I had to cancel my trip because of COVID delta. My brother who I visiting got scared and didn’t want me to visit. I paid for insurance that you provided through your site. Allianz hidden in terms that canceling because of COVID fear isn’t covered. I was never offered insurance through delta on your site witch I would have bought. Delta isn’t even giving me a credit for a flight and keep my money. What a scam and I’m very disappointed in the services I received.

Boarding was on time (if not a little early). The flight was unfortunately not properly catered for snack boxes in main cabin. This is likely a one off instance, but it’s a long flight for no food options other than pretzels and Biscoffs. Service was attentive and friendly. This particular flight offered Delta’s DeltaOne lay flat first class seats. Would highly recommend. Flight left on time and arrived early!

It would have been nice to be served some water

Cons: "After a delay of about an hour on a very full flight the gate agent asked for volunteers to check their rollaboard suitcases. The gate agents then allowed those who checked their rollaboards to board before Zone 1,which was fine. However, a bunch of people without gate check stickers on the rollaboards were also allowed to board before Zone 1, which was aggravating. There was a long delay on the tarmac, during which we had to pull back to the gate or to a maintenance area before we finally took off. When we arrived in Vegas there was no gate for us to pull into, which led to another long delay of an already long and delayed flight."

Her flight from Amsterdam to New York today operated by KLM, was delayed by few minutes. And Delta flight from JFK to Cleveland DL4084 was preponed by airlines. Result was my daughter was not allowed to board the aircraft. Worst was yet to come. Your staff at the gate offered her a flight to Cleveland for next day at 3:30 pm??? Means around 24 hours later. Is this how you behave with a girl of 19 years, asking her to stay at the airport. She was refused Hotel and Lounge stay by your team!!! Is this what you call customer services??? Obscene services is what I would like to term it as!!! My daughter asked them to give this is writing, which was refused to her. Why are your people scared to put it in writing if everything that you are doing is right by the Law??? I was left with no other option but to book her on American Airlines flight today departing at 9 pm to ensure that little girl doesn’t have to spend close to 24 hours at airport by paying $423. Who is going to bear the loss of money and mental torture that your team has given to me and my daughter???? Pros: "I paid 60 bucks for an emergency row exit, take get some extra leg room and space so that I would be fresh when I arrived in Munich. However KLM allowed a passenger — who did not pay for the emergency row to sit next to me because he needed the extra space because he was a liarge man, and clearly didn’t fit very well in the economy seats. Thus I I lost all the extra space and actually would of preferred a regular economy seat. that would’ve been more preferential then paying $60 and getting less space than I would’ve had it in a regular economy. I understand the other passengers comfort was important and if that was the case he should’ve paid $60 as well."

Cons: "It was not acceptable and very disappointed that flight DL391 from SDQ to NY-JFK was delayed till it left at 4:40pm because there were no crew members to bring the aircraft to STO DGO the night before as it is usually done so that the aircraft sleeps over in las Americas. We were at the airport at 4:30am because the flight was scheduled to depart at 6:05am we were lucky to be able to rebook for a flight SDQ-ATL DL576 for the same day hoping to make the connection ATL-IND. Unfotunately that flight was rerouted to Charlotte due to bad weather conditions with a delay of 3 hrs before it landed in ATL thus missing our connection to INDI and had to sleep in ATL and leave the next day to IND thus missing a meeting commitment that we had in IND. We should and expect to be compensated by Delta for this."

Then on top of that the passenger next to me removed his shoes and you could smell his feet from a mile away but the flight attendants never requested for him to replace his shoes."

Cons: "The positives don’t even come close to offsetting the misery of Delta’s seats. I honestly don’t remember the last time I was so cramped and uncomfortable. I’m not an abnormally large man - 6 feet 200 lbs - and there was no room for my legs or my shoulders in an “upgraded economy” seat. I fly weekly for work on another major airline, and only took this one in a crunch. But I am quite certain this was my last Delta flight and I’ll be advising others similarly. The service and entertainment aren’t sufficient to mask an awful seat configuration."

