Leg room on small airplanes was good in economy, but not as good on larger jet to USA. The servers offered me ice in my water bc I am American. I appreciated that so much since I'd spent the last 12 days in Europe where no one serves with ice!"

Pros: "The Germans are known for their efficiency and Lufthansa followed through with that. From the check-in process to cabin service, all was top notch. As I was sitting near the front of economy, any "extra" economy plus meals were handed out as to avoid waste. I was the recipient of a delicious Caprese salad. A nice treat."

My wife has some physical challenges and received special treatment, in fact we were accorded priority in boarding as she had to temporarily use a wheel chair. Me and my daughter all enjoyed the privilege by association."

The entertainment options could have presented with more options, however, I was not upset with what I watched. The crew was very attentive, and the flight was smooth, overall."
Cons: "The temperature of the plane was very hot— there were a lot of us packed into this flight, and there were no sources of air.. so it got pretty stuffy. Between the temperature and the lights staying on for a majority of the flight, it was difficult to sleep, especially for so many hours. In addition to this, I had a dairy allergy, and was not able to eat either of the meals I was offered, because the fish and “veggie pasta” were both covered in cheese."

This caused a big problem for me in the airport, where I: 1- Wasn't allowed to catch my flight ti Vinnea and this was both financial and time lost for me. 2- I was locked in Dussluff airport for more than 14 hours, I was threatened to be sent back to USA or any other country. This caused physiological damage for me, as I been treated like an animal 3- I was asked to pay for my new ticket ( Dussloff - Istanbul-Amman )"

When I asked if I could upgrade to premium economy or even business it was a straight no without even looking in the system to see if their were open seats. The girl in front of me ate with her seat reclined which allowed me a whole inch of space to bring my food to my mouth. Terrible airline and terrible experience. Re booked on a different flight , that one was delayed with no new time , with a threat that that flight would be cancelled , we were booked on a 3rd flight , to Toronto to connect to a delta flight to Atlanta . We were told that delta would give us our boarding pass to Atlanta at the delta desk in Toronto. At delta in Toronto we were advised that there were no available seats on the flight we were supposed to be booked on . Delta booked us to Detroit then on to Atlanta . Trip delay was over 9 hours and lots of stress and run around . Very disappointed with west jet . We have always used west jet and this was the first time we felt we were given very poor service .causing a very long and stressful day , arriving at our destination 9 hours later than planned , resulting in a 24 hour exhausting travel day."

The staff are very good at informing customers to make sure they download the app before boarding. However because people generally suck and don't listen there is always someone complaining about not having the app on board afterwards."

Cons: "I remember reading that Aeroflot in Russia has better customer service than United Air Lines. Well, it was on full display today on our flight from LAX to Kona repleat with the veteran battle ax barking orders at passengers; “The Bathroom is by the blue curtaaaaaaiiiins!!!!!’ Poor victim seemed utterly humiliated. Seating is cramped, seats narrow and unsupportive and the old 757’s (c. 1997) entertainment system is ancient...the touch screens seemed unresponsive, but were in fact just slow...as 5-7 seconds would elapse between touching the screen and the command being implemented. A full re-boot was ordered about 30-45 minutes into the flight. As expected, there were some bumps in the air, but we welcommed them because it required the crew to sit down, freeing us of their ultra passive agressiveness."

Cons: "Flight was 4 hrs late arriving, therefore I missed my connection flight to Dallas. I had to spend the night at a cost of $200.00 at Holiday Inn, arrived 24 hrs later. Not United fault, weather related. This is my 3rd United flight that was delayed by hours. Get first flight out in morning, less chance for hours of delay."

Cons: "LAX now buses people to the planes. We stood on the bus for 45 minutes and then drove for 10 minutes on an active taxi way. The crew for united just does not seem motivated anymore on any flight. Even in first class we were offered water only 2 on a 5 hour flight. The crew just sat in the front and looked at their phones. The food made me sick for two days - so it is better to just not eat it and bring your own. It is sad as I united used to be a great airline and now they just seem to focus on what new fee they can charge."

Cons: "No food on a 7 hour flight?? That comes close to torture in my book. Crossing a huge ocean = food you don't have to pay for, in my book."

