My advise find another airline. Qantas is in decline & its bad management more than Covid.

Bring back Avod to the back seat.

Main problem was that the inflight entertainment system did not work on two legs of a Sydney to London Heathrow flight. They tried very hard to fix it in Sydney and Singapore without success. Apart from that, a very comfprtable flight

Cons: "American Airlines cancelled a flight because of ‘weather’ from Msy to dfw, all other flights from Msy to Dallas operated on time but were sold out. We were re booked flying through San Francisco, missing out on flying on qantas, which is what I had paid for since they are a premium airline. We were booked on virgin America and then United for the international flight. United charged us each for 2 bags totalling $150 each, despite we booked a ticket with qantas which allows 2 bags each. Virgin America honoured our 2 bags, but united refused to. United also has service and aircraft which do not match the levels of qantas which I has specifically sought out. I could not eat some of the food because of the poor quality, and this is something I’ve never done before on an international flight. Additionally their were a lack of amenities on both flights, and no food vouchers despite our travel delay of over 5 hours. This whole ordeal has cost me money, worktime, and created a lot of stress to where I have had to cancel meeting on my arrival in Sydney."

They greet you when you board, don't feel like a number like domestic flights in the USA be it American, Delta, United, or one of the others. They provide free premier movie access, serve a nice warm meal and drink, and make you feel welcomed - Keep up the great work Qantas, you could give the USA airlines lessons on how to treat passengers."

The food wasn't. I flew 8 and a bit hours and before landing was asked if I wanted a coffee, I needed that coffee. I didn't get that coffee. We flew for 8 hours and then they ran out of service time. I thought that was rediculous. I also got this feeling that every milliliter of water and milk and everything was being counted.

Every single one of my flight were delayed. On top of that when I asked for water I didn’t get it the first time. I had to ask for it multiple of time.

Cons: "This is a review of a different flight I took as titled. I tried to write with a previous link but it did not work. During the flight, I went to the washroom and as I was there, the seatbelt light went on. As I was trying to hurry up to finish, the flight attendant started banging on the door telling me I needed to get back to my seat. I replied I was coming (twice) but she kept banging on the door and yelling that I needed to go back now. This happened about 4 times in 30 seconds. I was moving as quickly as I could. She then proceeded to unlock the door - which I then immediately re-locked. And I replied with that I was moving as quick as I could. She then unlocked it again and opened the door about two inches (while I was still on the toilet) and told me I needed to get to my seat. I said yes I’m coming and pulled the door back. There was some turbulence which is why the seatbelt light was lit - however I have never been on an airline that was so abrasive and aggressive like that. I have never been interrupted on the toilet like that when the seatbelt light has gone on. There is a reason the light is also in the washrooms so that customers know the pilots request. I am still so stunned with that response. After the flight had landed, I asked another flight attendant on the same flight about the airline policies in that situation. She said she was surprised that another flight attendant had opened the door on me and I should talk to the manager on flight. When I went to speak to the manager in hopes of her correcting the behaviour of a flight attendant that may not be using best practices, I was informed it it was actually her (Crystal) that had been trying to get me to go to my seat. She was immediately defensive and stood strong in her belief that she needed me to know that I needed to get to my seat right away and she could not hear my response. She said it was a safety concern and wanted to make sure I wasn’t unconscious in the washroom. I pointed out she would have known I was conscious because I had relocked the door after she unlocked it . She came up with another possibility “maybe you were Asian and couldn’t understand English”. I started the conversation calmly and felt she was very defensive from the start. She did verbally apologize, however it was forced, insincere and followed by why she was “in the right”. I don’t know if the above is inline with Jetstars policies however it’s opposite everything I have experienced on any other airline. I told Crystal she made me feel humiliated and that the experience was mortifying and she dismissed that and said it was a safety concern. I hope that this isn’t a jet star policy and that staff can be told how to deal with a situation such as the above. If it is in line with what Jetstar wants their staff to do I will definitely never be flying Jetstar again and advising my friends and family to do the same. The check in man was rude and definitely could've helped a backpacking student as myself out... the flight was practically empty I don't think weight of luggage mattered!"

Cons: "Excessive baggage charges. Very poor check in. Nobody was there to help us check in our bags as there was no check in counter. Not even a drop of water offered in the flight for free. Very narrow seats with no seat pockets to keep any personal articles."

Cons: "The plane was over 2.5 hours late with no explanation. Coffee and tea were not free on this 9 hour flight on the morning rounds - one would sethink you back 4 whole dollars! The lady laughed at my flabbergasted face whend my jaw dropped and I said I couldn't afford that for water and a tea packet. Absolutely no value for cost, and beyond disappointing. I will spend whatever it takes to never use this airline again."

