Cons: "On an 8 hour flight there’s no complimentary meal. I paid for a meal and it was worse than free plane food and starved for the rest of the trip. The chairs were horribly uncomfortable with no lower back support and we were not even given pillows and blankets. There was also no free entertainment. I rented a tablet and had it taken away an hour before landing while I was in the middle of a movie. I might have been ok with that if the flight attendant had politely asked for it back rather than rudely waving and pointing while I stared at her blankly trying to figure out what she wanted. Next time I’ll pay a bit more for an airline that respects its passengers and our comfort."
Cons: "Let me see, waited over an hour for a flight to catch up from Ottawa. Now flight to Vancouver over an hour late, gets in about 10 minutes before flight to Hong Kong leaves. So they say will wait for us as flight not full. Nope, flight leaves without 7 of us. Got the " don't know what happened" look. So they give us a $60 dollar food voucher, and take us to hotel because now must wait 12 hours for next flight. Tell us to be in lobby at a certain time to catch shuttle back to airport. Time comes, sorry no room, and buggers off. They call taxis, when drivers find drive for vouchers, tell us to load own baggage! Not likely to fly West Jet again."

Cons: "I didn't like that someone was reclining in there seat in front of me and it was so far down that it was uncomfortable even to sit in my seat or get to my table. Also was very disappointed that I had to pay for food even though it was way over 8 hours, in the end didn't even bother about food was not much of a choice. Also no TV on this long haul flight was really disappointed again, so I had to pay for a tablet was hugely disappointed. Needed more leg room was cramped on this flight."

Cons: "I did not like how the flight was not full and I paid nearly $800 for it and I was informed that that was at a "discounted rate". there was literally just over 30 guests on the flight. Also, when I initially called to change my booking I was greeted by the most unprofessional and disrespectful representative of WestJet. It wasn't until my third call that I reached someone willing to help me change my flight reservation and she was extremely happy to do so."

Insisted on sending it as oversize/fragile baggage and assured me that it would be carefully handled and loaded up through an elevator to a special pickup place. I did NOT like the prospect of dashing from one place to another to retrieve both my suitcase and my guitar. (I am a working musician). Upon arrival, I was advised to go to an elevator on the south side of the building, and attendants would help me. No attendants, nothing. Went to an information booth, and they said "oh no, you need to go to the special American Airlines luggage office [at the far other end of the building] and they will have it." Ran down there....nope, no guitar. They said "oh no, you need to go to this elevator on the north side at the other end of the building." Tore down there....no guitar, nothing. Got the attention of an attendant who said he would ride the elevator down and look for it. I was beyond frustrated and worried. Just then, another attendant called out "oh, a guitar just came out on the carousel!" Yes, the regular luggage carousel, which meant that it had been thrown onto a cart and bounced across the tarmac and tossed onto the conveyor belt like a suitcase, which is EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT DO. It managed to survive, but I cringe at the thought of flying with them again."

Cons: "The floor board was literally freezing (a man using the vents to cool his wine bottle). Many voiced their concerns and attendants were responsive, but it never got fixed. Perhaps a plane operation issue. So I was uncomfortable the entire flight along with everyone around me. When asked if they had a blanket to use, the only option was to purchase. Again, not any of the attendants problems - they were respectful. It seems like more of a company issue perhaps."

I didn't know which gate was flight was leaving from until after boarding the scheduled boarding time. When family in the States tried to get updates about the delays, the customer service rep gave incorrect information. I'm not sure that I'll be flying Aeromexico again."

Even thought we still had an hour before flight was scheduled to fly they claimed that we would not have enough time to check in bags before the departure. They then proceeded to acknowledge that it was customs fault but they can’t do anything about it. The rest of my party made it to the plane with plenty of time but my husband, 2 year old, 9 month old and I were left stranded in Tijuana, Mexico. The airline didn’t even offer a credit towards another flight, they we offering a new flight two hours later for $2,800 US. Then suggested to maybe arrive earlier next time, even though we arrived 3.5 hours before our domestic Mexico flight! Then when my party arrived at the destination they ask and complained about the incident and found out, the internal note said “ missed flight due to client refusing to pay luggage fees”! Horrible!!!!! What’s worse was that we had to spend the night the airport because they shut down shuttle/car rentals services. Aeromexico worst “company policy”and liars! Tijuana international airport is a joke! Don’t waste your time and money!"