Well about 5 people on a small flight had to see them. My bag was stuck in JFK. I was told id have to come back to the airport tomorrow. At this point id been traveling for close to 24 hours. Im not a happy camper. I usually fly JetBlue and this has never happened with them. Delta acted like its a normal thing with them. I paid 25 dollars to check each bag. How can both my bags not reach their final destination together and how come this seems like a normal procedure for Delta. I paid you for a service and now I have to drive back to the airport or wait for you at home to deliver my bags whenever Delta feels like it. I probably won't fly Delta again unless I absolutely have to."

Impossible to rest due to lack of space. I tried to put my head down on my tray table but couldn't since it hit the seat in front of me. Mid flight my 13 year old daughter got back spasms. Upon arrival we could barely walk and looked like two old women limping down the jetway. No idea how a tall or larger person could have even sat down."

The airline cancelled the flight at 1.30 in the morning so no one was able to get a stay in a hotel not did the airline take any action towards helping the stranded passengers. We were given blankets and pillows. The best thing was the ground staff getting rude after all passengers complaining. They were basically saying we should get stuffed since we were booked for a flight next day same day. This is shameful! Needless to say that I will not fly this airline again!"

The flight attendant was so rude on this trip. It was like she was absolutely offended by my presence. I barely even spoke to her except to make sure of my vegetarian tray to which I got the nasty reply "You'll have to wait because I don't have it with me now". If I wasn't so focused on sleeping as much as I could I would have written her name down. No complimentary cocktails for Preferred Seating? Seriously? What did I upgrade for exactly? Literally four inches of space? Late, rude, money sucking industry who holds no accountability for wrong doings. Don't get into the Health Industry.. you'll kill people with this flippant attitude. Bleh.. I doubt I'll fly with Delta again. The thought of having to do so turns my stomach."

I didn't like that my flight time was changed more than 15 times with no reason why until boarding time. I didn't like the fact that I did not get a seat assignment until boarding the plane. I didn't like the fact that they couldn't manage to scramble another plane and crew, but instead forced us to wait over four hours for one that was stuck somewhere else in the country."

They said am only entitled 1 piece, and therefore I have to pay for the other luggage. I was forced to borough money from someone at the airport just so that I could board the flight."

My flight was delayed 12 hours overnight due to "weather" and since it was reportedly because of uncontrollable weather delta didn't have to do anything for me so I slept in the JFK airport overnight, they wouldn't even give a $59 pass to their sky miles club for the afternoon. It felt like an easy excuse so they wouldn't have to do anything since there were other airlines still flying out of JFK and to go CLE before my rescheduled flight which makes me believe it wasn't all weather. Since the flight was delayed 12 hours instead of being cancelled they wouldn't let me switch to a different airline either. Then, in the morning when it was rescheduled to it was again delayed because they first couldn't find a captain and then couldn't find a fort mate. We finally took off and arrived in Cleveland only to wait another 30 minutes for a gate and a ground crew that they couldn't find. I will never fly delta again."

Cons: "We had seats at first where there was what looked like bubble gum bits stuck on one of the food trays. The flight was clearly not cleaned although it landed 2+ hours before the departure. We had to ask for a wet tissue and clean it up. That was of no use too as it wouldn't scrub off. My wife was feeling under the weather and so we asked for a blanket. The blanket was hardly a blanket and more like a towel. We then luckily could switch seats as there were 2 vacant. But, the air conditioner was leaking water in the seat to our left. The crew was callous and just stuck the passenger with some napkins saying it does that. I don't fly Delta a lot and my experience in this trip isn't inspiring much confidence."

