The flight from PDX to ONT was better with the seats but again we had no way to charge our devices and were asked to pay for the WiFi. Really??? In this day when EVERYONE uses them you are going to punish economy??? If you offer WiFi on the big ALaska planes then it should be offered on all of them. Not sure how hard it would be to wire in charge ports but someone should be working on that."

Pros: "Flying Alaska airlines is always something I have a bittersweet relationship. I love almost everything that Alaska does to improve their airline. Their wifi is some of the best in the US and its very affordable. Their "picnic box" snacks are awesome and unique, better than what you will find elsewhere, they have USB and full AC outlets at every seat, and their rewards program is the best in the business. By all accounts, AlaskaAir would be my favorite airline out there. But the staff that Alaska hires is just so terrible. Everytime I fly with them, they have simply the worst staff. Pair this with some of the best features of any airline and it leaves me scratching my head on whether or not I want to fly with them or to fly with an airline like Delta which might have fewer frills, but offers much better staff to help you."

Pre-Check was easy, I liked the "willing to take a voucher" option for full flights, the crew and planes were great, assigned seats and grouped boardings are good, menu selection was awesome, the entertainment tablets with free movie content and wifi options excellent, and power outlets at each seat PHENOMENAL. Plus active duty military gets up to five bags for free!?! Wow!!! I'm sold."

The problem is that nothing can compete with the exit row for leg room and being crammed between two guys isn't an upgrade either. Plus, due to proximity, got sick. And the flight was delayed leaving - due to the late arrival from ATL (Delta HQ) which had a power outage. And no video entertainment. No meals."

Cons: "Seated in the rear middle seat. I had no options to select a seat when I checked in or made my reservation that wasn't an extra charge. I'mover 6' tall and middle seats are painful, especially cross country. Airlines need to be a little more attentive to their customers' needs. If a passenger is taller than average, and the flight is more than 60 minutes, provide comfortable seating at no extra charge. If a customer has a short layover, which their system knows about since it is the sourve of the flight plans, put the customer toward the front of the aircraft since these flights are habitually late and customers end up having to sprint through airports to try to make connections."

After missing our connector - they did put us up in a hotel overnignt. However we still had to pay extra for taxi back, parking an extra day at the airport, and extra meals. Oh - and the extra trip to detroit..."

Then we finally got off the pane and ran to our connector which left without us. We were told they don't hold the plane for less than ten people. So the four of us don't matter. No crews member checked me if I were ok. I had fever and so sick. There were late. I never have any bad fight like this forever."

I was told they only serve meals on "international flights" but that I could buy a sandwich or snack. Unfortunately they only had 4 sandwiches on board , which sold within the first 2 rows of the plane!"

Cons: "They separated my bags, so I had to wait in Philadelphia for my bag to arrive on next flight 2 1/2 hours latter. Not happy after flying from Sydney."
Cons: "The e-ticket did not include the terminal information. As it was an Iberia flight I went to the terminal 7 where Iberia operates. However, after waiting on line when I got to the counter the attendant informed me that the flight was operated by American Airlines and I had to go to terminal 8. I ran to terminal 8 but by the time I got to the check in it was 6:15 and they said they said the check-in for the flight at 7(which was actually at 6:55pm) was closed for check-in. I was lucky enough that there was another Iberia flight (this one from terminal 7) st 8:30pm and the supervisor was able to find me a spot in that flight."
Pros: "TV monitor back of headrest with movies."
Cons: "Had to wait about 25 mins after landing to deplane."
Cons: "After being delayed without any explanation, I was told that I would not have my purchased 1st Class seat. To add to that I received no service In economy."
Pros: "On time, efficient, new plane. No troubles."
Pros: "I like to party. But besides that, I like flying with my instruments and not having to gate check them. Yay!"

Cons: "They had a delay that bumped our international connection. We had to switch airports and airlines and arrived significantly later than originally planned, causing us to miss pre-wedding events."

Cons: "This had to have been among the worst flights I have ever experienced in 50+ years of flying to 86 countries. First, an e-mail before I left my Paris apt that it would be 1 hr late departing. THEN the announcement ON BOARD that the flight would make a REFUELING stop in Bangor Maine (the eqpt was a 20 yr old 757 meant for a medium-range domestic route instead of Paris-NY). So it was FOUR HOURS LATE arriving, including an extra hour on the ground in Bangor because they'd lost their landing slot (tho they lied about "bad weather" at JFK) ... a succession of lies and incompetence. Headphone jack didn't even work at the seat ... the movie was a US film dubbed into French anyway! Gawd what incompetence. A letter Fedexed to Doug Parker, AA's CEO, was not even acknowledged.... and I do 35,000 air miles a year on AA. THE WORST."
Pros: "The entertainment was excellent! Flight was top notch! A+++ , very friendly people and nice to talk to!"
Cons: "A hippie beside me opened up his homemade fish and garlic hummus! But excellent on American Airlines end!"
Pros: "The flight was short and on time."
Cons: "Airlines should board from the back first. That would eliminate all the jostling of passengers already seated in the front, as well as the clogging of aisles as passengers trying to load their bags into overhead bins or under seats bar the way for passengers with seats behind the people blocking the aisles. It would also make it easier for flight attendants to get to passengers who need assistance. Seats are too narrow for the size of most American passengers. The people next to me on both my flights took up part of my space and pressed against me because their upper bodies were too large to fit in their seat space. Paying to check a bag on a domestic flight is very irritating."
Cons: "We have American Credit Card we thought we were told we would be in Group 1 NOT Group 5!"

Pros: "The new airplane was nice. The plane that we took to Hawaii was so old that it still had ashtrays and was super dirty."
Cons: "For some reason American has not given us any seat assignments in our trip home and all the gate agents are very unfriendly and not in HR least bit helpful."
Pros: "The cabins are very cold and the seats stiff. Food was just dry pretzels and soda, coffee etc. Landing was smooth. I just wish more information was given as to why we were delayed etc."
