Pros: "on time"
Pros: "Politeness of crew. The employee at Toronto was able to change my middle seat to aisle as requested. My original seat was aisle but it was changed and I found out in Boston."
Cons: "That it was cramped. I was on a 4seat row, aisle, but I had the man next to me encroaching on my leg and arm space"
Pros: "the flight crew offered us as many drinks as we'd like which was nice."
Cons: "the seats were quite uncomfortable even though it was a 5 hour flight. there was no food on flight other than for purchase, too expensive."
Pros: "I am 6ft 1 / 185cm and the leg room was OK for an economy flight. Food was OK for airplane food. Staff were very friendly. Overall very happy."
Pros: "New plane!!"
Cons: "No WiFi"
Pros: "Wonderful cabin crew"
Cons: "Sadly both legs of my flight were delayed . Runway issues in Vancouver. Weather issues in Calgary ."
Pros: "Boarding was easy"
Cons: "This was a +10 hour trans Atlantic flight. We walked on and immediately noticed there were no TV screens. I expected that the crew would be handing out portable screens instead which would have been ok but pretty inconvenient. This was not the case. We asked the crew and were told that to have entertainment for the flight we would have to download the Air Canada flight into our OWN devices and connect to the airplane wifi. They also explained that you can't download the app while connected to the airplane wifi so anyone who wanted entertainment had to scramble to download the app while we were still on the ground and Use cellular data! at this point 300 people were either panicking because they didn't have a personal device with them, didn't have a charger for their device and so would have power issues or were forced to use up roaming data because they had non Canadian phone plans!!! At the very least staff should have told passengers about this setup while they were waiting at the gate, so that people would have time to download the app with airport wifi! add to all this the fact that the app was extremely low quality and the options for movies/show were disappointingly dated and limited. This was not officially a cheap low cost flight for my family but the service we got certainly would categorize it as such. Very disappointed."
Pros: "There was nothing outstanding on this flight."
Cons: "We were delayed on boarding, they changed the gate number a number of times... it was all very disorganized. Both flights to and from LAX were delayed hours so they had to give us a voucher for 15% off our next flight."
Pros: "Friendly punctual"
Cons: "Seats are way too close! No leg room!"
Pros: "The plane was comfortable. Staff was great."
Pros: "Of the five planes we were on, all but one had comfortable seating (I'm 6'1" tall)"
Cons: "The lady helping us through the Toronto airport between flights made my wife cry. We had to stop to go to the restroom on the way to our gate, and the lady complained when I waited to go in after my wife came out. I told her I was going to do that, but she was apparently pre-occupied when I told her, because she was looking right at me when I said it. I then told her that I had let her know that was my plan, but she denied it, then told my wife she was just one of a hundred people. This left my wife in tears. This was a stain on an otherwise good flying experience, but it' tarnished the whole."
Pros: "Straightforward flight."
Cons: "Two guys behind us talked the ENTIRE flight. This was an overnight flight when most people wanted to sleep. Quite rude for Canadians."
Pros: "Everything was great...but there was a medical issue on board and it would be good to hear that the guy who got 'ill' is ok and that it was nothing serious that anyone else could have contracted from him. Paramedics boarded the plane when we landed, I assume it's nothing serious but would be nice to hear from air Canada to confirm. Other than this unfortunate event ... everything was great starting with the staff at the ticket counter."
Pros: "No complaints"
Pros: "Captain kept cre informed"
Cons: "Washrooms too far and had ti wait fir staff ti finish serving. Aisles very narrow"
Pros: "Smooth, great crew"
Cons: "Nothing, it was great"
Pros: "We got home but later then expected."
Cons: "Coming home late. Going thru customs took too long. No one to help with directions at Toronto Airport"
Pros: "The cabin attendants did a fine job and the aircraft was clean."
Cons: "I didn't like the in flight entertainment system. Some of the monitors did not work for some passengers and the crew had to reset the system several times which disrupted all passengers."
Pros: "This was an economy flight for the weekend. Everything was perfect except I believe the airlines policy of charging for checked baggage is leading people to take advantage. We were delayed briefly just for people trying to get way too much carry on baggage into the overhead compartments."
Pros: "Crew was excellent"
Cons: "Long delay while a new crew was flown to Toronto. Has root cause of original delay been identified and steps taken to ensure it doesn't happen again?"
Cons: "I never received an e-mail to check in, and by the time I remembered (morning of), this resulted in me not having a seat assigned on my ticket. This caused a lot of needless stress, though to Air Canada's credit, they got all those waiting for a seat assignment on board. On my return trip, I did receive an e-mail - luckily, as the flight was overbooked again."
Cons: "The entertainment was non-existent unless you had an Apple device or paid the $10 to rent one for an hour or so. Really disappointing considering other Air Canada flights."
Pros: "Staff was friendly"
Cons: "Uncomfortable seating"
Pros: "This was my third air canada rouge flight so I knew what to expect. Staff are always super courteous and good food options available."
Cons: "Almost 0 arm/leg room, flight was delayed and they tried bumping me off my flight onto another because they had overbooked."
Cons: "Left unattended in wheelchair at two stages"
Pros: "flight was smooth and on time."
Cons: "Maple Leaf Lounge at Pearson airport was shabby. We expected a bit more than soup and gherkins, but that's all that was available, except for some dry nacho chips. No electrical outlets. Indifferent staff. Shame on Air Canada! We have visited airport lounges all over the world and this was by far the worst!"
Pros: "Friendly employees at each turn"
Cons: "Change food to more palatable. Improve entertainment options to rival Delta and Aer Lingus"
Pros: "Everything was basically on time."
Cons: "Air canada should still give snacks like west jet."
