Kamloops airport is easy to navigate. Security procedures are typical but one can get through fairly quickly.

Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaYVR-YKAJan 2025
Taking the Skytrain into/out of YVR is useful. Coming in from the train there is a Security entry just to the right that is usually a shorter line and thus faster.
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaYYC-YVRFeb 2025
Loved the early flight. Less traffic to get to the airport and no lineups to check in.
SallyFlew with WestJetHNL-YVRFeb 2025
Try to find a flight that gets to arriving in the day instead of late at night. It’s a waste of one night hotel which is very expensive now.

When they tell you that you need a visa to enter Canada, double check and do some research before boarding.

Do not buy duty free alchol at the Puerto Vallarta Airport. They do not seal the bag and it will be rejected when you arrive ready for your connecting flight. Security could have sealed the bag there, or allowed it to go into my checked luggage. They choose not to be helpful in any way. I am unclear as to whether they notified my connecting flight to wait for me.
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaMEX-YVRDec 2024
- Try to bring as little luggage as possible. Nowadays ALL airlines charge you for bringing basically anything other than a little purse/laptop/small backpack! It is getting ridiculous! - Bring food, because all airlines charge an obscene amount of money for a sandwich and/or a pop. - Come early. The airline (or the the airport) might have to change the gate, so there could be some running around.
Verified travelerFlew with WestJetLAX-YVRNov 2024
Don’t wait to the last hour to get to LAX for your flight. Traffic is heavy in and out of LAX and it will take at least an hour to checkin and clear security. Be there at least 2 hours pre-flight.
Verified travelerFlew with WestJetYYC-YKAOct 2024
There's no taxi stand at the Kamloops airport. Take the airport shuttle if you can. It's fast, efficient and cheap. The guy running it is great.

If you think you’ll be hungry, bring food on board or eat before boarding. Don’t pay extra for a premium seat unless you want to sit toward the front of the plane. The seats are not different from one section to another. The bathroom smelled and was tight.

Plane was packed so as Seniors we took advantage of early assisted boarding. Not sure how others that were young and healthy got on earlier than us in Zone 5. Toronto security was disorganized -no bins and told to wait after 15 minutes and li e backup we got bins from the security line beside us. They lost one of my husbands shoes, and did not make an effort to find it or help us….another 15 minutes. Thankfully we were early.
RonaldFlew with Air CanadaYYZ-YVRSep 2024
Bring your own entertainment device. The system installed in the Airbus A321-200 we were flying is old, slow and ergonomically poor.

Ideal is to fly direct. It is lovely. Note that the Cabo airport food is some of the most expensive I’ve seen. I always try to have a good meal before I arrive. Or pack something if you don’t want to spend a fortune on fast food.

The gate is really far. So give yourself more time to get there. I was in the lounge and had to run for it!

People should go to airport at least 90 minutes before the boarding. The security check in the Montreal airport is slow and the lines are long. We were only in the domestic flights terminal. There are a lot of cafe you can buy food after security check, but very limited number of shops there. The lounge in the Montreal airport for domestic flights - business class serves hot breakfast, which is good, but nothing special. We received our suitcases in Vancouver very fast and even faster got on taxi. Great job.
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaEWR-YVRMar 2024
The Newark international airport was a breeze! Through bag check and to my gate in less than 10min! Make sure you bring your own food onto the plane, otherwise you are stuck buying from their bistro menu. Food vendors seem quite limited at the terminal.
RobertFlew with WestJetYVR-YYJApr 2024
Short flights late in the evening can mean waiting for planes that have gotten later and later throughout the day. Short flights on a Sunday night means full planes of people heading home after a weekend away.
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaSEA-YVRMay 2024
If you are a solo traveler with intentions to not check bags then bring a flexible bag or smaller suitcase in case they put you on the small and dirty planes for your short connections.

