Pros:Drop off was fairly quick.Cons:The “wildcard special” while the desk agent claimed to have a “full fleet” of vehicles was not so much a wildcard as your choice in color of your Chevy Spark. Would be less disappointed and more accurate to just call it a compact or budget rental than “wildcard special”.Reviewed 30 Apr. 2021

Cons:We waited over an hour in the Maui heat trying to get our car. Not enough agents to help out the 20+ customers in line. Once we got to the desk, our agent was courteous and helpful. Your policy of charging extra for an additional driver is just wrong and not appreciated. Our car was ok but had been hosed down and was wet inside as well as outside.Reviewed 26 Apr. 2021

Pros:Staff was ok. Drop off easy.Cons:Cars are extremely overpriced right now I believe Hawaii is making up for what they lost in revenue during the Covid restrictions. To pay $1400 for one week versus $300 like we used to seems pretty ridiculous. Obviously you do it because you want to go but it seems evident to me what they’re doing with the prices… Making up for lost revenue.Reviewed 11 Apr. 2021

Cons:I canceedl my rental 3 days in advance but was never able to get in touch with anyone from Kayak or from Thrifty to discuss their cancellation policy. I called multiple agencies who told me I had the wrong department and then they transferred me to a different department only to be told that I had contacted the wrong department. They said someone would call me. No one has reached out. I will never use Thrifty again, and I probably won’t use Kayak again either. Terrible experience. I wasted so much time on my honeymoon.Reviewed 5 Mar. 2021

Pros:Everything was super easy, but I was never told about the surprise $52 charge that I received once I arrived to the car rental place. If your going to charge it due to picking up in an airport you should tell people or add it to the price. Seems very dishonest and unprofessional.Cons:Add the $52 tax charge to the price of the rental so it’s not an unwelcome surprise for people at the start of their trip.Reviewed 26 Feb. 2021

Cons:The vehicle broke down and I had to leave the vehicle and walk to the airport to get a replacement. They do not answer the phone. When someone finally answered and I told them that I was stranded, they placed me on hold for 43 minutes.Reviewed 21 Dec. 2020
