Cons: "I arrived a the airport early and tried to get on an earlier flight. The Alaska rep wouldn't help me and said I had to use the kiosk for that. I did not get on the flight. When I got to the gate (I paid for first class) my boarding pass didn't work. It was resolved but it seems my using the kiosk created the problem even though I didn't change flights."

Cons: "They lost all checked baggage from all passengers aboard the entire plane, and cannot give me any answers as to what happened or where any of the bags actually are. Bags show in their system, but are not physically present anywhere. It was a direct flight!! TERRIBLE service! they don't know if/when I'll get my bags. Unacceptable, as I have medications inside, thinking they could not screw up a direct flight."

Cons: "In Seattle, the boarding process was chaotic and mismanaged. The ground staff gave confusing and ambiguous instructions that resulted in everyone forming a large, disorganized throng in front of the gate agent. It was as if they said "everyone get on the plane immediately, and we are only taking the first 30 people"."

Had to lift suitcase on scale 2 times to get to 50 pounds, then 3rd time agent finally said we could just put the items we removed on the scale instead. Attitude from agent at check-in and at the gate were miserable and snotty! Will NOT fly again!"

The best we were offered was food vouchers, which normally might not have bothered me as much, except that I am pregnant. Sleeping on airport benches at 6 months pregnant is ridiculous!"

In a short 5 minute phone call I was on the next safe flight out only 2 hours behind my regular schedule and they were really nice during the whole conversation!"

Once crew did show up, there was no sense of urgency and ground ops even seemed lethargic. Missed my connecting flight. Rebooked on a later flight which was then subsequently delayed another hour. The whole trip took twice as long as it should have."

We got a second plane quickly, on the second boarding process the gate agent failed to do preboarding. I'm on crutches at the moment, so this meant more time on my feet manoeuvring around "elite status members" than I would have liked."

This made the 10 hour flight very uncomfortable as I went hours without water. Also, use of iPad for reading books wasn't allowed after the flight was established, I'm not sure who came up with these regulations but after spending a month on various flights in Asia, this was the only flight where I encountered these issues. Also, there was no vegetarian option in economy. Fortunatly, the staff brought a left over dinner from business class but I find it hard to believe that flight to the US would not have a vegetarian option."

Cons: "The boarding process is very confusing. There are so many different boarding priorities and programs, it is difficult to know where you are in the boarding process. Even if you have a ticket labeled as Group 1, you may still be one of the last boarded because of all the different programs that have priority over you. Would be better to limit the advance boarding to people who need extra help and a single program. This leads to the question, why are there so many different programs? Wouldn't it be easier to have a single loyalty program? If you don't qualify for advance boarding because you did not purchase a first class seat, or you haven't reached the advance boarding requirements, you don't qualify. Let's start thinking about the customer again, and less on the profit margin. How would one of your executives feel if they had a boarding Group 2 and 85% of the plane was already boarded by the time your group was called, thereby limiting the space for your correct size carry-on? One more thing that would be beneficial, enforce the size limit for carry-on luggage. I have been to airports that limit the size with a box on the x-ray machine so you can not even get an oversized piece of luggage through security. Just one idea for the industry."

Cons: "Charging customers for meals on a transatlantic flight is a terrible way to nickel and dime your customers for the most basic provisions. Not all travellers carry accepted credit cards, including the woman sitting beside me. Because it is so common (formally standardized) for airlines to provide food on longer flights, many travellers assume their WestJet flight will the same and arrive unprepared. I normally love WestJet for their customer service, but these flight attendants talked down to customers with legitimate questions. I am choosing another airline for my next international flight, although reluctantly so - I hope to see some changes from WestJet for a more comfortable flight."

I was motion sick the entire ride, and no water was provided until four hours in, and while I understand it was due to turbulence, perhaps if it is too bumpy to serve water for the first four hours we should not be flying at all. Also very little food is provided for a 5.5 hour trip, two biscuits is not sufficient and as we landed near midnight there are not many options to acquire quick food either."

I was very grateful. Also, your flight attendants seem to really enjoy their jobs. This is not the case on other airlines!"

Cons: "Well, they mixed up my check-in luggage during transit. As a result it got delayed and I had to spend the night without it. Although, I was informed about this miss when I landed in Vancouver, the team did not seem to feel particularly bad about it. Also, the process of getting reimbursed for the predefined expenditure allowance needs to be more efficient. Ideally, in such cases, the airlines should not only refund the check-in fee, but also provide a prepaid card to make any urgent purchases. Their current process requires one to bear the expenses initially, scan/click and send the original receipts and await a response from their baggage team. I am waiting to hear back from them on my submission."

So they say will wait for us as flight not full. Nope, flight leaves without 7 of us. Got the " don't know what happened" look. So they give us a $60 dollar food voucher, and take us to hotel because now must wait 12 hours for next flight. Tell us to be in lobby at a certain time to catch shuttle back to airport. Time comes, sorry no room, and buggers off. They call taxis, when drivers find drive for vouchers, tell us to load own baggage! Not likely to fly West Jet again."

Cons: "I'm a bit disappointed by the services provided by Westjet: 1) I never received the confirmation of my fight/booking from Westjet; 2) I was not aware that the connecting from LA to SJ and SJ to LA were operated by different companies therefore I was not able to check in or even to check the gate information at the airport. I almost missed my flight from SJ to LA in the early morning 3) at the SJ airport, I was not aware that the flight from SJ to LA was operated by Delta not American airline. However, the Westjet customer services 1-888 number listed in your Kayak confirmation was not a correct number. I even tried to look up another customer services number of Westjet by searching the Westjet website, the number I found was not in service neither. I almost missed my flight from SJ to LA 4) At the LA airport I was told that I was not able to board the flight because I did not have the Canadian ETA. they said they would pull my checked luggages and flight them with my re-scheduled flight and will be shipped to the final destination Vancouver, Canada. when I arrived Vancouver, both suitcases were not arrived with my flight. One arrived with my original flight and the second were missing. The agent could not even tell me where the suitcase was. Moreover, the second did not arrive the time I was told it should arrive. My second suitcase was not allocated even before I left Vancouver to Europe one day after my travel. 5) No one responded to the luggage services number provided in the document. I could only successfully login to the link for the checking the status after I returned home in Brussels. 6) I was told that the second suitcase will be delivered to my home in Europe by another company. Currently I'm still waiting for my second suitcase."

While the hotel and shuttle were paid for, Air Canada only gave me a $7 breakfast voucher, which was only redeemable at the hotel's measly breakfast counter rather than anywhere in the airport. For the unnecessary delays I had to deal with, i should had received more credit. This was an utterly disappointing travel experience."

My experiences with Air Canada have been fine. My experience with United was terrible. Their check in devices freeze and don't give proper instructions or feedback, and my tray table was taped shut because it was broken. The tape looked like it was a year old. It is not ok to fix an airplane with tape. This is terrible for both of us. Now you - Air Canada - are sharing in United's PR disaster because you've effectively said buying tickets from you might just be a bait-and-switch for buying tickets with them. Upon purchasing tickets "your" customers have no way of knowing what they're going to get. I'd much rather book with an airline that sells tickets for its own flights, or at least tells customers when they're buying something else instead of lying to them."
