Reservation personnel took logical course of action to find new flight for connection that we could make because of delayed initial flight. I would recommend that they first see if there is an earlier initial flight that the customer could make, then look at finding later connecting flights. We found out about delay 8 hours prior, so we had plenty of time to get to the airport earlier. Total delay required me to take additional day off of work."

Then for passengers with short connection times, they should NEVER be seated in the rear of the plane when it takes 20-30 minutes for the rear-seated passengers. Not very consumer-oriented."

Cons: "I have travel with WestJet many times is the past and had nothing but good to say. This was my first time using WestJet Encore and was totally shocked and disappointed. The flight crew i found to be very rude with and had an attitude. The biggest shock was the greetings and all announcements were in English accept the safety rules where the pre-recorded tape was played. If asked about the return flight from Halifax to Montreal, one word to describe it "disaster". I was totally turned off with WestJet. I will for sure continue using Porter as I was always pleased with there service. As they say "you get what you pay for"."

He’s 7lbs, so he can’t be much smaller a dog, and his carrier it turns out, doesn’t fit under WestJet seats, despite being within carry-on luggage dimension limits (their life jackets take up most of the legroom), and thus could not be any bigger. Did they want me to have a smaller dog, or a Euclidean space-defying carrier? I suppose they were suggesting that taking a dog aboard WestJet is abusive, because they certainly don’t provide adequate space for anything larger than a hamster, they hassle you about it, and they charge you $50 for the fun of it. One agent had the nerve to reach into his carrier without permission, unannounced, and invade his personal space, him being a rescue and very anxious."

So after calling, I got my ticket rebooked for an earlier flight, but I couldn’t do the same for my boyfriend’s. At the airport we requested he check in as standby, however, the rep checking us in said he couldn’t. We asked for other flights arriving on the same day at the original ticket & even looking across partner airlines, he said there was nothing. Hard to believe, but then eventually said he found something by way of Lax to AZ to MIA & then KIN that would arrive later that night. We quickly took it because it was getting late to check in for TSA for my flight, only to find out later that the ticket he printed was for arrival the next night - not at all what we agreed upon! What a waste of time, as if the money we spent on this vacation didn’t mean anything, and when I called to get compensated, I was told to write in to AA. Write in. It’s 2018. Who can I speak with to get compensated for our time & money being wasted? I understand it may not have been within AA control, however, I would have liked for them to have cared that we were inconvenienced as paying customers, instead of being told, in action & in words, that the inconvenience we were being put through (to no fault of our own) was no big deal & we should just suck up the money we are loosing as a result. Very disappointed ☹️"

Cons: "Boarding could be improved if they would start boarding from the back of the plane to the front after boarding 1st class and Priority this way people would not block the passage when putting their luggage in the top compartments. The crew was not very helpful because I almost went into a hypothermia condition because the air in the cabin was extremely cold. When I ask for a blanket one of the stewardesses said that AA would no longer have blankets in flight which I prove it wrong when I saw in the flight Mai-SDQ blanquets all over the cabin. The soliton they gave me was that they would ask the crew to raise the temp in the cabin, I had to make the request three times and I had to tell the stewardess that if not raising the temperature in the cabin I could have gone into an emergency hypothermia crisis. I had to take another shirt from my carry-on to put it over my shirt to warm me up."

Pros: "Considering the price we paid for our tickets is the the only drawback I keep coming back to when I think about the VALUE of what I paid for.the entire flight. The overall experience was good throughout; from the airport on both ends of the journey to the actual inflight experience. I'm not sure how much of an influence the airline has on the airport part of it all, but the check-in process was good. The self check-in machines for AA were a little "buggy" and difficult to navigate but helpful staff was readily available as were the short lines. I am 6'2" and was impressed that I had adequate leg room in my seat."

Cons: "They didnt say any information to the passengers who had connecting flights. No one us that all passengers with connecting flight need to check out their luggages and check it in again. Now my luggage is lost.."

Cons: "It was a 787 but any or all room was taken into cramming more seats. Food was the worse I've ever had on a long distance flight. Bland and despicable. This is the worse international flight as far as room or food. Requested for an exit row seat but was told it was an additional $125 charge. Really that's how Air Canada is getting business by giving customers a very poor experience. A group of four us traveled on this trip and we had the same consensus and won't be recommending Air Canada."

