros: Hotel Madison is a lovely hotel located right in the Saint Germain area. Staff were always so lovely and helpful, and we had a sweet room overlooking the church opposite. Room was small but that is to be expected in Paris. We'll definitely stay again next time we visit Paris. A laundry room for hotel guests is always much appreciated for those travelling for several weeks!

Pros: I like the Madison but I thought their staff was indifferent, only a couple of the front staff was nice the rest was just ...well indifferent. I hate to mentioned this but one had a really bad body odor. Common how can they allowed that, he works in the front! end of rant. The hotel was recently renovated and they did a beautiful job with the decoration. However, if it was up to me I would remove the the black chair on the corner. We couldn't sit on it because the nightstand and the desk blocked access to it. The faucet in the bathroom was annoying to use because you can only get hot water if you turn the knob on high?!?!? Sorry for being negative but I think it need to be said. I would recommend this hotel and will probably go back

Cons: Watch out for that city tax, and make sure you add anyone on your reservation when you originally book. I booked a “2 person” room and when I came with someone they charged me extra for that person since they thought I was alone. Not a fun surprise. I thought this had a an airport shuttle as well, but it cost 90 euro per person. Better off taking the metro.

Cons: Room was looking out to the inner courtyard and the view was mainly a big wall. Given the location, they couldn't have done any more to improve. Friendly staff, but the check out process could have been smoother as the queue did not move very fast.

Cons: There was no room for unpacking our clothes! stayed for one week and there was not a single drawer or shelf to store anything so after paying the rate of a 4 star hotel, we got the "confort" level of a 2 star hotel instead. The carpets were filthy and the matresses were soiled!
The narrow hallways smelled and felt like a cheap cruiseship.
We are very dissapointed with the quality of the rooms and the overall value of this hotel.
