Paris hotels near Palais de Chaillot

Pros: I was in Paris for my birthday and staying at the Shangri-la made it for me! Everything about this place is amazing - top service, views, food, drinks and atmosphere. You simply can't fault the place. I also fell in love with the way the hotel smelled

Pros: This hotel and its staff were wonderful until the heat wave at which point the A. C. broke for 20 hrs. throughout the hotel EXCEPT the lobby which I quickly discovered that I would just camp out there until I could breathe in our room. After 12 hrs and our 3rd trip downstairs, we were offered a fan which helped. Many were not given that option. One couple checked out early and was charged for the day. After requesting a discount for the miserable 20 hrs, my husband was credited with his breakfast he had eaten( I eat Pastries in our room). It was the dishonest with the different guests that bothered me the most(“They are working on it” the first night to “We hope they are coming today.” on the 2nd night and telling one couple “It’s working. It takes a while to kick on” after being out for 12 hrs. This is really a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff that seemed to have no support system to help them with this situation. This was their 2nd heat wave this summer. I didn’t see on the news where a lot of air conditioning units were out so it seemed to be just be our problem.

Pros: It’s centrally located, updated, close to most major attractions, helpful staff, very comfortable beds! We will be coming back if we make it back to Paris!

Pros: We loved the hotel, very nice neighborhood with several food alternatives: restaurants, supermarkets, cheese, wine and chocolate stores,.We loved the fact that was in a typical parisien área, lots of. Local people and at the same time ver well located.

Pros: The room, although small, was clean and nice. The location of the hotel was rather good and quiet (the noise came from the other rooms not from the road), although not in the city center. However it was near to a Metro Station so going around was easy.

Pros: The Hotel's location: It is situated in a very quiet district. A some of Cafes, Bars and Restaurants are just around the corner; and there is a small grocery across the street.

Pros: Great location, great hotel, great staff! They upgraded us to an awesome room with a spectacular view for free the attendant was very nice and helpful.

Pros: Everything was wonderful at the Maison Albar. The view of the Arc de Triomphe from the balcony and the individualized attention from the staff, particularly Leandre- made tgecstay special. Great rooms, showers, and the portable internet devices were wonderful. Loved it!!!

Pros: I really like the hotel but I don’t think it’s a 5 stars. The staffs were ok not too instructif. The rooms are very nice. A little cheap with the treats. One coffee one water one milk. Next day after I used it there were none left. There are few snacks there with the coffee and water so assuming it was free because there is no price listed anywhere. And when you used it they charge you at the end of your trip? It’s not bad, I would say it’s ok. I’ve stayed at better hotel which was 4 stars

Pros: the breakfast buffet was incredible. Great variety, amount and quality. We also loved that the staff controlled entry to the buffet area so everyone got seated nicely and it kept the start of the mornings pleasant.

Pros: The whole experience was excellent -- I was very impressed. Staff were unfailingly attentive, the dinner excellent, the breakfast full of available variety. The view of the tower from the balcony impressed my grand-daughter!I am not all that easily pleased, so not inclined to easily give high ratings, but I have to say that every aspect of the stay was excellent.

Pros: The close proximity to both the Metro and Eiffel Tower, River Seine were the only plusses.

Pros: The location cannot be beat...rooms are large and very clean. There is a computer room with free internet access, 5 computers and printers. This was a rare treat. I will stay here again.

Pros: The location is fantastic for tourists: it's a few blocks away from the Eiffel Tower and directly in front of a strategic Metro station (including the train to Versailles). The staff were accommodating and helpful. The room and shower are large, especially considering the cost.

Pros: The hotel was 5 min away from the Eiffel and near Bir Hakeim metro station. If you want a clean and affordable hotel in the city center this is a nice one but the rooms are so small.

Pros: Seasonal decorations are amazing in the lobby. There is a grand Christmas tree that is very welcoming and adds a cozy atmosphere. Location is great as well. Being walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe and 20 mins walk to the Eiffel was great. Also, there is the FDR metro line 1 steps from the hotel. This is an added bonus as the metro line is a great way to navigate the city. Champs Elysees was beautiful during Christmas time. The entire avenue was lit up with Christmas lights. The staff was attentive for the most part. They provided outlet converters, and a lint brush for my wool jacket. The breakfast though expensive was delicious. Marriott has an american feel to their menu which is a plus.