Pros: "Riws nuch too close together. There should be a notice in the boarding area for passengers to download app so they can access on board movies. Or even better this should be included with ticket."

Cons: "This was a terrible flight. We were delayed and rerouted to Toronto but not given enough information. We spent an average for an hour waiting for take off each time."

Pros: "Basically the same budget airline, BUT unlike a previous Germanwings experience, on time, no boarding issues, great crew. This was connecting flight with Air Canada. This time around seating was in the roomier front section which was infinitely better than the "cheap seats" near the back."

Cons: "Flight was delayed both lengths. We have been offered one cup of water and no other drinks on 8 hours flight from Toronto to Budapest! There were no flight attendants asking us if we need anything. We had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes at Budapest airport for our luggage."

Cons: "One of the crew members seemed a bit out of sorts, didn't smile much and was curt with another passenger when she was asked to take his garbage."

Cons: "Seated beside a young child with behavioral problems. Father mostly slept. Child stood on seat and jumped up and down, crawled under seats, threw ipad on my foot repeatedly, spilled his drink all over himself and his seat, screamed whenever his seat belt had to go on or his table top couldn't be down. At one point, the dad lost his temper, swore at the child, and covered him with a blanket in a big screaming match before doing up his seat belt--I was afraid he had smothered him but it had the effect of calming him down. No attendant even tried to intervene apart from asking "can I see your kid's boarding pass?" People should have to disclose when they are travelling with a child with severe behavioural problems and attendants should rescue anyone forced to sit beside one or at least make the parent care for the child. Also, a minimum of crackers or pretzels would be nice with drink on 5-hour flight. The entertainment system wasn't operating correctly and kept having to be reset by crew or reset itself. And, after first class etc. board, why don't they board the people at the back of the plane first, not the ones at the front? It took forever because people in front zones hadn't settled into their seats before people from the back zones tried to board."

Cons: "it was an international flight, they should offer/include something to eat."

Pros: "Nice friendly staff in plane, and experienced staff at airport (unlike in Okinawa, Tokyo and Osaka). Nice to be able to recheck bags and clear US customs in Vancouver, BC thanks to the US section of the terminal, so that we didn't have to do that upon arrival in Portland."

Pros: "Staff was courteous and tried to get people with large luggage to check it."
Cons: "It took forever to load as people carried on huge bags that wouldn't fit in the overhead bins or under the seats. It took an extremely long time to get through American customs, and they were very rude, not caring if people missed connecting flights. They wouldn't add workers. Some almost missed the flight. P"

Cons: "Boarding was terrible. For some reason we boarded 30 minutes late and then take off took forever. This made us late for our landing. When we landed, we were stuck on the plane for an extra half hour (after a 10 hour flight) because customs couldn't take us. I will never fly through Toronto again. This was my second experience with Air Canada there (and the first time my luggage was lost on the way to Brussels) and it is a complete disaster. Customs was the most complicated least organized process I had ever been through. There were 3 different spots to go through, I showed my passport and boarding pass a million times, stations were understaffed and the staff was unhappy, grumpy and snapping at airline guests. Additionally there was no free entertainment on the 10 hour flight."

Pros: "Quick flight and smooth ride. Same for boarding and exiting."
Cons: "Entertainment was not working well. Headphone jack broken and on board screen was spotty. Crew members did not offer anything to soften the situation."

Pros: "I'm glad Air Canada took appropriate precautions to ensure our safety, however..."
Cons: "On the flight from Portland to Vancouver, someone was allowed to board the plane and then leave, with no explanation, no accompaniment, and no way of contacting him. Consequently, our flight was delayed 3 hours while police and bomb squads checked the plane and all the baggage. Why was this person allowed to disembark in the first place? This occurred during boarding, so there should have been attendants there to stop him or at least ask him where he was going. And once he did disembark, why was no one able to track where he went? Seems like an odd security breach and, ultimately, a huge inconvenience for the passengers who remained on the plane."