Cons: "There were two runways in Mexico City and one was under maintenance so it took a long time from the moment we landed to the time we were able to get out of the plane. Then, they took our check-in luggage from the plane and it went through an inspection (bag by bag), so this caused another hour delay. After that they gave us our check-in luggage for us to take it to another location (to another floor) within the airport to be checked-in again. They wanted to charge us $20.00 additional per check-in bag even though they were half of the weight limit. After we complained, they dropped this charge. Due to all the delays we lost our connection and we had to book another flight. Not a good experience. We will never make a stop in Mexico in the future."
Cons: "On my way to Lima I flew through Mexico City. It took over three hours to get through customs and caused me to get to my gate minutes before the flight closed its gate. For this reason I made note to upgrade my flight so I could be close to the front of the plane and get to customs as quickly as possible. Aeromexico made me check my bag which is the SAME bag I came down with. Same size, same Weight. Their reasoning for this was because they had a full flight, yet I had paid extra to upgrade in the first place and their policy states you can bring on one carry on to store in the overhead. I'll likely miss my connection due to this. I will never fly Aeromexico again."
Pros: "The comfort level on Aeromexico's planes to Mexico City and beyond is beyond belief, in this age of shrinking passenger space. In an ordinary ("back of the bus") seat in coach there was more than ample legroom for a more-than-six-footer, and row 28 has two windows to look out at the scenery aft of the wings. And food was even provided at no extra charge! In this situation there certainly was no need to purchase at an additional cost whatever Aeromexico calls its "premium economy" seating."
Cons: "The entertainment system is limited --- there are no games on the seat-back installed machinery. In addition, the earphones provided are only ear-buds, which don't work well in my ears. (I prefer the miniature headphones other airlines provide.) The volume controls were also poorly scaled. The lowest three levels of volume weren't enough to even hear a single sound, the next level up was a little soft or quiet and the highest level far to loud to preserve a listener's hearing."
Pros: "The flight was a Delta code share. It said non stop even though we had to change planes in Monterrey. It was unclear which terminal the flight departed from. A fellow passenger was given a boarding pass JFK to Guadalajara. In Monterrey they wouldn’t let him go through security. We went to the gate to find an agent to help. Of course there wasn’t one. I asked security to,page an agent. One arrived several minutes later, seemed to understand, and escorted him through security. On our return, the email I received to check in for the flight said we were flying JFK to Guadalajara. In fact we were flying the opposite. Clumsy and confusing. The food was dreadful (at least there was some?). The service onboard was courteous but not friendly. All four flights departed and arrived late. The jet bridge wouldn’t work on our arrival back at JFK and we were stuck on the plane another 30 minutes."

Pros: "Aeromexico provides blankets; particularly useful on this overnight flight. The snack - such as it is - is certainly a step above what I get when I fly the same route on United. Also the entertainment system is much better, and free! This includes the flight map, although this was not functioning on the Calgary - Mexico City leg of my trip. Cabin staff are friendly and efficient. I paid extra for the exit row on the Calgary-Mexico City leg. Unfortunately, the cabin crew put another passenger in the seat adjacent to me, so I lost my expected room to stretch out. I'm tall, and this really affected my comfort on this long overnight flight."
Cons: "In-flight map wasn't working. Beer, scotch or red wine are not available, although other alcoholic beverages are available, apparently without charge. Mexico City is a terrible airport to have to pass through. Everyone has to go through Immigration (similar to US airports in that regard) even if just in transit. However, they have few officers there, and almost half of the available booths weren't even manned. The result was chaos, with the immigration hall filled with grouchy travellers, and other travellers stuck in aircraft waiting to disembark. Expect to be stuck in Immigration for a minimum of an hour after landing; maybe plan on 1 1/2 hours just to get through Immigration and Customs. And if you are making a connection, whatever you do don't go through the sliding doors on the other side of Customs - I made that mistake once!"

I was unceremoniously bumped back to coach and placed in front of two screaming children who proceeded to yell, kick my seat and hit me in the head for the entire flight. Never fly aeromexico"

Pros: "The crew is always kind and helpful, and notorious airplane food was actually a joy! We were fed so well, we had leftovers for later. The individual screens had a good choice of movies and music. The Dreamliner 787 was quite nice. More legroom than other planes, an abundance of bathrooms and open space to stand up for a while (and rock your cranky toddler!)"
Cons: "I had no problems with the flight at all, but it wasn't as nice as the trip down. They both said they were Dreamliner 787s but on the way down the airplane was amazing! The overhead compartments were the best, lots of head and leg room, and the electronic tinting on the windows was really cool. The return trip was on the same kind of plane but it seemed just a bit older, with less room and older window shades. Not a huge deal, just not as amazing as the other plane."

