The crew is very professional (though they may strange errors describing the terminal in Bethel because many of them have never been there), but this is changing as more and more pilots and crew have lived or do live in Bethel."
Cons: "Many times this flight is a combi, so no first class. Generally, no entertainment, and wifi cuts off after about 20 minutes. From time to time visiting contractors or short-timers won't stop talking on the flight about how much they hate Bethel (but have no trouble making a living from it)."

Pros: "We were flying international and bags were checked through to our final destination AND AA did not charge us for our checked bags because it was booked as part of an international ticket. (which I didn't learn before flying so it was a pleasant surprise, most airlines want to charge you for the domestic leg of your flight)! They allowed us to board early and were very accommodating for our family of 7. I finally figured out the in air entertainment on our devises, which didn't seem to work on our previous flight. Snacks were minimal."

Cons: "The plane had to turn around halfway from Seattle to Vancouver due to a mechanical problem. We all later got an email saying we'd receive a discount on future travel because the airline deemed the delay "preventable." We got a second plane quickly, on the second boarding process the gate agent failed to do preboarding. I'm on crutches at the moment, so this meant more time on my feet manoeuvring around "elite status members" than I would have liked."

Pros: "They were there when needed and got the whole party to the destination through TSA, and to the connecting flight gates after we landed. We were seated in the back of the plane, had a very short layover, and had to get from gates "N" to "D". Not being familiar with the airport, we probably would have missed our flights, had it not been for our "airport guide". If you can get your carry-on luggage checked for free, (only offered when the flights are full) this is an awesome service!"

The gate crew keeping us updated is what saved the name of Delta. If she didnt do that people would have been angry."

Three out of seven of the flight crew were not happy about how badly they were being treated by call center and /or management while they were delayed with us at gate. Snacks were brought out because of delay but they were just junk food. Nothing I could eat due to allergies."

There was a ton of movies from the 90s and the same movie selection from about 6 months ago when I traveled with them. Also, what is going on, with having to use your own cell phone to watch movies on the plane? Whatever happened to the screens in the backseat of the front seat? I ended up with neck pain from trying to watch a movie on my phone. Delta has become very cheap. It is going into some serious decline."

The last flight was operated by Avianca. DUE TO the fact that my very last, 55-minute, domestic flight in Colombia was operated by Avianca, it was to my very unpleasant surprise that United decided they were not going to be responsible for the bag which was left behind IN CHICAGO. I emphasize it's in Chicago, because that would not fall under Avianca's responsibility but rather United. I've had an absolutely awful time trying to get in touch with United and Avianca customer service, I've received both conflicting and incorrect/untrue information from both parties, and it's been 4 days now that instead of enjoying my family vacation I've been trying to sort this mess out with my missing luggage. DISASTROUS"

Cons: "I think the seats on westjet are ridiculous, are they smaller than other planes. I was practically in the lap of the person next to me. I'm 5'7 and I couldn't even rest my head on my knees to stop the extreme motion sickness. I couldn't even finish my flight today because I couldn't stand the nausea and I couldn't rest in a seat 2 sizes too small for a regular sized person. I had to lay down and when it didn't subside I had to find accommodation. I will never fly with westjet again. But thanks you know for the pretzels."

Cons: "It took several hours for the decision to be made to cancel our original flight from PV to Van, and when the final decision was made, the complete lack of sympathy or communication came as a shock. No one informed us why we were moving to another terminal or that our flight had actually been cancelled and we would be staying another night in Mexico for another two hours. Getting our hotel voucher and transportation to the venue took another several hours. (Sorry Westin, but you also receive poor marks on your food services. Your front desk people were great though!) The following morning we were not informed that there would be no food service on the flight, so my kids were starving by the time we touched down in Vancouver. The ordeal was exhausting and when we finally arrived in Vancouver we almost missed our connecting flight because of a huge error in off-loading our luggage. It shouldn’t take over an hour to receive your luggage. Again, the communications break down led to hightened anxiety and stress. The whole horrible journey home with WestJet made the loveliness of my actual holiday pale into the background. I was very disappointed in WestJet as I’ve had fabulous experiences in the past. If possible, I will avoid flying with them again any time soon."

