Cons: "I booked through kayak and received an e-mail saying "you're booked!" with a flight itinerary and everything and then I got to the airport and they told me I had no ticket to get on the flight and no payment had ever been made and that to get on the flight I would have to pay over $1000 for a seat !!!! The original ticket I bought was under $400. I was NOT happy with this at all - Kayak screwed me over and I expect compensation."

So I had to purchase a one way, First Class ticket from Dallas to Tampa so that I could get home before the hurricane hit. However, the flight from Dallas to Tampa via Atlanta was excellent in all the above. Now, I have to figure out how to get credit for the unused portion of the DFW-ATL-SRQ! Any suggestions? FR. Cons: "Flight was booked via Princess for a cruise. Flight from Vacoouver to LAX was through Delta partner Westjet. One schedule number and flight number for Delta, a different set of numbers for Westjet. Westjet requires you call them for seat assignment for a fee. Just not smooth!"

Cons: "The flight was delayed for 2 1/2 hours which meant that it didn't arrive in Toronto until 2:40am, this made it difficult for being picked up. I wasn't aware that this was a basic ticket (I bought it through 3rd party website) which meant that I couldn't prebook my seat. After checkin online and paying for the seat it also meant that the seat couldn't be changed even though there were several available seats. There were no entertainment centres at each seat which was also a real surprise. I didn't have the Westjet app therefore I couldn't have access to the movies as I didn't want to have to pay for internet."

Delayed by 30 minutes....then the crew preboarded a sick lady and her travel companion. At some point crew decided she should not fly to LA, but the ladies wouldn’t get off plane! 45 minutes later and 4 RCMP show up to escort them off plane. Then we didn’t have any ground crew to get us off loading ramp. Finally got away 90 minutes or more after scheduled departure. Circled LA a few times before getting to land.... long flight with long delays!"

Cons: "Where to start. Booked a higher priced ticket as layover was minimal. Westjet later emails, saying layover is now 7 hours?!?! We booked a connector with air canada with only a 2hr layover. We decided to keep the checked bags on the Westjet later connector to be less hassle. Westjet agents at airport did not mention that you cannot do that. So it wasn’t until we arrived at the layover point, we were told we had to pull the bags and re-check them in with Air Canada, go through the whole rigamarile of checkin, baggage check, and security. Not something you want to deal with when you are at the tail end of a red-eye flight. So thumbs down. In Westjet’s defense, they did give me a 200 dollar credit toward a future flight when I kicked up a fuss about the change to a 7-hour layover."

Cons: "Airlines don't have small tv's to watch and give out cheap snacks. Flairaire is so cheap you even have to buy your beverage unless it's a glass of water. Wasn't overly impressed with this airline. Also getting your itenairy online was also difficult. I had to change email information and call customer service which was in Spanish not English language. Then while lining up at the airport to process and check bags there was no computer to self serve and get through the line up faster and efficiently. The main clerk that helps with the line up was rude to passengers. Stating that on a domestic flight you need to be 2 hours ahead of boarding. Which most of us were a good 90 minutes to pre boarding. All of the struggles can be avoided with self serve check-in and prepaid bag check. The flight and crew were friendly and pleasant."

Cons: "Seats were rock hard. Less leg space, price of bags to high, too many people bring on over-sized carry on taking up all the overhead bins. No entertainment options for flight"

Cons: "We sat on the tarmac in the plane for 4 hours when 20 minutes into the delay the flight attendants knew they weren't going to be able to fly with us, and instead of cancelling the flight 20 minutes into the delay we sat on the plane for 4 hours while the crew knew we were not going to take off. There were a handful of infants and children (my 10 month old nephew included) and for the crew to keep the passengers on the plane for 4 hours when they knew the flight was going to be cancelled is unacceptable."

Cons: "Was told need to fix my ticket from Bangkok. So after waiting over an hour to get ticket fixed, found out didn't need to. Then a rush through security . Lucky Westjet flight delayed (usual) And made flight by running to gate. Then get to sit on plane for an hour. AGAIN. Two flights on Westjet and two delayed and two sat in the plane an hour. First time missed my connecting to Hong Kong and Bangkok. I know nothing perfect, but this seems to be the norm. Next time will try to find someone else to fly with."

