It was a smooth, uneventful ride. The staff was very friendly. The overhead compartments were a little small for my hiking style backpack, but I made it work.
Pros: "Even during a delay the crew remained professional. There was something wrong with the plan and I appreciate that safety was the main priority."
Cons: "My 1 hour layover turned into a four hours past 2am arrival."

Cons: "I was really surprised that there was a gate change that made the flight depart from a whole different part of the airport. I was sitting right there and didn't notice it but thankfully I had enough time to get to the different gate."
Cons: "Things are getting smaller, we're paying more for less and less; it's all reducing except the cost. Generally flying is no longer 'special' it's kind of routine, like cattle herding--and the customer is the cattle."

Cons: "Charlotte airport needs to stop taking the protective cover off of my suitcase and I don’t get it back, this is the 2nd time that this has happened in Charlotte and it keeps costing me money to buy new covers and my suitcase becomes more damaged because they treat other’s belongings with no respect."

Cons: "We lost the conection because pre departure there swas an issue with one of the wings of the plane and took about 30 min. Afterwards after landing the plan had to wait another 15 minutes waiting for the gate. American Airlines atributed the issue to weather conditions in Vancouver, false."

Waited 20 min only to hear a bunch of lies about how they asked the flight attendant to look but she couldn’t find it - should have just walked back on plane to do it myself. Was told to “go online” and file a lost and found report. This is a small airport - TRI cities TN - absolutely zero customer focus by and American Airline employee - and I asked to sp all with a supervisor and manager with the hope I would get my phone back. Worst service and zero caring attitude I’ve dealt with - and I fly a lot. It will be Delta from here on out. I went on line and filed a complaint and lost and found report - am betting a large amount of money I hear nothing other than an automated reply."

Cons: "The plane had no power outlets and spotty WiFi. Even though they knew we were late to Charlotte, they let our connection take off EXACTLY on time while dozens of us rand through the airport. AA does this to themselves, they are the worst!"

Pros: "Original depart for London was 3:15, but when I called from Praque and my friend called from NY we were both told that depart from London is 2:15 and arrival is at 5 instead at 6. It was a mess!"
Cons: "Original depart from London was at 3:15 and arrival in NY was at 6pm. But when my friend called from NY about the arrival he was told that the plane will arrive at 5. I was told the same when I called from Praque. I have to stress that we mentioned the right flight #. When I came to the gate (exhausted) we departed after 3pm as originally scheduled. It was a mess! Otherwise the service was good."

Cons: "Seeing as this flight was cancelled and we had to wait as two elderly people until 3pm the next day to get another flight and American Airlines would not compensate in anyway. I would say that we will never fly American Airlines again nor will my family. This was not the only delay or cancellation because of American either. We spent 48 hours traveling because of delays and cancellations and still American would do nothing for us. I'm 66 and my husband is 72 (who also has had back surgery for five slipped discs) and we had to sleep on concrete floors and had very limited money to buy food. It was by far the worst experience of my life and I would encourage everyone to not travel with them."

Cons: "American Airlines transfers at MAN are horrible. First take a bus, which comes whenever it wants, the bus driver doesn't tell you what terminal you're at, just tells you to get off. Go through security is ok. Wait some more... Get to the AA transfer counter and wait for another hour for some one to show up to print your boarding pass... Waited another hour in the plane because MAN couldn't handle baggage transfers. Crew was very rude. I will never fly another AA int'l flight. Skipped over me for food even though my tray table was down I was playing a game on my phone... Horrible service, flight attendant seemed to be in a bad mood slamming overhead compartments and trash as he picked it up. I'd fly just about any other carrier just not AA."
