Everything was outstanding
Some passengers paid no respect for seating comfort, they reclined fully which made it difficult to eat and flight attendants didn’t pay attention to crying babies and never tried to help the mothers caring for the child… attendants where missing for over 3 hours once they turned lights off..

Cons: "They keep the cabin temperature too warm the entire flight. The seats are too stiff."
Pros: "Very comfortable business class. Amazing food prepared on board. Flight crew was very pleasant, helpful and professional. The business class lounge in Istanbul was amazing as well, 2 stories tall with food, drink and entertainment everywhere. Golf simulator, slot cars etc!!!"

Cons: "On the runway, the crew upgraded a family with two small toddlers. They cried on and off non stop and walked back and forth in business class. I pay for business class so I can have some peace and quiet ! Crew informed everyone that they switch this family seat due to the safety of this family seat. I understand they need seats but crew should upgrade another couple with no toddlers and maybe a star alliance gold member rather than give this family with the toddlers the upgrade. No one wants to pay for business class with 2toddlers crying and up and down aisle ."
Cons: "Turkish Airlines does not communicate with its passengers. If the flight is late (as both of ours were), you wait with no information as to when the flight leaves. The same lack of communication occurs once you on board. I joked to my wife that the cargo on a Fed-Ex flight is given more information. Arrived in Istanbul with a very tight connection. Airplane was not given a gate so we needed to take a bus to terminal. The bus dropped us just about as far from our connecting gate as possible. Since it took four buses to transport passengers, one could have been designated for US bound transfer passengers (who were all leaving from same group of gates) and taken us directly there."

Cons: "Didn't happen. My first leg to Athens was canceled which created a humongous headache since it ended up canceling my return flights. Air Canada had to put me on completely new flights there and back. I think this has taught me to go directly through an airline. Justfly was not helpful. Neither was Turkish airlines."
Pros: "Entertainment system was great. Plenty of movies, games, & tv shows available. Food was good - two full meals during 10 hr. Flight to and from Chicago. Seats, even in economy, were comfortable. Was very happy to learn that baggage would be checked thru to Denver from Athens, even though plane changes were made in Istanbul and Chicago. The two bags did not make the Chicago/Denver transfer, but were on the next United flight an hour later."
Cons: "Boarding process in Athens and Istanbul was confusing. Although boarding groups were assigned, none were used that we could tell. Just mass lineups, with little or no organization that we could see."
Cons: "The flight was delayed from Athens by 1.5 hours. Crew assured us we would make our connections. When we landed no info was given. No announcements made. We were forced to clear security again, even though just transferring and, after running to our gate, found the connection had left and the gate was abandoned with no one to tell us where to go or what to do. The lack of communication and information was appalling. Most people eventually found their way through the airport to a desk that booked them on a flight the next day. It was exhausting and the Turkish staff were unsympathetic."
Pros: "Excellent service, flight attendants are very kind, answered questions, very caring to seniors and children (couple seniors next to me and a little kid in front of my seat). Good are good and always provide variety of drinking. Smooth and punctuated flight. Thanks for your excellent service!"

Cons: "Missed Flight: The flight from Istanbul to Athens was posted as delayed. We were a party of eight and arrived for boarding very close to deadline (minus posted delays) At the boarding gate we were met by six other passengers. The gate was vacant and closed. The real problem happened at the Turkish Airlines desk where we were treated with arrogance, disdain and absolutely no compassion. AS a matter of fact some of the Turkish Airlines staff smiled as they imposed an outrageous fine to purchase tickets to the next flight and continuation of our previous booking. We intend to protest the charges and contact thru many forms of media inform as many fellow travellers of the incident and subsequent treatment by Turkish Airlines. Social media is a powerful tool and although the cards were held in their favor the night of 9-21-17 our protest will not end here. We are fourteen wounded travellers that have agreed to use as many forms of social media as possible to get our message out."

Cons: "The seats were tight when the person in front leaned all the way back. His or her head was practically in my lap forcing me to lean back, to the annoyance of the person behind me. All was fine after the meal when everyone leaned back."

Cons: "They didn't have a vegan menu. I had requested vegan and called over the phone a month before my flight and they said they understood. Then on the flight I was told they only do vegetarian which was not good enough. After food was passed out to guests the flight crew dissapeared and never came to collect food trays till about 2 hours after and guests were starting to make a mess leaving food trays on the ground and isles. I had already selected my seat prior to boarding which I paid hundreds of dollars for. Then after boarding the flight crew asked me and the gentleman sitting next to me to move our seats to accomodate for another man that wanted to sit next to his wife. Then I was stuck in a middle seat and I paid for an isle seat. I thought this was rediculous. No one offered me a discount or anything! And the man that wanted to sit next to his wife wouldn't let the plane leave till he was sitting next to his wife. What was I supposed to do? Hold up the plane even longer? This was so crazy!! Outrageous!"

Cons: "My flight was cancelled twice within 24 hours before takeoff. All I got was an email saying it was cancelled and a number where no one could help me. I spent over $40 international calls just to reschedule my flight, only to have to take a $80 cab to the airport to have a human help me. Worst customer service and worst experience. I was trying to get home after a natural disaster struck my hometown and Turkish Airlines actually made that experience even worse. At no point did anyone even apologize for cancelling two of my flights without another option until a full week later. I had to pay to fly myself home from Boston because they were so unhelpful. Would never recommend Turkish Airlines to anyone I know whn traveling internationally."

Some of them didn't speek English and didn't understand why thy have to stay in the airport.On the other hand I saw how the officials laughed at him because he tried to fight for the place on the flight by using a foreign language. In fact, there was one time in which I asked for some water in a long flight (because they dont offer from time to time as other companies do, and I was truly polite in my request) and the guy from the crew told me 'please go and fetch'. I had to point these two huge guys sleeping next to me I had no relation with (I was at the window seat) for him to realize that he was being ridiculous."

I was disappointed that TK airlines did not allow me to check the luggage through to Frankfurt because the flight was on a different ticket . As an Elite Plus member , I expect better cooperation among the star alliance member airlines . I had to check out and back again , took almost two hours of waiting in lines . Good that on this occasion I had sufficient time and did not miss the LH flight ."

These people lost my luggage, were at least 30 minutes late for each of 5 flights on this trip and that includes the one that I was forced to take after this flight took off late and after landing they couldn't find a parking spot for their plane at the largest airport in their home country. Obviously I missed my connecting flight back to JFK. I was stranded in Istanbul overnight and forced to buy a temporary visa just to go to the hotel they offered for causing we to miss my connecting flight. What legitimate airline is so disorganized they can't figure out how take off on time, to de-board passengers, and park their planes at their main airport?"