Cons: "It was too hot, very warm and could not get the temperature down. Everyone was sweating it was bad."

Cons: "I was supposed to be home on a Sunday. That I didn't arrive until the follow Tuesday should tell you something. My adventure included: 2 cancelled flights, one drastically oversold flight, being given a hotel room without a working toilet, hours spent waiting at the airport for information from gate agents who never showed up, and being curtly told that, as a passenger who didn't arrive on a connecting flight, on my second night I would not be given a hotel room, but instead a mat to sleep on in the airport. I did finally get a hotel room—this time with a working toilet"

Pros: "Absolutely nothing"
Cons: "A 12 hour delay is not okay. The hotel comp was nice but they split my group of 5 into different hotels. The breakfast voucher did not work. The dinner voucher barely covered the cost at the designated restaurant. Customer service was extremely unaccomadating."

Pros: "Flight crew was courteous and professional"
Cons: "Got to the airport in plenty of time to check in only to be told there was no seat for me because the flight was overbooked. The ground crew in Bermuda were not very professional. The agent couldn't explain what was happening and said I had to wait for the supervisor to explain. The supervisor was rude and pretty much ignored my daughter and me and then finally called our names to be checked in. Still no apology or explanation. I got the feeling I was a bother to them. That was pretty much the icing on the cake! On our way to Bermuda they asked if we would check our carry on bags as the flight was full. We obliged and did not get ours bags for two days after we arrived in Bermuda. Still no explanation nor apology. No one we talked to could even tell us where our bags were. It was a very disappointing experience for my family. I really expected much better customer service from Air Canada"

Cons: "Barely any entertainment for the 11 hour flight because no one advised me to download their app to access their small selection. Also, first international flight that wanted to charge for beer (highest price I've seen)."

Cons: "Air Canada messed up new luggage process in YYZ for our BDA flight. Some connections qualify for baggage transfer with no pickup in Customs. BDA does not qualify. AC spent over an hour trying to figure out what to do with the luggage. Poor communication and inconsistent messaging didn't help. We made our connection but only because it was otherwise delayed arriving due to weather."

Cons: "I do and have been in the customer service field for well over 25yrs and the service from the desk reps (EXCEPT from the ladies when leaving Hamilton, Bermuda), flight attendant were lack luster to say the least...the energy and behavior was professional but no enthusiasm from the employees. Almost everyone's personality seemed like a flat lined and when I asked if I can have a whole can of ginger ale, the response was as if I asked to commit a crime. That was on way to Hamilton so I did same thing again on way back to see if I'd get same response and ironically, I did get same type of response as if I was doing or asking something wrong. However, the Air Canada employees in Bermuda at the counter were beyond wonderful, enthusiastic and great energy."

Cons: "Sat at the terminal for well over an hour waiting for fuel, or so we were told. Food was non-existent, except for purchased food. Not even a peanut. Drink selection lousy crew was variable, as one attendant was less than pleasant. others were fine."

Cons: "Flight delayed no information coming from them. Slow boarding with over a dozen wheelchairs and only one porter to load them. AC did not board children first but started with zones till one mother with 5 kids complained and then they announce young children can board. Girl at the gate chewed gum while dealing with passengers. No free cookies and only offered purchasable food. Free drink was a half full glass of warm ginger ale. No announcement about what to do with missed connections. AT the airport luggage was lost and only one person at the desk to handle dozens of people. Sent in circles looking for someone to help and causing me to pass 3 times through security even though I was never out of the building. This caused a major panic attack and not one employee came ask if they could help me. I was forced to hide in a washroom crying my eyes out and fighting the panic. Finally found out from another passenger that I could get a bus to Kingston. Went to an AC agent to inquire and told to go down stairs and ask them. I had 5 minutes to catch the bus but was told I would have to go back up stairs to purchase a ticket but would miss the bus. I found the driver who was awesome he let me purchase ticket on bus but I only had US dollars and they took it at par. Cost a lot for someone who has little. Luggage finally arrived 2 days later."

Cons: "We were told to check in via the electronic procedure and wait for our name to be listed on a board.. After waiting an hour and a half we were finally directed to the United counter and were able to complete the transfer and go to the gate."