Cons: "Took 45min to bag check (3 agents and only 3 families ahead of me) and when I did bag drop, I’d already checked in online, the agent tagged my luggage to Calgary not vancouver and put it under someone else’s name. It’s been over 34 hours and still no word from westjet. Calgary is an 1 1/2 hr flight to Vancouver. Not impressed."
Pros: "West jet employees worked hard to fix the mess they caused. Eventually getting me a ticket for another airline."
Cons: "Changed my flights with less than 3h notice. I’d payed extra to reduce wait times as I was flying with a child just over 2. Originally had me coming in to Vancouver at 9 am and leaving at 5:40pm. Not cool with a young child. Allmost missed the 1st flight getting it fixed, they also didn’t book my child in adjacent seats, despite pre-booking the seats on the flight days before."

Cons: "I just cannot understand why WestJet cannot seat six people travelling together together. I mean really folks, it can’t be that hard... especially since five of those passengers have the same surname! Finally, is a cup of coffee and cookie and a glass of water really sufficient for a 5hr 9min flight, which adds to well over six hours with boarding and alighting time included."

Entertainment was very plentiful, staff were courteous. Seating was HORRIBLE. That is the most cramped I’ve ever been on any flight …Jet Blue and Spirit included. Very uncomfortable for a six hour trip.

I found that the crew would hit into my shoulder without saying "excuse me" ... Other people passed by me and they didn't seem to have a passing without banging into me."

Pros: "Considering the price we paid for our tickets is the the only drawback I keep coming back to when I think about the VALUE of what I paid for.the entire flight. The overall experience was good throughout; from the airport on both ends of the journey to the actual inflight experience. I'm not sure how much of an influence the airline has on the airport part of it all, but the check-in process was good. The self check-in machines for AA were a little "buggy" and difficult to navigate but helpful staff was readily available as were the short lines. I am 6'2" and was impressed that I had adequate leg room in my seat."

Our party of three, which was husband and wife plus friend, were all seated separately. We could have opted for "pay extra" seating, but even that did not get us together, so we opted out."

Then when I couldn't pull up my boarding pass to see my seat number the woman at plane's door acted like they was nothing she could do to find out my seat. Luckily another flight attendant actually knew how to do something and cared about me getting to my seat. For the flight, the air quality in the plane wasn't good and they seats felt like small prisons."

We had only been sent a check in notification by AA for the first flight, which we opened the QR code and used to get on that flight. The scan however meant we had to have boarding passes ready and the QR code did not work for the second flight and AA did not send a check-in email for the second flight for us to use. We had to run back through the airport and check in for the next flight. Almost missed our flight due to flawed system."

Cons: "Food selection for someone who's allergic to milk, such as myself, was the poorest I've ever encountered. Also, somehow the TSA Pre-Check for both my spouse and I was "dropped." So we had to wait to clear security and still didn't have tickets until the last minute because we couldn't check-in online because we needed our passports. Therefore, we almost missed our flight to Dallas. My spouse and I are still upset about the situation and lack of customer service."

Pros: "Upon leaving Raleigh, N.C. Our plane was carrying a fallen soldier and a marine who accompanied him . They announced this and gave the other passengers the opportunity to walk to an area to watch the very solemn ceremony. It was all done with respect and handled timely. The flight still left as scheduled and arrived on time. Not that this was the most important part. Even if it had caused me to miss my connecting flight, the ceremony for the fallen hero was more important."

Pros: "The pasta coming out of Frankfurt that was served on the plane was actually phenomenal I have never had that kind of cheese spaetzle in an aircraft before absolutely excellent. The desert choice of the crumble tart was also very good. The roll was cold as usual in economy class. The rap served as pre arrival meal was also very good. This was by far the best food I have ever had and economy class I have never encountered this food traveling from the US to Europe but traveling back from Europe the food is often better. This one was phenomenal."
Cons: "Selecting the entertainment choices was very very sluggish to the point where I just discontinued trying to find a show to watch. On both flights, going to Frankfurt and then returning from Frankfurt those international flights, the video or entertainment was very slow to select. I also noticed in some seats it wasn't working or people also just gave up. I did however like the fact that some shows we're closed captioned, that is really helpful because sometimes it is difficult to adjust the sound to to be able to clearly hear the conversations in the movie. Subtitles definitely help. I wish all of them had subtitles. The boarding is okay and I understand all the emeralds and rubies and platinum's Etc, but sometimes by the time group for get seated there's not always enough room in the overhead compartments because people tend to put all their bags their. And some people still take oversized bags that should probably be checked this is quite a nuisance."
