Cons: "We had about a 35 minute wait once on the plane before we could take off. Not sure why it took so long (other than they said we were number 7 for takeoff). Also once we went through airport security and sat around we had to go through security again before getting to our waiting area (or hold area) but we had to throw out our water. Not sure why seeing as we purchased the water in the airport."

They keep mentioning that is the US Dept of Homeland security guidance but Philippines is the only place I travelled with this stupidity. Then they gave you water while waiting and a bottle cap is considered a security hazard? Come on. The airline has few open seat at the first and business class, I offered to buy and told me that it'll cost $1000 and the plane is not even full! #philippineairlines is willing to have empty seats rather getting some needed cash. The flight attendant are so uptight and would give you attitude when ask for assistance...this is a customer service industry, if you don't want to be at your workplace then leave. The plane is old and no entertainment offer."
Pros: "Don't normally like leaving from JFK, but it was a direct flight to Vancouver, and the price was right. Also, they included 2 free bags in economy, a big savings. Also the meals were ok, and wine was included. Entertainment system was fine."

Leg room was not an issue for me as I am an average Asian height but for medical purposes - there should be a policy for them to separate sick-looking passengers from older passengers and children."

How can an international airline company allow themselves to be treated like that? The crew looked overworked - what are these airline companies doing to these young professionals - treat them like slaves? I'm not surprised - that's the Philippines companies ways - pay them just enough so they can come back the next time to work."

Even though the flight crew was decent, I will not return. This was my first and will be my last time flying with this airline."

An hour later they find out that they cancelled the flight and moved my departure time to 8:25am for that day. They say they emailed 3 times in May but I never got it (I'm a bit crazy about my email staying clean) so they say it might have went in to my spam folder due to they types of emails they send to customers. They only kept repeating that they notified me so there is nothing they could do. I ended up going to Air Canada to get a flight to PHX the next day. No apology, no help, no hotel for the night...Terrible experience by United. They gave me a customer relations group contact information to follow up with for complaint but since they sent me the 3 emails in May about the change, they have no liability to fix the situation."
