Cons: "Dubai airport is highly disappointing. The bathroom situation is atrocious! I am not exaggerating when I say I waited in line of 25 and 35 women two different times! The men’s situation isn’t ideal but is no where near the problem that is the women’s restrooms. The boarding process is mildly confusing - there is no public drinking fountains but if you buy water you are not allowed to take it to your gate. This info isn’t posted anywhere and makes no sense bc you purchased the water after you were checked through security. Also this rule truly only applies to women. A stewardess showed preferential treatment to someone who looked more native than us and then didn’t apologize. I understood the customer was upset so the flight attendant was trying to pacify the lady/couple but at least apologize for being rude. Dubai airport very much favors men and I would never travel without my husband. I would fly Emirates again but it won’t be my top choice and I won’t be going back to the Dubai airport anytime soon."

By contrast to larger airports it is not at all clear where to go once you are in the departures area - fine if you are familiar with the airport, but confusing if not. I discovered I should make my way through secondary security into the departure gate area via a small unsigned door. There followed a good deal of confusion among the passengers as to where we should be waiting, and whether the flight was on time or not. Another area which could be improved, but not by the airline, is the listing of departure gates for connecting flights in Dubai. There are so many flights cycling on limited screen space, so you have only a few seconds to locate your flight, from around 90 or so, before having to wait for the cycle to repeat."

I hope they can think about giving Uae residents a fairer shake as we seem to pay a lot more for flights. Silver members used to get access to lounges but not anymore?? Taking things away feels worse than if we never had it before. Abu Dhabi Doha and Sharjah are all near and cheaper to dxb and it’s tempting to switch as they offer a comprable service. Also dxb is overcrowded itd a long taxi and walk depending on your gate."

Cons: "Emirates baggage on board policy is a bit strict compared to most of the other Asian and American flights I've been on. Usually I'm allowed a regular carry-on and a personal item (i.e., a small backpack), but Emirates was very strict on the personal items. Personal items are limited to only Business and First Class passengers. Also, they were extremely strict about the size of my carry-on. As someone who has been on 20+ flights in this year alone, few of them being budget airlines (which are generally very strict), I had no issues whatsoever with the size of my carry-on until I flew with Emirates."

Cons: "I didn't like the way they were talking to me about the strict rules on luggage weight limit. They asked to pay 30 dollars for one extra kg and even on the carry on bags. The staff who seemed to be a manager in Korea was telling me to leave behind everything as they are only allowing me total of 7kgs to carry on which includes my laptop (3kg already) and a small handbag! They are literally asking you to just carry your laptop, magazine and a toothbrush! Never seen this strict and stinge rules before. And they didn't even check my carry on weight when boarding after...after giving up my gifts to friends which were not worth paying extra 30 dollars! According to their seat allocation people who sat next to me seemed to be a double or triple size of me (No offence to these passengers) and I could not eat my meal properly because I had no room to move my arm. I asked politely to a crew to change my seat but they said it is full and gave me a cup of orange juice! How nice! I will discourage people to spend extra money on Emirates because you might not get the premium service you pay for!!"

There is not enough room to even reach down to pick something up if you drop it. Overhead lockers are full. I think planes either need to be redesigned with sleeping compartments (such as the second class compartments the trains have) for overnight flights or seats need to be slightly larger to make up for the fact most people are larger today."

Absolutely inadequate transfer at Munich airport. Lufthansa sold a ticket for a flight with 45 mins transfer, and your connecting flight is actually in a different terminal. In order to get to that terminal you need to walk 10 mins to a train station, take a train, and then go through passport control. All this in less than 45 mins (deduct 20 mins for boarding)? Madness.
The flight was cancelled. Twice.

They should acknowledge it and sell only flights that allow for 80-90 minutes in the airports that are so woefully managed (eg, Frankfurt and Munich). It’s back to BA for me!"

But when I went to the counter, my seat was changed without my consent (to a worse seat), and I was told that the online process wasn't complete!! Then the website should say accordingly. It's really annoying when this happens. I think the ground crew in New Delhi duped me. At one point, my call button for my meal was ignored for ~30 minutes on the plane. And then I was told there was no more chicken, and handed a veggie wrap. One wonders whether I could have gotten chicken 30 minutes ago!"
Cons: "As I checked in for the flight around 10 am on Saturday my ck in was "finished" because our pass ports were due to expire in April. We were not allowed to board our flight and the passport office is closed until Tuesday. As a result we lost $700 dollars to the hotel booked and Lufthansa may not reimburse us for the flights which were over $2000. Absolutely horrible service, no help. Negligent in informing us rapier when i chose seats for the flight. The flight was also delayed 2 and a half hours. We now have no vacation for which we paid $3000."

The Entertainment screen is so difficult to use, either hard to touch or so slow."

The connection flight was a bit redicilous, 1 hr to walk to the other terminal in frankfurt, the 1 hr flight delay , the boarding was like a zoo, no initiative to take control and organize the boarding, the elderly and the children and crammed withe other passengers.."

We traveled with another couple who've flown internationally multiple times, but this was their first Lufthansa flight as well, and they said it's the best they'd had. The crew were all excellent, friendly, and accommodating. There was plenty of entertainment options, refreshments, and snacks. The food was very good-much better than I'd expected. I appreciated that there were pillows, blankets, and headphones readily available as well. I'll try to fly Lufthansa every chance I get when flying internationally."