It is nice that you can play movies for free over WiFi on your phone or tablet (since the in-seat system simply didn't work...), but, bizarrely, the WiFi movie selection was different from (and substantially smaller than) the seat movie selection. What's that about? And the WiFi movie scheme is way more painful than it needs to be, requiring you "check out" movies using your web browser, then switch to a separate app to actually watch the movies. Clearly the product of a company mindset whose ONLY concern is "can we check some box", with absolutely no interest in "how can we delight our customers?""
Cons: "So we get the same entertainment system all these flights use: some ghastly totally non-optimized Linux setup that was rebooted three times during the flight, took 20 minutes for each reboot, and never worked correctly after any of the reboots. (The only movie my system would ever play was the very first one, and none of the on-screen controls worked. The seat next door could choose multiple movies, but each movie froze after 40 minutes). The amazing thing is: why don't they just install a damn iPad mini or Android equivalent in the back of each seat? Would be lighter than what they have today and would work FAR better. You'd need some co-ordinating/provisioning software to provide for OTA announcements and movie updates, but basically it's not that hard... At the very least, hire a Linux-head to optimize your startup scripts! It's just sad to see this 20 minute startup process (all dumped on the screen) with its constant repetition of time-wasting startup steps that just generate errors on this plane's particular hardware setup..."

Therefore, our seats were not assigned until the last minute, and once they were assigned, they were published in a screen with our initials. This practice was discriminatory and violateed our rights for privacy, We even felt that it could put our security in risk. I believe that one thing is not to allow clients to choose seats in advace because they bought the ticket through a third party website, and another thing is to discriminate an treat those clients as "second class" people. When I asked the person in the counter for the reasons behind this practice, she could only say it was Delta's policy to do it that way. In that sense I was very surprised with the practice because i bought an Airfrance ticket (not a Delta one) and I had travelled before in both airlines (Airfrance and Delta) and I had never experienced a situation like the one described. I strongly believe that Delta needs to review this practice."
Cons: "The gate for the connecting flight from NY to Rome wasn't posted at the terminal or available via the Delta aps. The Kayak AP didn't have it either. I found out late that it was practially at a different airport. With less than an hour I had to take a bus to a different terminal, walk through, exit onto the street, cross the street and walk down the block to a different terminal. Then I had to re-enter through security (where the line was wrapped back to the front doors). Had the flight not been delayed for mechanical issues I would have missed it. My flights were purchased through Delta. If Delta uses different airlines they should post gate information on their web sites."

Unlikely many airlines the West Jet crew - in flight and the ground crew - were all very friendly, helpful and actually seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. I called West Jet prior to checking in on-line and my call was answered within a minute by a real human who was so helpful. That's the polar opposite of so many airlines like Air Canada."

I was finally able to upgrade at the delta check-in counter for a higher fee than usual (ontop of the perfered seat upgrade I already paid for). I waited 1.5hrs after takeoff before I called staff for a drink. Over 2hrs before they officially started serving main cabin drinks and snacks. There was some turbulence but they could have served people by hand without the cart. They had no problem serving first class before, during and after takeoff."

Cons: "Forced me to check in my (undersized) duffel bag carry on. Then forgot To load the bag onto the plane. WestJet cited a questionable and unlikely reason, that the bag was not loaded due to baggage to passenger weight ratio for safety reasons, even though flight was far from full with multiple empty rows. Plus there was a grand total of only approximately 12 pieces of baggage at the carousel. Also the plane’s auxiliary power generator was broken, which meant no a/c while on the tarmac before and after takeoff. Cabin was warm though not intolerable, however led to delays at both origin and destination airport due to having to wait for an external power supply truck. No in flight service due to supposed turbulence. Which would have been fine, except there really wasn’t much turbulence. Didn’t affect me, but my neighbor’s entertainment system was broken. However, these multiple issues and the broken power generator makes me wonder about what other maintenance issues have been overlooked or not addressed. Most of all I was offended by the clear lack of honesty about my baggage. If there really was a weight limit safety issue despite the plane being far from maximum capacity, then there are much bigger issues with the plane that makes me never want to fly WestJet again. But don’t insult your passengers by lying to cover up your carelessness. My baggage arrived on the following (my original) flight, but that which was delayed by nearly two hours. I’ve flown on United, Delta, Southwest, JetBlue, WowAir, AA, Alaskan, Virgin, American Airlines, United Airways, China Air, EVA, and Air Canada. So far, WestJet has been by far my worst experience."