Cons: "This is the cheapest company I ever used. During the booking process they did not mention that they have a 7 kg limit on carry on items. This is not the case when you attempt to book a flight within Australia; clearly deceiving foreign travelers. In any case, I paid extra $24 to check in a (20 kg) bag. When arrived to the airport I voluntarily weighted the hand bag which was 8.2 kg. I explained that I am an international traveler with no mean of exactly weighing the bag. They insisted on checking in the extra bag and charged me additional $50 to do so. With those hidden fees, I ended up paying more for the flight than the competitors. During the flight, they offer nothing for free (not even water or coffee)."
Cons: "They cancelled our flight 2x and customer service was awful. Ended up getting a refund and flying with Hawaiian. Never again will I fly with Jetstar"
Cons: "Jetstar and similar Australian airlines are corrupt. You have to purchase additional luggage allowance 3 hours before flight time, and then it goes to $15AUD per pound. This was not clear to me. I was shocked when I was asked to pay $500 for my check-in luggage flying from Brisbane to Sydney, which was 6 times the price of my plane ticket. Corrupt!"

Cons: "the flight was delayed almost 2 hours. we had to wait around the airport which was very boring and a waste of time. if we had been informed of the delay we could've gotten to the airport much faster. a free glass of water on board would've been nice."

Cons: "I will never fly this airline again!!! I have flown to Sydney from the U.S. at least 7 or 8 different times and have NEVER been treated so poorly! This was a 10 hour flight and the flight attendants wouldn't even give you water!!! You had to pay $4 a bottle!! That is utterly ridiculous! I just got off an amazing domestic flight with Delta on only a 5 hour flight and they gave us FREE unlimited soft drinks, juice, coffee, tea and WATER!!! They also gave nuts, pretzels and cookies and we're kind enough to give my 3 children extra. Also, to our wonderful surprise their inflight entertainment was free as well! I PAID for inflight entertainment on Jetstar & my TV barely worked! The food was horrendous and ridiculously expensive! When I asked if I could have a cup of water, the flight attendant on Jet star told me to go to the back of the plane and get it myself!!!!! Are you serious??? I went to get it myself and then got yelled at by another flight attendant who told me, " you're not allowed back here!" Get your stories straight Jetstar ugh attendants - or how about you give your passengers FREE water on their 10 hour flight!! Because I had to get the water myself, I then got trapped in the back of the plane because ALL the flight attendants were in the isles for 30 minutes taking the entire planes drink orders & everyone had to pay by credit card! When they weren't in the isles being cashiers, they are found sleeping in the back and knitting! Really? This what I paid for- to watch them sleep & knit??? And me or my family (3 children) couldn't even get water or decent food? Thanks for nothing Jetstar!!! Never again!"
Pros: "They were very efficient at boarding, and crew was nice. All our flights were on time and had no issues."
Cons: "The baggage fees were all over the board, for the same piece of luggage I paid anywhere from $28 (pretty standard) to $49. I'm not sure what dictates the difference, as when I printed off the itinerary for the 4 flights we had they all said $28 and no one could give me an explanation of why the change or difference. The bag was in within the standard weight limits. Had I know that I probably would have chosen a different carrier as they weren't that much less expensive."

Cons: "I booked a seat and did not get the seat l had booked."
Pros: "The seats were comfortable, sufficiently soft and reclined nicely. We brought a lot of food on the flight, knowing they weren't providing any, and they didn't care that we had a lot of our own food."
Cons: "It was a long flight (10 hours) without being provided any food or beverage other than water. The prices for the food and beverages will very high. They could have offered at least a beverage other than water for free."
Cons: "Lesson learned, NEVER fly Jetstar again. As an international traveler, I had an oversized bag with me that was free on my other 4 flights, but got totally blindsided by the exorbitant fee Jetstar charged. It would have cost $25 in the USA IF they would have charged me, $170 on Jetstar. Ruined my day."
Cons: "I will never fly Jetstar again!! ONLY AFTER I BOOKED AND PAID, the system allowed me to book my baggage. Imagine my disgust when I was charged over $100 per bag!! If I had known the outrageous baggage charge, I would not have used this airline, and I never will again."
Cons: "Every review regarding baggage is true - they will getcha. Make sure to weigh your carry on as well as your checked. My friend ended up having to check her luggage cause they weighed her backpack! The flight is cheap but if you don't pay up front for the extra weight you will be screwed on the day of."
Cons: "We were stuck on the tarmac for 3 hours and there was no attempt to make us passengers comfortable during that time. Poor service."