Cons: "To start.. due to your company combining two out going Toronto flights in Vancouver and then being late off the ground in Vancouver because if that we missed our connecting flight in Toronto to Ottawa. This in turn made us miss a very important appointment in Ottawa. I’m sure the company loves that they saved money by combining those flights however you flunked the test with me. All the corporate could care less about me missing my flight after they look at the bottom line but I will be taking my $1600 plus money elsewhere in the future because of the aggravation, frustration and I don’t care attitude that your company has provided me. I’ll I want to do is get back to Vancouver in my return flight hopefully put most likely on time with my two girls and forget that your company does exists. Thanks for the headaches and goodbye.."

Pros: "Some of the people who helped with wheelchair assistance for my dad were kind."
Cons: "1. I previously asked for wheelchair assistance for my father and when we dropped off our bags the agent said she would get someone and told us to sit in the waiting area. After five minutes no one came so I went to the assistance desk and they said they hadn't been informed so they sent someone right away. If I hadn't been there to ask, I don't know how long my mom and dad would have sat there. 2. The man who wheeled my dad to the gate was very nice and he said he arranged for all of us to sit together, which was nice because I wasn't able to sit with my parents since we weren't able to choose the same row when we booked. When we boarded, we found out that the seats hadn't been changed, and the person who previously booked the seat beside my parents refused to move so I sat in the row beside them. These problems were minor but they highlighted a lack of communication between staff and the attendant dealing with us wasn't the most friendly either. I used to fly westjet in the early days when I still lived in Canada and I've noticed that the level of service has gone down. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity and space to comment. Cons: "I traveled from Vancouver to Edmonton today on WS 320 and one of my luggage was delayed. I had to wait through many phone call queues to get in contact with an agent and none of them were very useful. I was informed that my baggage would arrive in Edmonton at 5pm and be contacted to arrange delivery options but I had not heard anything from them and it is already past 8pm. I had to stay at home to wait for the phone call which resulted me in canceling my evening plans. The luggage contains frozen home made goods and various food items I brought back from my recent trip to Taiwan. With the food not being in a freezer for over 12 hours at this point they've likely all gone bad. I am extremely displeased with the bagging service especially when I had PAID to get my bags checked. I was told that packing food in checked bags comes with a risk and is a game but everything in life is a risk and I find that excuse from an agent very unacceptable. I am also very upset that WestJet does not offer compensation for food damages because the foods in my luggage are definitely worth over $200 and some are not obtainable in Canada."

No amount of asking nicely will get you any action at all. Six hour flights and you get a coffee and cookie. Flight stewardess makes you wait in the aisle behind row 3 for the bathroom - sure, just stand there and tower over some other poor traveller, don't stand right next to me - I'm a flight stewardess for goodness sakes! Having flown professionally, and for business and leisure for over 40 years I offer this advice - pick another airline - these guys do not deserve to be in the business."

If you live here--Lucky You! You are almost home! And if you don't live here, welcome to the Okanagan! We hope you enjoy your stay." I was only disappointed that the sentence including 'lucky you' was not included in the French translation. C'est d'hommage..."

Cons: "West Jet personnel did not give any information about the customs process for connecting flights that I would face in Vancouver or the requirement to go through another security check between West Jet flights. I was told that I should simply go to the next gate to board the plane for Los Angeles -- and that I would do customs in the USA - so the info person sent me to retrieve my luggage (wrong info) and I ended with a 45 minutes anxious trek through the Vancouver airport! Once I found my gate, the West Jet personnel could not have been more kind."

Pros: "I had never heard of WestJet and only booked the flight because it was the least expensive ticket I could find. I was shocked when I was given my boarding pass because I got a first class seat. A comfortable seat is such a blessing on an overnight flight because you can sleep fairly comfortably. Also, the food and especially the wine were excellent. The flight attendants were very courteous and helpful. I would recommend WestJet to anyone."

Cons: "Miami crew from checkin to boarding were rude, demeaning and unhelpful in this extreme situation. Really rude, particularly the gate boarding pass girl. Haven't you learned your lesson about being rude to passengers yet? I won't be choosing AA again. Your loss, I fly a lot."

Cons: "Things are getting smaller, we're paying more for less and less; it's all reducing except the cost. Generally flying is no longer 'special' it's kind of routine, like cattle herding--and the customer is the cattle."