No last second delays or flight rescheduling as happens with US carriers. I'll take Aeromexico ANY day over the shitty US airlines. And for those complaining about info not being readily available in English, it doesn't hurt to learn a little Spanish"

Cons: "Was kicked off my flight for some reason. It was not explained to me very well, but I gathered it was from another plane earlier in the day that was cancelled. I don't know how I was selected to be kicked off. The poor communication was very annoying. I stood at the counter for 45 minutes after the airline personnel took my STB ticket, and didn't tell me what was going on. Would have been a LOT more pleasant of they just told me the flight was full, and my name would be called if I was on the flight. Then I could at least sit down, instead of standing there for 45 minutes."

First time I have ever come across such a problem. Absolutely terrible."

Pros: "AA canceled our flight on 9/13 and rescheduled us to 9/15 for no apparent reason. There were flights leaving Orlando. When I called to ask why since all I received was a text message the customer service rep was rude. Then I received another text message on 9/13 at 4:30 am saying my flight was canceled and we were rebooked again!!! After calling again I was told if I want to leave on Friday we would have to leave from another airport that was over an hour away which means $225 in transportation to get us there! This is on top of the 2 additional hotel nights we paid for and additional meals. When I asked if we would be compensated for all the additional expenses we were incurring I was told it's weather related so probably not. I informed the rep that flights have been leaving Orlando since Tuesday 9/12 so that cannot be the case. She said to try to contact them online. UNACCEPTABLE. I will not fly AA again and I will not recommend them to family or friends. If I could give zero stars I would but the survey defaults to one star."

Cons: " the "group system" boarding process arranges passengers in an aleatory way making the process totally chaotic. For instance last groups are the last ones to enter the aircraft and don't easily find space for the hand luggage. They have to accommodate bags under the front seat making the already uncomfortable trip more painful. Also this process may delay the departure time.  Food service is terrible. no options, specially for kids or people with food restrictions. Not even the payed ones offer healthy food alternatives.  No comfort at all for a flight that departs little before midnight and arrives at 7 am at its destination. They forgot about the pillows and blankets you find in other airlines.  at the end, when I collected my baggage I realized 1 wheel was missing from one of my suitcases. I informed the airline and 3 days later I receive an email saying that the airline is not responsible for damages that include wheels and other "baggage accessories" I did not rate the flight poor because at least it manages to arrive to its final destination..."

Cons: "AA failed to allow me to check in at initial arrival in Grande Prairie airport so I had to rush to get a boarding pass in Calgary where the AA agent told me it was not an AA problem and sent me back to WestJet. WestJet discovered that it was an AA problem and returned me to the AA counter where it was resolved. Then I had to rush to catch the flight and missed any opportunity to have a decent lunch between flights. Then there was no food offered on the AA flight to Dallas."
Cons: "The wifi prices are absolutely outrageous. In a time where hotels are giving wifi away for free bc it's baked in their pricing and costs the airline should be doing the same. It leaves a bitter taste of feeling nickel and dimed when you charge spears toy for this. Especially at $21 for a 3 hour flight. Seriously?"

Once we boarded after like - 10 delays and a gate change, there were NUMEROUS whole-flight mixups with luggage - so many similar flight numbers traveling to same destination and whole flights awaiting their luggage. Our party of four had our luggage spread through THREE different planes. WTH? No customer service at DTW once we arrived and there were so many livid people. Absolutely awful. We were supposed to arrive at 5PM and it's now 3:11AM. My son just completed filing a luggage claim loss. And we are off to drive home to Grand Rapids two hours away. Nightmare."

Very scary experience overall on the runway, but they tried to handle it as smoothly as possible under the unusual circumstances."

You have to wait on a bench until they call your name and they don't care if your flight is about to be boarding. I understand that immigration is necessary but they could at least have people form a queue instead of having us wait for our names to be called. I told them that my flight would be boarding in 25 minutes and they told me "Oh, don't worry, they'll just put you on the next flight". But when I got to my airline to check in, they charged me $150. I needed that $150 to pay some bills when I got back home."

I attempted to go to the desk for a food voucher but they didn't have enough workers and were focused on getting people with connections onto another flight and told me to wait. Pros: "This was the absolute worst experience of my life. Out flight from Calgary to LAX was on the complete other side of the airport than our connector to San Diego. After a delay we had a short amount of time to get to the next flight. We literally were told to just cross the parking lot. Well... that ended up being a 25 minute run across the airport to only have to go thru security again. After navigating construction and parking structures we got to our gate 10 minutes late and would not be let on the flight. There was zero communication, sympathy or help from the United Airlines staff. We were told it was not their problem because we came in through Air Canada- BUT we booked through United! All in all it was an absolute nightmare that ended in us renting a car at 12am and driving back to San Diego with zero compensation from United Airlines"
