I didn’t even pick up this vehicle because the pick up experience was impossible. Followed signs to Payless, was told to go elsewhere, went elsewhere, waited 30 minutes in line, was then told to go to different floor, went to different floor, got into larger line which wasn’t moving and our quick two day vacation was about to be spent waiting in line with two young kids arriving in middle of night and ruining the next day which was great grandmas 90th bday. Fortunately I made the decision to forget all about Payless and rent from Sixt instead, which saved probably 2-3 hours and made it so we could enjoy great grandmas bday the next day. Will never ever ever ever rent from Payless or Avis again. Absolutely horrible.Reviewed 24 Aug. 2023

It took over an hour to get a vehicle and it was a large truck with mpg half what I paid for since I booked a compact vehicle. They ran out of vehicles despite knowing these vehicles were paid for and reserved. The people that left when I arrived had waited 1.5 hours. Others were still having major delays later in the day. Exiting with the vehicle both the person in front of me and myself could not leave because we were not provided with the information needed for the automated and only toll lane. They were not transparent on the actual cost of what the fuel costs would be if I brought the tank back less than 100% full. It said it was going to be under $4/gallon but I got charged $89 for bringing it back at more than half a tank.Reviewed 28 Mar. 2023

The car pick up went smoothly and the car was nice. The problem was with the drop off. We dropped the car off in the designated area and left the keys on the dashboard and proceeded on with our trip. A few days later while checking my emails I looked at the receipt and found they charged us an additional $700! The car was returned on 2/12 as scheduled but they billed us through 2/16 along with an additional "late fee". We had been in Mexico for 5 days when they say the car was returned. I've exchanged numerous emails (because I was out of the country) and the issue is still not resolved. I will 100% skip Payless next trip!Reviewed 20 Feb. 2023

We enjoyed an easy check in with a very good/new vehicle. The only issue was that the vehicle did not get cleaned/washed. The car had some trash in cup holders, but it drove well and did well. The return and final invoice was exactly as quoted.Reviewed 3 Oct. 2022