However, coming to the gate an hour before boarding the personnel working gate the said he was having computer difficulties and could not get me a seat and it would be 10 min. I continued to return till boarding to find out I had no seat and I was on standby. Upon going to customer service they replied the airline oversold tickets and every airline does this as if to make this practice ok. Well being in sales myself and if I were to sell x amount of product to one customer ( or several) I better make sure I have it all there to deliver. People rely on you schedule wise. Pros: "Seemed to have more leg room than average. Generally fine. I got to my destination without incident, and that is the most important thing! But flying today is awful. Uncomfortable, unpleasant, stressful, etc., all so the airlines (and their CEOs) can make millions."
Cons: "Crew was "all business" -- not many smiles. They offered the usually .5 ounce of pretzels or two cookies. Passengers routinely asked "can I have both?" and the answer was routinely: no. Really? My $300+ ticket isn't worth pretzels AND two cookies? Seems silly. And, you know that have BOXES of these free snacks."

Then I had to rush to catch the flight and missed any opportunity to have a decent lunch between flights. Then there was no food offered on the AA flight to Dallas."

In addition flights have very limited food options that accommodate persons with gluten/dairy allergies."

Also at the airport when I stopped and asked a Condor employee for directions to locate my connecting flight, her initial response was curt --that she could not help me as she was in the process of boarding passengers -- although there was no one but her there. She then directed me elsewhere."

Cons: "Entertainment provided was too limited for an 8 hour flight in my opinion. Two movies, one of which was animated, was an extremely slim selection. Also, entertainment was interrupted for the first hour of the flight as the audio was cut for a lengthy German announcement that was repeated in English. I felt like time was wasted when the same safety video was shown with English audio and a German subtitle. If there was a way to cut the second showing or display it in a different way, it could make the flight experience more enjoyable. The advanced headrest style wasn't implemented in the economy class. The long flight would have been more forgiving on my back and neck if the headrests could be the trifold model found on most modern airplanes. One meal type may have limited people enjoying or even eating their main cuisine."
Pros: "The crew was attentive and responsive. The exit row had adequate leg room for me because I am tall. Food was not bad."
Cons: "These are the following issues I had leaving Frankfurt: 1. They assigned me a different seat, even though I paid 99 euro to book a specific exit row seat. When I asked an employee at the airport, she told me I can contact Condor for a refund and gave no explanation as to the issue. I ended up showing a flight attendant my proof of purchase and my boarding pass with the exit row seat assignment and he was able to switch my seat. The person who was assigned my seat never paid for it, so he was willing to switch. I find this unacceptable. 2. The boarding process was a nightmare in Frankfurt. While I understand there was enhanced security due to the terrorism in Barcelona, it could have been handled far more efficiently. For instance, because I transferred airports from Barcelona, I needed to go through passport control twice and go through security again before boarding. The problem arose where there were two different lines to process the passports the 2nd time from Condor and when that was complete, to go through security. It was a large waste of time. 3. The flight was full to Austin. As a result, I was required to check my larger carry-on bag. They tried to charge me 75 euro for the second checked bag even though they were forcing me to check it on. Absolutely unacceptable. 4. They charge 8 euro for every movie and tv show available except two movies: Garfield and the last Harry Potter movies and 2 episodes of two tv shows. For an 11 hour flight, this was incredibly disappointing. The movies available were a mix of older and new. There should still be some unpaid entertainment options available in Coach. That's ridiculous."

I noted this in my review and was dreading the 10.5 hour return flight. I was pleasantly surprised to find a roomier seating arrangement with 2seats/aisle/3seats/aisle/2seats with larger seats and a bit more legroom. The service as before was attentive and efficient."

Pros: "Airplane in great shape, new, very clean. I am only 5'5" so, it's hard for me to judge on leg space but for my size, I felt very comfortable in economy class. The German crew was very friendly and efficiant. I was able to change my seat in the pre boarding area which was much appreciated and uncomplicated. They also offered to check in additional carry on items for no cost. On board crew members were amazing, friendly, efficient, vet pleasant experience overall."
Cons: "Service (regarding food, snacks and entertainment) was average. I really missed on board Wifi and internet which is on e of my Top priorities for long international flights. I did not even have a chance to look at the entertainment offers, just listened to music from their library which appeared to be well sized. Food (dinner and breakfast) were average, definitely can't keep up oth other major airlines. There was no "chicken/meat or pasta" option, they only served pasta with marinera sauce for everyone in economy class which was so so....., however, I personally don't judge Airlines on their food, I could not care less and I am not looking for fancy food. Service quality, friendiyness of the crew, safety, airplane statue and reliability are my main points and I definitely think Condor scored great in those categories. I saw there was an option to preorder food choices / wishes prior to departure. I wish they used recyclable dishes (e.g. Like Lufthansa) to minimize trash."

Pros: "Chose this flight for the price. Service on board was good. Friendly crew. Food was good and the beverage cart came by several times. I would only choose this airline again if my budget required it."
Cons: "While in Germany, I broke my leg, was in a cast, and required a wheelchair for mobility. The airport staff was not well organized to deal with people with mobility issues. After waiting for 25 minutes for someone to assist us to the gate, we decided we'd better just get there ourselves. The plane was already boarding when we made it there and an agent told us to just get in the back of the line. When we were half way through the queue another agent asked us why we were in the queue and at that time brought us to the head of the line boarding. The seats are tilted forward to make more room and it feels like you are sitting down slope...not enjoyable on a long flight. All the other flights, my wheelchair was waiting and my husband could take care of me. In Seattle, my wheelchair had been sent to baggage and we had to have an employee wheel me for liability reasons. He had two wheelchairs he was trying to maneuver, so we had to sit and wait several times while he was getting the other person to their destination. We were concerned about making our connecting flight."
