When I landed in Panama there were no United representatives to issue me my boarding pass. For the next 14 hours I went up and down the airport to find help. When I finally went to the designated gate the Hnited representative told me this miscommunication happens all the time between Copa and United and there is nothing she can do. This is bad business and the customers have to suffer the consequences. I won't use this flight route again."

Even on connecting flight there was meal. -Modern entertainment (Touchscreen back of chair) with latest movies etc. -Service was on par. -All flights I got amazing seating (3/4 flights had an empty seat next to me.) Again, I was flying alone but there booking is up to date so I got lucky I didnt get thrown into the middle of two strangers since I didnt choose seats. -Overall a great experience, especially for the price."

I am from united states and I don't know speak in spanish, that was a totally lack of respect for the people who work in Copa. The flight attendant inside the plane didn't speak english, her treated was the worst! She asked me to change my seat, I was sitting in an emergency seat and she decided to put there an old woman who had 65 years old approximately instead of me that I am 35 years old and the only problem is that I don't speak spanish!!! Then she offered me something to eat talking to me in spanish and knowing that I don't understand that language. I felt humillate because at the end of the flight she said in english "Have a nice day Sir"???!!!!! It supposed that she didn't know english, so I felt that she was playing. It was my first time flying with Copa Airlines and I had the worst experience ever travelling with them!"
Cons: "Boarding gate/room was extremely small for the number of passengers taking flight 302 from PTY to LAX. The room is encased by glass walls, once you enter this room you are not able to leave and return to the room due to security. The only choice left was to stay in an air conditioning deprived room (88 degree aoutside) without chairs or a spot on the floor to sit, all the chairs and the floor were taken. It was very hard to patiently wait for the boarding call while standing up and drenching."

Pros: "It was my first time with COPA. I went to Buenos Aires with them (Montréal»Panama City and Panama City»BA). Aircrafts were much nicer and newer for the Panama»BA portion. The boarding was on-time and the staff was very nice. Considering the price I paid, the food was totally acceptable. Also, they automatically made my check-in for me and my son the day before our departure (returning back to Montréal) which was a pleasant surprise! I do recommend COPA for a good price/service ratio."

2 hrs delayed

I received a notification around midnight that the flight would be delayed from 8am to 1pm. Certainly the delay would allow only a narrow margin to make any connecting flights. Naturally, the process of loading the plane and some "communication error" resulted in additional delays. As a result, the rebooking offered by American Airlines included a flight to LAX, landing at 1230 am followed by a 6 hour layover. I can expect arrival at home at 0800, shortly before my work shift begins. I purchased the tickets with an expect arrival time as 830 pm the same day. A 12 hour swing is simply beyond the pale of reasonable delays.

Cons: "the 2 stewardesses disappeared as soon as the flight was in the air. i upgraded to business class in what was a huge waste of money. the fact that they do not make alcohol available in business class is pure laziness, and these people are loving it. keep in mind that you can have water juice and pop. i was given the water i asked for after take off, and then she promptly disappeared for the entire 3 hours. she only returned when i pushed the call button. not good."

I completed their online form detailing the problem and asked if there is any way I could buy extra leg room seats. But they never even bothered to respond. I got the automated email acknowledging receipt of my complaint and assuring me I would be contacted soon. NOT!!"

Cons: "Our plane departed on time, 6:05 AM. About 6:40 A E turned back towards Boston. There was a problem with the wing. It got repaired. We deplaned. And waited. And waited. Then we needed fuel to be removed. And we waited. And waited. Then we got back on board, got to the runway, and the RIGHT ENGINE didn't start. So they tried to repair it, couldn't (didn't want to fly on that old, broken plane anyway at this point), and we had our flight canceled. All told, I spent 10+ hours at Logan Airport. It was an absolute disaster."

Long story short we were late by about just an hour. The Spanish speaking woman that pushed my wheelchair told me that I can bring my water bottles full of water through the metal detectors. I asked if she could take me somewhere to pour them out and refill them on the other side. They threw them away at the metal detector. So I had to buy a new bottle for my medicine that I have to take. You would think she would have got it by me carrying these bottles around but nope. She actually said to me that I can give her gratuity now if I wanted. I gave her $1. She then replied in a sarcastic voice " Thankyou you are soooo generous. I don't like feeling obligated to tip somebody because I am disabled and have a bullet in my head."

I get that she probably has to do that a lot, but I spent money to use United and she shouldn't have responded a rude attitude or rolled her eyes. She has a job to do like everyone else."

Cons: "United destroyed my luggage and wouldn't pay for their mistake. I checked in the second I could (exactly 24 hours before the flight), and I was still put in boarding group 5. Because I was in boarding group 5, I had to check my back, which would have been carried on, and was subsequently destroyed by United baggage handlers. To try and rectify and complain about the luggage problem, I called United and they were completely unhelpful. Finally, the first flight was delayed and moved to a different plane, that was a total nightmare!"

The carry on was a regular backpack and almost didn't fit in the tiny space available for us. Also when we were on the plane the seats were made out of legitimate plastic and hurt my back on the 3 hour plane ride, and the space between seats was so cramped my legs were pushing up against the seat in front of me and I'm only 5'10" so that's going to be hard for your 6'0" and higher people. Also the plane lost my $800 snowboard and sent it to denver instead of Birmingham the kiosk service person has one job it's not that hard to stick on "Birmingham" on the label. I think I deserve a refund for this flight."
Pros: "Movies were ok."
Cons: "Openly rude, almost argumentative staff. I was afraid to talk back because the last thing I want is any accusation of bad behavior on an airplane. But if this were a restaurant, the customers would get up and leave without eating. I've never had this experience on China Airlines or Japan Air. I will never use UA again."
Cons: "For starters...um ranch pretzel snacks? Weirdest snack ever and so tiny it was ridiculous. It took about an hour after take off to get the snack, and almost another full hour to get the drink. Too slow!! The seats are very cramped compared to jet blue. I paid a lot of money for direct TV thinking I could start a movie from the start. You can't, and there wasn't a thing on TV that I wanted to watch. On other flights for the same amount of money you can buy a premium current movie. Or you can fly JetBlue and get the TV free. One of the flight attendants, bless him, was mentally challenged, and I mean literally. He was sweet and it's nice he has a job, but he didn't know what I was talking about when I asked him if I was on a flight that had an onboard library of movies once you connected to the airplane wifi. It was frustrating trying to talk to him. I had onboard a purse to stow under my seat, and another purse, that was brand new that I needed to stow overhead. I asked another flight attendant to help me stow it overhead where it wouldn't get crushed. She showed me a spot where it was pretty much getting crushed. Since it was new, it would have been really nice if she put it in the nice closet that is usually up front on planes. I've been flying my whole life and once or twice I've been accommodated with the nice closet. That's all folks!"