Cons: "They could have rushed more to get us off the ground quicker."
Pros: "Seats were wide and very comfortable"
Pros: "We liked everything about our flight, except my husband lost his luggage and it is not found, one day later ! ?"
Cons: "Lost luggage"
Pros: "Flight from Vancouver to Frankfort was perfect. All crew members and gate members were pleasant to deal with."
Pros: "Service was fair"
Cons: "Lst 2 of 3 suitcases, no entertainment in seatback, personal device entertainment was very limited and dated, wine is not complimentary with meals on a long flight, screaming babies, overhead light would not work for the right side or middle of plane. As an Alliance member, you failed miserably. We will be seeking partial refund for you sendng one bag to Athens, one to Zurich and one to Munich."
Cons: "The announcement about turbulence were to much. Could have been way more subtle or shorter"
Pros: "Smooth boarding, friendly crew, pillow and blanket both serviceable. Food was a little better than I expected for economy."
Cons: "Baggage handling ripped handle clean off new suitcase, both ends. Delays in departures from Dublin led to us using stairs off of plane on tarmac. Entertainment mostly dependent on app you can't download on plane if you're using wi-fi."
Pros: "Comfortable seats with great entertainment options. The flight attendants were especially wonderful. They were always smiling and good conversationalists."
Cons: "Boarding was delayed and there wasn't really any organization. A flight to Beijing was boarding at the same time at the gate right next to ours and passengers were getting mixed up, causing longer boarding. Some better signage or direction from staff would have been appreciated."
Cons: "We were late for our flight from London to Toronto because we checked on the Kayak website that morning only to find out it would be delayed 3 1/2 hours. Air Canada told us to only look on the AirCanada.com site. Why would Kayak put that on their website if it was not true? Stick with the facts. We missed our flight and caused us much stress going standby for the next flight out of London."
Pros: "There was excellent leg room by modern standards seats were comfortable flight was very fast once we left Montreal. Plane was landed very smoothly"
Cons: "Sat at the terminal for well over an hour waiting for fuel, or so we were told. Food was non-existent, except for purchased food. Not even a peanut. Drink selection lousy crew was variable, as one attendant was less than pleasant. others were fine."
Cons: "My passport was still valid but didn't have the 3-6 months left on it (a rule I didn't know about) and was told about this at the air canada counter without any concern or direction. Was in shock."
Pros: "Flight staff is pretty good. People on the phone are generally good, as long as you don't mind waiting and hour, or two - three for a callback."
Cons: "Direct flight was delayed 3 hours and then two more times for a few hours and eventually cancelled from Toronto to Charlottetown due to flight staff (flight attendant called in sick so they cancelled the entire flight). So I was rebooked from my direct flight onto a connection the following evening in Montreal (which was expecting a winter storm). This was at 2 am so no more staff at the airport to even speak to. Had to call and ask for a call back which came at 4 am. The next day I got to the airport at 2 pm for my 5 pm flight to Montreal. It got delayed so I called air Canada and they booked me on an earlier flight. However it was too early and staff at the airport couldn't check me in as it was less than 45 minutes (facepalm). I was put on a later flight and got to Montreal okay. In Montreal my flight was delayed multiple times. Finally got on the plane but the ground staff was not around to get the place ready, pushed back, refused, etc. Waited 35 minutes on the plane before going to de-ice. Flight got 75% of the way to Charlottetown (almost over Moncton). It was a very turbulent flight. The pilot notified us we couldn't lanf in Charlottetown and were being diverted back to Montreal. So back to Montreal we went. On arriving back at Montreal we were notified to the flight attendants and again by the pilot that there would be people there go help us with rebooking. I still don't understand why they couldn't just get a new crew and fly us all back soemtime that day instead of having to all rebook, etc. This was at 1:30 AM. There was nobody waiting for us at the airport. I was automatically rebooked on a flight to Halifax that night and a morning flight go Charlottetown meaning I would have to stay another night and miss a second day of work. So, waiting in lineups until 4:30-5 AM in order to rebook a better flight back to Charlottetown. By this time I decided after spending much of the last 20 hours in airports or on a plane, that I would boom Moncton and just get a bus or drive home. Which I did, I booked Montreal to Moncton for 11 AM, paid for a bus and took that to Charlottetown. I arrived in Charlottetown at 5 PM Wednesday evening after "leaving toronto" at 11 PM Monday. Two cancelled flights, multiple delays, 5-6 rebooking, missed two days work, and lost a lot of sleep. No help from air Canada but hopefully they will cover the hotel for the first night as it was flight staff that caused the cancellation. All in all, if that attendant wasn't sick, or if air Canada had better solutions to this type of issue, I would have been home much earlier and with less stress. It really isn't fun being in an airport that long not knowing what is happening and how to get home."
Pros: "Nice crew & good entertainment app"
Cons: "No space at all. Despite 5-hour length, no complementary food. Will not willingly choose Rouge unless it is the only option"
Pros: "The entertainment system was great - good selection, and I really appreciated the ability to make a list of what I wanted to watch"
Pros: "The Crew was friendly enough, the seats were comfortable."
Cons: "The crew "was" friendly enough, but didn't respond to the Call Attendant button (twice) when it was pushed, as my daughter was hungry. I had to go to the back of the plane and open the curtain and ask: "is it possible to get something to eat"? Our plane ticket costs an exorbitant amount, AND we are forced to pay for our meals....service would be the very minimum that we could expect.... ALSO: Although there was no charge for baggage on our flight out, and nothing written anywhere about a baggage charge, yet on the return flight we were hit with a $90 baggage fee!! The flight was already too expensive but that was just adding insult to injury"