Pros: "The cabin crew were outstanding on WS709 today. This is my fourth trip with Westjet, and today stood above. Diane was beyond efficient and pleasant while maintaining a smile and grace, while a number of unattended children were onboard. My seat was changed, and that's fine - mostly because of the manner in which the crew at Pearson handled it. Then, I couldn't resist giving up my re-assigned (centre) seat so that two sisters could sit together. The two folk in my row were lovely, they talked more than I did, but when I joined in, it was a genuinely pleasant conversation. Three strangers, meeting per chance. The woman next to me had given her seat up for a family to sit together, so it really was a chance encounter! Diane needs to be promoted!"

Should they have automatically been assigned two seats together - they were unaccompanied. As happens, an 'aunt-like' woman was seated next to them, and again, Diane was an another in-charge auntie!"

Cons: "- The unprofessional way the staff "sorted us out". Especially the lady at check-in. Our flight was from NY to Toronto and then connecting after a nine-hour layover from Toronto to London. On all flights, we got the seats in the middle of the aircraft allocated, which is challenging when you are on crutches. - The second flight to London was in a terribly old machine where the overhead compartments were not well equipped to accommodate my crutches. The only way they fitted was at the very back underneath all the luggage. So when I asked the flight staff to help me get my crutch to go to the toilet, as I could not get it myself, he asked: "do you really have to use it?". I considered that very rude! - The selling of the entertainment systems took forever, which meant that the food sale was very late. Almost 4 hours into the flight on an overnight flight is really late! Especially when people would prefer to sleep. Due to my medication, I had to wait for food, but it took forever. All in all, not the best experience"

This stuff happens, and I am generally a patient and understanding person. That said, WestJet not only caused inconvenience and added expense, the airline had absolutely destroyed my snowboard bag. It was damaged so badly that I had to tape it up just so I could get out of the airport without losing my stuff everywhere. The WestJet employees didn't say anything about the damage, and clearly hoped I would just go away without making a claim. To make matters worse, they only pay part of the cost to replace my luggage."

As a kosher consumer, I was unable to drink the water from a kosher perspective and I never drink tap water anyway! I found the staff to be less than friendly until the flight was over. Our flight was cancelled and we had a longer wait for the next flight. I missed an evening appointment due to this cancellation. I never understand why the back of the plane doesn't board first, other than first class."

Cons: "My flight from NYC to Montreal was significantly delayed because the plane was late getting to NYC. This caused several passengers to miss our connecting flight to Quebec City. Air Canada put us on another flight that didn't depart until over 24 hours later! Despite our efforts, we were not offered any help in getting on an earlier flight, and the airline was unwilling to give us hotel vouchers or rental car vouchers. We paid for a rental car and drove ourselves from Montreal to Quebec City. Both of our returning flights were delayed as well. I understand things happen when traveling, but I expect some type of help/ reimbursement/ or sympathy (at a minimum) from the airline! This was my first and will be my only time flying Air Canada."

The gate agent should have been conscientious and informed us that the delay was ongoing with our flight being number 22+ on the tarmac to take off, thus guaranteeing our missed connection. They should have rebooked us on another flight from our original destination vs rebooking us upon arrival in Montreal to miss further connecting flights. Very disappointed!!!!! Pros: "As a professional musician, flying with my viola is one of the most nerve wracking experiences, as if it is forced to be checked due to insufficient room for overhead baggage, it could be completely destroyed. As stated in Air Canada's online policy, passengers traveling with musical instruments that fit as carry on baggage are allowed to change to earlier boarding zones. After approaching a staff member with my viola, I wasn't simply assigned an earlier zone, but rather I was allowed to board first. On this principle alone I will be flying Air Canada again. Thank you!!!"
Pros: "Had a flight out of LGA to Toronto after arriving on the red eye from Cali! The staff is amongst the best in the industry and love flying them! Polished, professional and courteous! For the money we pay to fly and be spoken to as if we're second rate citizens is absured and unacceptable. However every time I fly them, I find their employees make the entire experience a pleasure to fly! Thank you to the leadership team for empowering your staff and execution."