It’s very busy , eat before you go , and bring food with you. Airports are ridiculously overpriced and not very good .
BrianFlew with Helijet IntlCXH-YWHFeb 2024
BC Ferries is cheapest option (walk-on is quite inexpensive) if you have the time. Harbour Air and Pacific Coastal Airlines (YVR South Terminal) often have great sales. Helijet, even on sale, will likely be most expensive. But, Helijet is harbour to harbour (like Harbour Air), and can fly in the dark and in somewhat bad weather (Harbour Air can only fly during daylight).

Just an evening before they canceled my ticket and offered me ticket costing 3 x times more than. I will not fall prey to these scams,Will never book through kayak now. Such a bad experience.

was okay except.. 1)the porter check in webpage doesn't let you print your boarding pass from home 2)that there was a 90 min cut off for checking in on the kiosk in general, and to print a boarding pass, even tho i checked in online already....

Great! Personable crew. I love that they pour complimentary beer and wine.

I love the 2 seats per row. More room. The crew were excellent.

It was amazing although they did bump us up to the front which gave us more leg room and a meal. The service was great! The staff were friendly. :)

Overall very good... staff were friendly and helpful. boarding was good for the most part, but a little hard to get our carry-on bags on there.... I think people should be directed to keep their coats and small bags with them until all the carry-ons are loaded, and then, if there is space, they can put their small bags and coats up top.. makes it much easier to put baggage up. i loved the internet feature, but the entertainment was not there unless you have your own Netflix or similar platform. My chair did not recline, which was very annoying, and the arms won't go up near the isle, which makes it tough to get in and out of the seat.

Staff were excellant. Only snacks served. Some turbulence so we were offered Free beer or wine.

The staff is always great. Just the fact that our flight was the only one delayed from Halifax when all other carries were still flying. It happen a year ago out of Toronto as well. All others were flying but our flight got cancelled 1 hr before the time of departure.

The only issue had when i mentioned about comfort was the man beside me was on the larger side and took about 1/3 of my seat where i was pressed against the wall/window of the plane for the trip.

The check-in staff, boarding staff, and flight crew were all very friendly. Really miss the Porter lounge in Ottawa.

Service was superb, great gang Ya's have out of Prince George, BC.

Crew was nice especially by North American standards. Bad good. No entertainment screens. Terrible WiFi

This flight was better than the first. Two of the flight attendants were wonderful at supporting m through nausea and vomiting through the flight. No tv, no food, very interesting. I’ve never paid for wifi (just the $3 chatting) until these 2 flights. This experience has changed my opinion on layovers. Idk if I’ll ever do one again

Flights were cancelled setting me in panic mode since my much needed weekend escape with friends was only a short one. No apologies given at the airport nor on the plane. Flight was rescheduled

Not the greatest experience everything was pretty mediocre. My seat was by the washroom in the aisle and was not located well as everyone past each other people were right in my seat and space.

Lots of overhead storage, good crew, good service, smooth landing.

We didn’t make the flight due to Delta’s check in line moving too slow.

My husband required a wheelchair to get to the airplane and the service he received was exemplary. Thank you.

WestJet was able to re-book us to the next available flight at no charge when air traffic controller staffing shortage delayed our inbound flight

Plane changed to one with no entertainment system or ability to serve hot meals

I am a tall woman and could not move my legs enough to reach down under the seat in front of me to retrieve anything I put down there. I sat in both aisle and window seats and felt extremely cramped. In the aisle seat, if the stewardess was heavy, it was impossible to pass, and she would knock my arm shoulder and thigh every time she went by. If I can avoid it, I will not be flying this airline again.

Meet my expectations and I’m happy I choose sir Canada

Aircraft had technical issues. After 3 hours of trying to resolve, flight was cancelled. Was booked on a flight leaving 12 hours after intended departure. Now on 4 flights instead of 2 and a day late to my destination.

Great flights. 90 minute departure delay for maintenance issues, not a great start but, afer that very good. Didn't pay extra for seats and lucked into a window and an aisle seat. Price was excellent at the super low economy level.

