In flight the crew were barely visible as I had to ask for refreshments and then they brought it around for everyone. Next was cleanup which took way longer before it showed up."
Pros: "This was my first time flying Air Canada. Our flight was delayed by 4 hours because they had to deice the plane. Yes it was frustrating but I would much rather have a flight of upset passengers then risking our lives. The captains and the crew went out of their way to make sure that we were the most comfortable. They gave us food and drinks as we waited and were extremely patient. Upon arrival many passengers had missed their connecting flights, including myself. They put us on the next flight out and gave all passengers a hotel and meals for the night. I would definitely recommend Air Canada. The plane itself is also pretty spacious so don’t be afraid to fly economy."
Cons: "Nothing really. They were great. I mean, definitely wished my flight wasn’t delayed. Although It wasn’t their fault that they needed to deice the plane, that’s something that should’ve been accounted for way before our flight was supposed to take off."

Pros: "Many airlines have code share flights but it is better to buy ticket directly from the original airline as they keep on ignoring the code share flight bookings"
Cons: "Till last moment we were kept hanging if we will board or not as no seat number was allocated. I believe it was as we were from the code share airline not the real one"

At the time of writing this, I haven't heard anything back from Air Canada on how they plan to reimburse me for the food, and travel to and from the to and from the Airport. Don't fly Air Canada! Hitch hike, it's more dependable than that trash airline"

Cons: "One flight attendant was rather unpleasant. When she asked my husband what he wanted to drink he asked "Can I have coffee?" Her repsonse was a firm "No.' Confused, he repeated the question and she again responded with "no." I had to ask her, "Are you not serving hot drinks on this flight?" I'm always shocked by this kind of behavior in some flight attendants. Why didn't she just say, "I'm sorry. We aren't serving hot drinks now"?"

Cons: "Air Canada overbooks their flights. So if you don't pay extra for your seat, (even if you get to the airport 3 hours in advance), they'll just tell you sorry you are on standby. Which means I literally had to stand by the gate and hope for other people to not show so I could take their seat."

Paramedics boarded the plane when we landed, I assume it's nothing serious but would be nice to hear from air Canada to confirm. Other than this unfortunate event ... everything was great starting with the staff at the ticket counter."

Cons: "we pre booked seats at #14 because our daughter cannot walk without help, we took her to and from the plane by wheelchair to make it easier, they bumped us to seat # 32 , the very last one, that is a long walk, at check in the woman there was rude when we told her of our situation and that we had seats, she said there was nothing she could do because the plane was full, she was not very helpful at all, and asked if we wanted to take another plane. Our whole family has been traveling with air Canada, but I think it's time for a change. Very disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Cons: "The check in counter was a mess. Though we had checked in online, it still took forever to check in at the counter as the machines could not print out the bag tags, then there was another line up for dropping off the bags. Those machines also could not read foreign passports though Canadian ones were fine. So we had to wait for our friends who were from overseas. The stewardess doing the announcements went so fast you could not hear her except for a few words, and she had a very strong French accent so it sounded like she was speaking in French all the time. But at least she was better than the pilot, whom we could not hear at all. The only word we heard was "cloudy"."

Cons: "Cabin was hot, the passenger air controls did nothing to cool us, the staff kept the cabin lights on full, so it was difficult to nap or watch the movies/tv....the sound quality of the movie/tv is awful. My travel companion became ill during the flight (nausea, minor seizure, dizziness, hot, etc...), she did not consume any alcohol...she is 57, not old by any means ."sick bags" were not in the seat pocket, the crew barely got her one in time.....they did have her sit in the back of the plane, where it was cooler. It might have been a good idea to give her oxygen...upon landing, we were told that there would be a wheelchair at the gate (never appeared), and while we were waiting for it, the crew ignored us, only concerning themselves with the location of the nearest Starbucks in the terminal, then left us with a staff member who had no idea about the wheelchair, didn't give us any sort of ice pack. ....we finally just gave up and slowly and carefully walked to baggage claim"

Cons: "My flight, 370 was canceled. Initially, one of the AC staff at customer service was overwhelmed and impatient. The next flight was delayed by about seven hours. My baggage didn't arrive in Toronto. I found it extremely difficult to learn where the baggage could be, spent hours on hold with Air Canada and then Dynamex, and waited four days to receive my bag. I was with about 100 people at a summer camp. The staff created a funny skit about AC, Dynamex (sp?) and the endless "your call is important to us" tape recording. I understand that flight plans must be canceled and changed due to weather, but AC relies too heavily on automated "service.""
Pros: "Aircraft was very comfortable and up to date"
Cons: "Both dinner and breakfast were so bad as to be a joke. Tasteless chicken on pasta with a miserable little salad for dinner. Breakfast far worse, the 'continental breakfast' being a slice of banana loaf or something similar in plastic film and a pathetically small yoghurt. Crew didn't even serve pour row coffee or tea, totally overlooked us. My next flight was with SAA to Johannesburg - infinitely better food and attitude. Not that I expect this eeview to make any imnpression on Air Canada. THey are beyond help and frankly I don't care as I won't fly with them again."

Pros: "Great Pilots The pilots were great! The weather was not optimal, but they did a great job of making us as comfortable as possible."
Cons: "Better Quality Food Needed The salted plate served was sub-standard. Also, it was full of salt and poses health risk for many people. In the past, better food was served including a pot pie. Also, the staff should be more aware of the wines to be served. And there is not enough attention paid to service in the executive cabin as the attendant runs back and forth between both cabins."
Cons: "I paid extra for seats with my Spouse and we didn't get them the plane was delayed one hour when we got to Toronto we had to wait for other plane to finally get unstuck from the ramp no impressed considering it was my first flight with air canada I usually take west jet and after that I know why"

Pros: "Wonderful service! Everyone on the plane was very helpful and polite. There was a lot of room in between seats. The bathrooms were very neat and clean. I ordered a healthy meal (of which I never have done this before) and it was very tasty. That was a nice option, to have something light and healthy. My husband had the regular option and also commented on how it was very good (for airplane food). Only thing he didn't like was the light lunch that was a heated up wrap. At that point, we were almost home and it didn't matter. Nice flight! We will be back!"

Pros: "I had a wonderful experience with the crew on broad. The pilot was amazing. The cabin Attendent in first class was very lovely and sweet. She was the reason for my nice experience since I had a horrible time with the gate staff."
Cons: "I had a horrible time with the gate staff. They made me check my bag at the gate even though it fits in the overhead bin. I did three flight with air canada prior to this flight with the same carryon. I didn't appreciate the ladies attitude. She said I don't care who or what class you fly so took my roller and tagged it. Then she let the guy next to me get on with his bigger roller only because he was first class. I had to upgrade myself to first class to keep my roller on me. I had things that I couldn't part from my carry on. Cost me $500 US dollar and then she said to me. What ever thrills you. Wow. I am star alliance gold with two airlines and I have never ever been treated this way ever. I will never take air canada ever again. The 1800 customer service isn't any better."