Cons: "Terrible experience. I bought 2 tickets for my parents from New York to Shanghai a month ago. But on the day of flight, Air Canada refused their boarding, stating that they did not have Canada visas, the fight would transfer in Montreal which needs Canada visa. I had never heard about it and it was never mentioned when I booking the tickets. I called the first customer service who was rude and not helpful. Finally, I found out that my parents had to transfer to Toronto, which does not need a visa. But in order to make the change, I had to pay Air Canada extra $1180, which were more expensive than the tickets self. At that time, I had no other choice. I am really upset. I want to warm all Chinese who don't have green card or Canada visa that do not buy tickets from Air Canada. Their customer service told me that they did not have the obligation to list this kind of information on their website. So if you choose Air Canada, you lose your money and deal with all the hassles by yourself. I will never use Air Canada in my whole life again."

Cons: "My flight from NYC to Montreal was delayed 4 hours due to a storm that had passed earlier in the day. That was understandable, however we then sat on the tarmac at the gate for an additional hour because Air Canada's entire computer system suddenly crashed. We finally got to the runway and in the middle of takeoff the pilot slammed on the brakes and aborted the takeoff because he did not reach high enough speed. It was very scary. I was supposed to land in Montreal at 10:20 pm but arrived there at 2:30 am the next morning."

If you know there is going to be construction at the airport perhaps adjust your flight schedule accordingly and don't sell as many flights as when there is no construction?"

Also REALLY ANNOYING. and the staff are rude if you ask them anything. Then on the plane i wasted 5 bucks trying to buy wifi since you guys dont even have it on your planes for free like delta does. Even then you pay for the worst wifi on the planet where your messages take a half hour to go through and over my whole hour and 10 minute flight i had 3 messages because of your horrible gogo wifi. Waste of money. Overall this whole air canada experience made me want to rip my hair out and stressed me out to the point that I dont want to fly again. The crew handled this excellently by making sure that we were made comfortable and the pilot gave us several updates as he got the information about take-off for Toronto. On the flight to New York on September 28th, I experienced my first landing where not even a tiny bump was felt when the plane touched the ground."

Thankfully, we got on that flight however, we were in the airport for 8 hours from 8am to 4pm for a 1 1/2 hr flight. Our original flight was supposed to leave around 10am. No flight re-imbursement was issued to us, and we only received lunch vouchers after we asked for them."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 40 and then 50 minutes. No announcements were made, the screen just changed. I'm glad I went up to ask about my connecting flight to Athens; if I had waited and got on the flight, I would have missed my connection. The people at the AirCanada desk were nice, and were able to find us other seats. However, we were promised seats on the 7:30 flight, but instead were put on the 5:45 flight. We asked for the AirCanada person to call back and change our flight, but she said we would have time (at this point, 1 hour and 20 minutes before the flight left), even though I showed her that there was a lot of traffic between LGA and JFK and we probably would not make it. We had to leave LGA, find our bags and wait in a long taxi line to sit in traffic in a cab we had to pay for our of pocket, and could not make the 5:45 flight. I then had to call AirCanada and wait for 15 minutes for the lady to switch us to the 7:30 flight. In all, we also lost 2 full hours in Athens."

Left 20 minutes late due to 14 people stuck in those lines. Airplane sat 1 hour and 15 minutes on tarmac at Laguardia waiting for a gate. We were behind other planes waiting for a gate too. Once out of plane, tough time getting up to the terminal as the terminal was so crowded. Will avoid Air Canada and Laguardia like the plague."

Cons: "I booked a flight for 8pm on Friday 7/29. Night of 7/28, I found out my plans changed and wanted to try and find an earlier flight. I called the help line and waited on hold for 1hour and 45min. The man I spoke with was able to move my flight to 12:50p for $200 change flight fee and $207 ticket difference. I arrive at the airport for this flight only to learn that the man last night moved my flight to the next day, Saturday 7/30. After over an hour of waiting and pleading, the check in attendant was able to get me back on my original flight and return the monies I paid for the seat change. However I had to wait at the airport for 8 hours until my flight, after wasting 2 hours on the phone and another hour at the check-in desk... 11hours total. THEN, they cancelled my 1:30pm return flight and could only get me on an 8pm flight, so another 8 hrs of waiting around. Customer service was terrible throughout. Will never fly this airline again"