Cons: "We lost the conection because pre departure there swas an issue with one of the wings of the plane and took about 30 min. Afterwards after landing the plan had to wait another 15 minutes waiting for the gate. American Airlines atributed the issue to weather conditions in Vancouver, false."

Cons: "As a handicaped disabled not able to walk and should be using a wheel chair,as I know from my many previous travels with other companies like lufthanza, klm..etc, I used to be the first traveller to go to the air craft when loading it to take off and the last one who would be leaving it after landing. Even when going through the check and security points I used to go in a special route especially for the handicaped but going with all other normal travelers lines with such amount of time waiting and crowdness is completely inconvenient. what happened through the trip was quit different , going with the travelers or after when they are boarding the craft make it very hard and time consuming , Wish you take care of it, as it's a very important handicaped service. Pros: "I think crew tried to make the best of the bad situation. Got to Atlanta faster than scheduled flight time and they were sympathetic. Don't really know about much else, as I slept the whole flight."
Cons: "The 3 hour delay really cost us. Left Rome at 2:30 pm instead of 11:30 am, so missed 6:40 pm flight to Atlanta (so much for the 3 1/2 hour layover we were supposed to have). When we landed in Philadelphia, sat on runway for 45 minutes, waiting for gate. Next flight was supposed to leave at 8:40, took off at midnight."

Waited 20 min only to hear a bunch of lies about how they asked the flight attendant to look but she couldn’t find it - should have just walked back on plane to do it myself. Was told to “go online” and file a lost and found report. This is a small airport - TRI cities TN - absolutely zero customer focus by and American Airline employee - and I asked to sp all with a supervisor and manager with the hope I would get my phone back. Worst service and zero caring attitude I’ve dealt with - and I fly a lot. It will be Delta from here on out. I went on line and filed a complaint and lost and found report - am betting a large amount of money I hear nothing other than an automated reply."

Pros: "Boarding was fast and efficient."
Cons: "Takeoff delayed 1 hr entertainment system in my seat didn't work asked crew 2x to assist and they ignored me food was poor, I'd rather have a cookie and a bag of almonds"

Pros: "The crew were amazing! The flight was smooth"
Cons: "I was on row 24 and my seat did not recline and the person in front of me seemed to recline more than anyone else did. Could not Get comfortable"

Pros: "Good entertainment and cabin crew was helpful and friendly"
Cons: "The ground crew was awful. After sizing my carry on and getting permission for my bag to go onboard I was stopped at the gate before boarding, the bag was re-sized and they made me check it in. I was very frustrated w their attitudes and overly rigid enforcement of the rules. In addition the boarding process was very confusing and unorganized. I don’t want to fly American ever again."

Pros: "Boarding staff helped me change to a seat that was suited better for my child and I- I was SO grateful. During the flight, flight staff made sure my child was happy/comfortable which meant a lot to me."
Cons: "The normal things- better cushioned seats with some lumbar for those of us with back/nerve issues; a little wider seat options in economy for heavier people or those with lap infants; Honestly I’m reaching because I was just really happy with my flight/plane/crew service."

Cons: "Flight was over sold and announcements about it at the gate had a threatening tone."

Cons: "I was supposed to dj in dallas at 12am got a flight in at 7pm but with mechanical problems flight was delayed to a 2:20am landing which I missed my job. I paid for a flight I didn't use and lost 1300.00 usd 0 out of 10 for AA"

Pros: "I enjoyed the customer service provided by the flight attended. They were extremely attentive and welcoming. I've never flown American Airlines before and glad I had the opportunity to experience it."
Cons: "I've flown on other airlines to Europe before and it felt spacious when compared to American Airlines. I didn't like the accebility to buying snacks, drinks and other food throughout the flight. Flying for 10 hour is draining and the only entertainment be controlled by what the captain provides on the screen isn't comfortable. I may fly American Airlines for domestic flights but I'll surely use another company or longer flights to Europe."

Cons: "I bought first/business class ticket for my wife & myself. The sitting was comparable to premium coach level, my overhead bin was occupied by someone else. Food service was acceptable. I am medium built, the lavatory was very tight I felt sorry for larger than my self."

