Pros: "It took me home."
Cons: "Mediocre food, obnoxiously long boarding and decent process, dated plane, limited leg room compared to competitor flights, apathetic attitude of staff and depressing mood on board."
Cons: "Our first segment was delayed and when we landed, no priority was given to get off the plane and run for next flight. We barely made it. Got to Dubai for a wedding and our luggage didn’t make it. There were five of us flying together. No one got their bags. We landed at 1030 pm and went to out first event that night in the same track suit I flew in. Awful airline. Never again."
Pros: "The flight attendant crew is pretty good. They don’t speak great English and when they are working they are short and not so courteous, however after they have served and a bit more relaxed they are pleasant."
Cons: "Ticketing staff are horrendous to be polite. There is no such thing as customer service. Checked in online and had seat confirmation and when I was at the booth my connection flight had me sitting somewhere completely different. I showed the email confirmation to the ticketing agent and she said that’s not a confirmation and would have nothing to do with it. I quickly realized i was going to get no where so left it."
Pros: "Plane was clean"
Cons: "Crew walked around with only water no juice. There was no fruit or refreshments for such a long flight as on other airlines. The two meals had very little meat in them very mediocre Seats very narrow."
Pros: "The aircraft crew was polite"
Cons: "The connecting flight left me. Had to stay in China for a day. Mumbai airport didn't communicate with airlines in China"
Pros: "A completely packed plane on a 14 hour flight from Beijing to NYC, freezing cold. I was too exhausted to eat my second meal. The flight attendants were great, but i"ll avoid flying Air China in the future."

Cons: "TV broken pocket that held reading material was ripped and had wire sticking out, crew was friendly"
Cons: "We were delayed in the plane on the ground for seven hours. I missed my connecting flight by five hours. Worst flying experience I have ever had."
Cons: "Since we missed our flight to LAX, we had to walk up to the immigration office again and asked for a re-book of a flight to LAX. Unfortunately, the next one was in 9 HOURS! Horrible experience at the airport with lackluster WiFi that can't even load simple Facebook messenger. Our loved ones waited at LAX with no updates whatsoever for ~9 hrs."
Pros: "Literally nothing. I guess the crew was nice. Sufficient at least and not unpleasant."
Cons: "Where to start. First off, I have flown budget air carriers with more leg room than this pacific international flight. I do admit I am a taller than average guy, but if you are over 6' tall you will have NO legroom. And I mean none. It is an insulting amount of legroom. My 5'6" wife barely had any room, never mind myself. On my flight back, I requested an emergency exit row seat (as I noticed on the flight over the emergency exit row was filled with old people and young couples with babies/ young children). And was informed it would cost $120 USD per flight per person. My jaw almost hit the floor. You mean to tell me that the emergency exit row - the row where in the case of an emergency you are supposed to physically be able to assist passengers - actually COSTS money to sit in? That is an absolute disgrace. You have to pay for the added responsibility to help in the case of an emergency? Of course, once I was on the flight the emergency exit row was filled with old people and babies. All of course perfectly capable of helping in the case of an emergency. I was, and still am furious. The gall to charge that much money and then give the responsibility to people unable to help? Meanwhile, an able-bodied couple in the 20s is denied and I am cramped in my less-than-acceptable-for-budget-airlines legroom. And the food. Putrid. Inedible. It was somehow overwhelmingly fragrant while far too bland. Its hard to imagine someone putting together that meal and feeling proud. The meals all screamed "I do not care about my customers." In fact, that is the overwhelming feeling I got from Air China. An airline that truly could not careless about their customers. I would not reccommend. Even if they are the cheapest by a far margin. Stay away. Do not go near. Air China is a terrible airline that should be avoided at all costs."
Pros: "Just fine."
Pros: "Crew was good Food was decent"
Cons: "Flight departure time is very inconvenient. Room to improve food variety and quality"
Cons: "Food and Entertainment was worst. I travel 2nd time with Air China. This I feel like traveling with local Chinese service not like international service"
Cons: "Flight delayed without communication.Crackers & water that was served were all expired.Bad service."
Pros: "They put us in a hotel until a departure time was confirmed."
Cons: "Original departure 17:20. Then delayed by two hours. Followed by workers saying I don't know when the plane will come."