Before final boarding, my husband and I — both seniors — were told that we could not bring our carry-on bags with us due to being in Zone 6. The staff took our bags with little explanation, stating it was policy. While we understand boarding procedures may vary by zone, the way we were spoken to was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. We felt disrespected and singled out, and the interaction left us deeply uncomfortable. As seniors, we expect to be treated with courtesy and dignity, especially during travel when accommodations and communication matter most. We hope you will look into this matter and ensure better training for staff in handling such situations with more empathy and professionalism.

The connecting flight was canceled without any compensation. I spent the whole night in Vancouver International. Very bad experience.

My luggage passed security but just before boarding the plane I watched as my luggage was thrown on the belt to enter the plane in Windsor and my luggage cover was half off. it was damaged before even making it onto the plane! I’ve had the luggage and covered for a year and have never had any issues. I mentioned it to an Air Canada employee who told me to use the app to make the crew aware of this (she said so they could fix it) but sure enough my luggage was damaged with no cover in sight! I sent an email to AC that was ignored. Awful experience! Also, a 4.5 hour flight and you are offered pretzels or a cheap single cookie?? Wow. The return flight did not have any entertainment available unless you used your own device and their wifi. The USB plug on the back of the seat did not charge my phone so my battery drained by using it for a short period of time. There was no warning that this was the case prior to boarding the aircraft. Lastly, the plane was freezing. I asked if they had any small blankets (which used to be standard) and was told they were only for the front section. Would never fly AC again!

Just a little improvement on food but everything is excellent

Enjoyed the flights with Air Canada. Friendly, courteous staff and flight crew - kept us informed and efficiently got us boarded and to destination on time. Seats were reasonably comfortable and good room in the overhead spaces.

In flight WiFi not working. entertainment system not functioning Food was mediocre poor for business class Service was ok but not excellent Crew were pleasant. Announcements were made at a ridiculous volume.

Almost no food given on a 5-hour flight (only a cookie, which is almost a joke). Boarding was a mess (as always, in Montreal boarding by zones is chaotic and the lines are a total mess). The entertainment system was old and with a limited selection.

Very bead I am going to Vancouver to toronto. Not boarding receive. Before flight ✈️ time I have to take boarding. Boarding manager asking me pay $89 . Just flight ✈️ time before I pay .after provided the Boarding pass. Flair Airlines management not good. But kayak is best application.

Not good Even after I made my booking, I was charged $90 for my boarding pass. I have collected boarding pass i pay $90 near . Flair airline not good. Without pay no boarding pass.

The flight was smooth, but the seats are not comfortable. I was not able to sleep. The sizes for the personal item and carry-on are way smaller than other airlines.

Leg room was terrible and seats very narrow. Flight was also delayed.

The worst airline experience that I ever had in my life. The fare was cheap but boy do you pay for it when it comes to baggages, carry-ons, food on board and lack of available staff at check-in. Almost every other passenger on my flight had the same complaints and experience. We all bonded discussing our displeasure. My husband and I will definitely not be traveling with Flair Airlines. We'll take anyone else.

The most uncomfortable plane I ever fly on. The seats won't even recline a little. For a 5 hrs flight at night and tired it felt like torture

Seats in 1 res are dispersed all over the plane, even child was across

Personally, I will not use this fight again. The service is poor, you have to buy even water. They don't provide anything even sneak, you have to buy. They said Personally items for 7 kg. Then they use some measurements, if you have 7kg and if it's not getting inside of their measurements, you have to pay 80$ this is robbery. I will prefer other flight then this. I am désappointement taking this airplane.

It’s a shameful company. It ask as to go to counter to take the boarding pass, they simply send it by email, just to check the bags’ size in a smaller than normal template. DONT USE FLAIR! It will be more expensive than normal airlines at the end.

flight was okay, no wifi, no free drinks but worst of all they lost my son's bike for four days. Customer service was nonexistent - call a number that leaves you on perpetual hold, there's no baggage folks in the baggage claims area (in vancouver). we went up to international and nobody was at ticketing, went to domestic and they had us fill out a form. they could not tell us where the bag was. Anyway, highly recommend you drop an airtag for anything that's worth more than $500. My son's bike costs a lot more than that to replace; I was on pins and needles for four days.