Cons: "These seats and spaces are incredibly small, my body is so sore! Also the internet costs money? I've travelled with other airlines that include Wi-Fi for free"

Cons: "They might as well have thrown us in a car trunk the crew was very unaccommodating they didn't really care about us and the room legroom is ridiculously smal. On the connecting flight, the last flight the plane was two thirds empty and the crew made us sit in our assigned seats, crammed together telling us that if we want to sit in a seat with more legroom we have to pay $180"

Cons: "That when I explained being hearing impaired the boarding attendant said my carry on needed to be checked. I didn't understand her and proceeded to the loading blank. Then when boarding the attendant informed me. I explained I checked my bag in the airport compartment tester and it was fine. I also asked the attendant at the counter. She confirmed it was fine. Still smiling until the snack pretzels were passed out. When I didn't hear the attendant's question, in spite of telling her I was hearing impaired, she threw her hand up rudely and just continued on to other customers. When boarding I watched orhers board with the same size bag as mine, and wondered if telling someone you can't hear gives them the right to inform you at the gate that your bag needs to be checked?"

Cons: "I don't understand why you don't load from the back of the plane first, it just makes more sense."

Cons: "I am young but I am in heart failure and have an artificial heart. I had requested wheelchair service so I didn't overexert myself at the airport and was wheeled right up to the gate. There were two other older passengers in wheelchairs, one on either side of me. When it came time to pre-board flight attendants came up to both men and helped them on board. They ignored me. Then they announced regular boarding. I had to remove my bags from my lap and get up out of the chair and go to the gate to say I needed to preboard. The man looked annoyd and said they had announced it. When I explained how no one came to me but they did the others he said I could go now. I said I needed help with my bags and he acted VERY surly and put out. He did help me but I felt like they assumed because I was young I couldn't possibly be sick and treated me like a liar."

Cons: "I arrived at YVR to check in for my flight at 4 pm. I was told they couldn't find me In the system anywhere and when they finally did find me they told me they had booked my seat onto another flight that didn't leave u til 6 pm and I would arrive home in San Diego at 10:40 pm. They refused to check my luggage because they said I had arrived too early. I wasn't too early for my originally scheduled flight! I now had to sit in the airport for 5 hours. I had to call home, arrange a sitter for my children whom I was suppose to see at 8:55 pm. They said there was nothing they could do about it."

Cons: "Please start charging obese customers more money for their tickets. Seat I was in had me squished because the other passenger was so big. Its not fair that I have to give up half of my seat."

Pros: "It had been years since we last flew UNITED. Honestly, we were a bit apprehensive after learning of friends' negative experiences but we moved forward with our plan. The flight was smooth, and ahead of schedule and the crew was totally on top of their game. SPOT ON!"
Cons: "If I would make ANY suggestion, it would be to load people from the back of the plane to expedite loading. Your current 'zone' approach results in lots of waiting for passengers lo sitting in the back....as the front passenger's mess around, trying to get themselves situated...CLUELESS that there are a hundred others WAITING in the aisle, as they tussle with their sweaters, purses, tech equipment, etc. (if you get my gist!). Just something to consider....."

Cons: "awful handling of the flight delay with lack of info and updates. We were told we were boarding in twenty minutes for four hours."

Pros: "Great flight with no issues or any problems. Flight on time, luggage transfer was fine, crew pleasant and helpful. Smooth sailing."

Cons: "Constant 5 - 30 minute email updates stating flight delay. The delayed started at 30 minutes and ended in being 3 hours. The stated reason changed just as frequently."

Cons: "I don't even know where to begin. Horrible flight with two obnoxious dunk clowns that kept this red eye flight awake. Because they were loud and obnoxious they got all the service on the flight. The way they acted, very inappropriately to another passenger, and sneaking booze from their carry on-Wished there was an air marshal on the flight. Won't be flying United again."

Pros: "The plane was clean, left on time and arrived early. Expecting that there were too many carry on bags, they offered to check some bags at the gate for no additional cost."
Cons: "The snacks were a waste of time. The charge for the entertainment system is based on the published flying time but since those are overstated to improve on time performance, the entertainment charge was excessive."

Cons: "I was in the very back seat, and the lady in front of me had her seat leaned back the entire time. I had no room, and was extremely uncomfortable"

Cons: "The fiesta packet of food is terrible, the coffee creamer was curdled in 3 different cups that I tried"

The flight was pleasant, however I could not give an excellent rating. To give an excellent rating would meant his flight or airline stood out above all others."
