I had upgraded online before my pickup and when I got to the desk the attendant discussed a hybrid upgrade with me as it is less gas, 4 wheel drive vs awd. I agreed to the upgrade. I was 10 miles away when I noticed there was no charge on the car. I called and was told I could go to a charging station and charge it. When getting to a charging station that I would have to pay extra for, found no connection that works at that charging station. This vehicle was premium only fuel and cost me significantly more money then if I stayed with my original upgrade. I contacted Sixt and they did nothing. I have rented other hybrid cars and never have had to charge it on my own. They came fully chargedReviewed 16 Feb. 2023

I asked for a Toyota Camry or equivalent. They had one, but the agent asked if I wanted to be bumped up to a BMW 3. Between him wearing a mask, having a glass wall between us, him speaking rather quietly and me being 75, I thought he said "free upgrade". Turns out it cost me $150 for three days. Nice car but I didn't need the upgrade and would have declined had he communicated more clearly. Other than that, not a bad experience.Reviewed 27 Aug. 2022

Kayak quoted me a price for a car that Sixt did not have in stock. It cost me $60 to get to the airport to find this out. The car they did have would have been an additional $500. Apparently this happens all the time with customers referred to them by Kayak- the website does not make sure the cars are available before offering them to customers. A waste of time and money.