Cons: "I've flown over seas several times before. Typically, in my experience, the oversea carriers provide an extra bit of leg room for the long distance travel. Air China apparently doesn't feel the need though. My legs were crammed up in the seats and I felt like I was on an 11 hour budget airliner flight. I checked in for my flight as early as possible, but was told there were not emergency exit rows available. Upon entering the plane, I saw the emergency exit row was filled with elderly people who's feet barely touched the floor. In the case of an emergency, it is supposed to be the responsibility of those in the exit row to assist passengers off the plane. I'm young, able bodied, 6'6" and willing to help, but I was denied an exit row seat? Instead my legs have to spill out into the aisle? It wasn't easy for the flight attendants either, because their service carts kept hitting my legs. I didn't mean to make their job harder, but my legs couldn't physically fit in the seat I was given."
Cons: "I got my baggage after 4 days from landing."
Cons: "They lost my reservation"
Cons: "wouldnt let our entire group on the flight after we all had seats because of a delay in our connecting flight."
Cons: "Please see above...All 4 of Air China flights to and from JFK to Beijing & Beijing to Bangkok were delayed... one of them over an hour another over two hours another one over three and a half hours and another one over an hour and a half. Missed even their own connecting flights! The seats were cramped and tight the food was horrible, really quite disgusting. They walkthrough very quickly with a water bottle and cups when I really feel they should mandatory pour you water on such long flights if you are not sleeping. If you do not get their attention they just pass you. They also should conserve and or do recycling they go through a lot of waste of cups, utensils xcetera. The movies they offered were mainly Chinese. The headphones work huge and not adjustable, they kept falling off. Also when I needed to change my flight due to an emergency I was on hold multiple times with several disconnections for a total of over six and a half hours over a two-day time span. Finally got through when I called the insurance company could barely understand there customer service person. They ended up calling me back left a voicemail saying that I was all set for me to call back I went through the whole process again of being on hold for three hours and then get disconnected. When I went to check in and get my boarding pass in Bangkok to fly back they said I didn't have a ticket they pulled me out of line and waited for about a half an hour and they finally printed me a ticket. I also have the experience as to when I was sleeping as most of the plane was sleeping approx 95% there were a whole bunch of Asian people standing up gathered around the restroom talking very very very loudly! I finally called for the attendant and reminded her that I paid for my ticket too and I would like to be able to rest and if she could ask them to sit/quiet down, she did but it only lasted so long... I could hear it completely through the headphones with the music. So if you decide to fly Air China I would definitely make sure that your connecting flights are far apart, pay for business or first class, preorder your meal/ bring your own food, bring your own headphones and do not plan on changing your flight- so don't get hurt on your vacation/travel. Btw.. they don't even serve breakfast or offer coffee... it's all Chinese food either chicken beef or pork with rice or noodle. GOOD LUCK!"
Pros: "Crew was a bit nicer."
Cons: "China security was ridiculous but cant necessarily blame the airline. Bought water in the airport past security but was made to throw it out in a secondary check at the gate. Food was awful"
Cons: "The seat is not comfortable."
Pros: "Taking off an landing were smooth"
Cons: "The food was not good at all. I ordered a vegetarian meal and it was really bad. It tasted really bad. On the flight back, we made sure that we ate before we got on the plane. We brought pizza on the flight and had oatmeal packets just incase. The airline hostess were all very rude. Didn't care to speak english or understand our needs. The check in reps were also rude. Theres no such thing as good customer service when it comes to air china. I will never recommend this flight to anyone or will i fly on this airline ever again."
Pros: "Air China was a very pleasant experience since the price of the ticket was only $622. The plane was good, service was good, food was average and service was fine. The flight was basically easy and I would not hesitate to fly Air China."
Cons: "The food was just average"
Pros: "The flight had a good entertainment selection. The hostesses were kind. I appreciated that the staff left notes for me when I was asleep during the food service, and that I could still get my meal."
Cons: "The plane left pretty late. My TV screen stopped working about thirty minutes into the flight. It was difficult to select vegetarian options (actually, I never managed to do this successfully)."
Cons: "My luggage was not on the plane when I landed in destination even though I was at the airport at 5 in the morning and I didn't fly out at 8 at night... they went through my luggage taking all my brand new zippo lighter that was not even used yet stating that they had fuel in them which they confascated in China. There was no help where to go when you landed in Beijing. Didn't get my luggage til 3 days later delaying my travel"