Pros: "The crew was friendly, and the flight time was an hour shorter than scheduled. But those are silver linings to real problems I encountered."
Cons: "This flight was actually from Denver to Kona. There was 1.5 hour delay due to mechanical issue with plane, so we had to switch gates and planes. That wasn't so bad. What made it bad was an extra 45 minute delay because apparently maintenance forgot to sign off on the new plane. Also, the space below the seat for my feet and carry-on was unacceptable. All the aisle seats like mine had only half the space of the window seats for their feet. If you're in an aisle seat on that plane, it's impossible to fit anything but the size of a small purse under the seat in front of you. And the middle seat fares only a bit better. Finally, with 7 hours of flight time plus about an hour waiting to depart from gate on plane, the crew ignorantly decided to hand out the Hawaii form to fill out within 2 minutes of preparing to land. Many people didn't have time to fill out the form before being required to put tray tables up. Fortunately, these forms aren't as serious as going thru customs, but it's stupid to pass out the forms that late into the flight expecting people to complete them."

I was miserable! They only had pizza for purchase which did NOT sound appetizing in that heat. It was a terribly long flight and I was so happy to land and get off!!"

We could not access our United account so we could not watch the movies, which was lame for a 5 hour flight. The food was also unpleasant as usual. You'd think a multimillion dollar airline could afford to feed people more than drinks and a cookie. What happened to the hospitality of the industry? If you came to my house for 5 hours and I gave you one cookie and a beverage maybe two you would think I was rude or down right cheap."

Cons: "If flying within the States we used United Airlines; a partner of Air Canada. The flight itinerary changed numerous times before our departure, including two days before we left. The change added an additional layover, and put us at our destination nearly 6 hours later than out original booking. This meant we lost a decent portion of the first day of our honeymoon. However, we were forced to stay an extra day when our return flight was cancelled. After spending 8 hours in the airport we were informed that our Monday flight was cancelled, and the next available flight would not be until Wednesday! United Airlines let us down on the way to our destination and on our trip home. Air Canada was great, but I dread having to use their partner United Airlines."

Cons: "The crew at the front desks and at the boarding area for my flight from Anchorage, AK, to the San Fran airport however, were extremely rude. The rating for the crew is a 2 because although my flight attendants were awesome, but the service given to me and to my fellow flyers by the Customer Service Agents/Reps at the front desk and the training of a newbie at the gate, when boarding at the Anchorage, Alaska, airport was terrible. They were extremely unprofessional and did not seem to care that the tones of their voices, their facial expressions, as well as their body language, showed that they lacked the manners and knowledge of compassion, respect and courtesy. Their rotten attitudes were insufficient at making the customers/guests of the airlines feel comfortable before flying. I did not appreciate being spoken to the way some of the reps did."

Cons: "2nd flight missed due to multiple flights from gate 130. No seats close to gate. Speakers not loud enough. Garbled speakers. To much background noise. Very confusing. Was able to rebook later flight but very inconvenient and not optimum."

Cons: "The flight attendant told me that I did not need to collect my bag in Toronto and that it would automatically be sent onward to Halifax. DO NOT BELIEVE THIS. All United passengers arriving in Canada MUST manually gather their luggage at baggage claim in Toronto and clear customs manually. ONLY Air Canada has this automatic option. Even if the United flight has an Air Canada code share United passengers MUST clear customs manually. How hard is this for flight attendants to understand?"

Pros: "I did not like anything .We had four hours of delay. They did not even have the curtesy of giving us something to eat."
Cons: "At Chicago they charged me # 25(dollars) for my bag that weighed Twenty Five pounds. Why? When I left D.C. I had the same bag with me in the plane. When I asked the people at the United Counter no body could give an answer."

Pros: "This was a last minute change of planes in an effort to finally get to Denver. SW cancelled two flights delaying my departure by three days. So I paid a huge amount for the one way fare, the flight did get delayed but it did get me there. Thank you United"

Pros: "United Staff very helpful. When initial flight was cancelled, attempts were made to book on anther flight. Unfortunately unsuccessful"

Cons: "My mother Vickie is hearing impaired. When her fist flight from Las Vegas to San Francisco changed terminals, she missed her flight. Not exactly something she would have been able to personally hear. Being that it was her 2nd time flying, ever, she didn't know to look for it until it was too late. Now her connecting flight from San Francisco to Anchorage has been delays to just shy of an hour. I wake up at 4am and thus is a HUGE burden on me as I'm a Dept Director at a Hospital and I need to be on my game at all times while at work."
