Pros: "the magazine selection prior to flight, bottle of water in front of each seat and crew were great, the pilot's landing was amazing! The seat in front of me had weird legs that made the room under the seat smaller than other seats around me. So you couldn't fit in the carryon fully under it as you could under the seat diagonally from me, however, this ended up being a huge plus since I could use the legs of this chair in front of me as stepping places to place my feet during flight. Since airline does not provide foot rest, it was great to have this to elevate the feet for a long flight. More considerations should be give to provide footrest or at least these kind of foot elevations."
Cons: "The dinner and breakfast were a bit disappointing, but not bad and not a deal breaker at all since the rest of the flight was wonderful. I noted comfort as ok, but that's applies to all airlines - the seats in economy and no footrest is very uncomfortable, but that's on all economy flights, so no deduction of points there. I do want to note that I needed a boarding pass at the gate and stood in line for quite a while (I was first in line) before I was even acknowledged by a lady who ended up helping me eventually. But she was so cranky! (there were 2 ladies - one busy helping the crew and putting around barrier - she was fine, the other with a head covering (putting this hear just to distinguish the ladies as one was doing a great job)- not sure what she was doing, but she plainly ignored me standing at the desk in front of her, I didn't say anything, just patiently waited until she acknowledged me, and then she printed the boarding pass for me, but she was way to cranky to be in the job that she is in - no need for that kind of attitude."

Cons: "Pretty big delay before departure, ended up in very stressful conditions for the rest of the trip. It became pretty obvious that we were cutting very close to the boarding time for our next flight (arrival scheduled for 4:05 pm and our flight to Chicago barding on 4:20 pm). One of the flight attendants kindly offered us to move up to the front seats of the plane on the last 15 minutes of the flight (with our luggage) so that we can exit as soon as possible. We moved (per his suggestions) and we were treated rudely by the young lady attendant of the Business Class. We explained that we moved after the suggestion of their other flying attendant. She called her supervisor on us, who in return, rudely, arrogantly and loudly started to berate us on how we "dared" to move ourselves to the Business class. After explaining the whole story again and showing her the tickets, she allowed us to stay to those seats for the last 10 minutes of the flight. We asked if an airport cart could be called to transfer us to the next gate, and they said no. We asked for information on the gate for Chicago and they did not provide one. Unfortunately, the plane landed very far from the gates. We had to enter the airport bus, which traveled for about 15 minutes before we got on a gate. There, we faced about 35 minutes of passport procedures and waiting lines. At that point, 5 minutes before our plane for Chicago was supposed to take off, we asked the passport pre-check officer what we should do (we assumed we would be missing the plane at that point) and he told us very rudely "When you REALLY miss your plane, then come back and ask me"!!!!!!!!! Then we passed through passport check and we were told to run to our gate (which by that time was no longer showing on the computer screen, and we knew about the changed number, ONLY because KAYAK sent the update to us-THANK YOU!!!). We ran for about 12 minutes. We arrived at our gate late by about 25 minutes after our flight was supposed to leave. There we were asked why we were running and when we told the guy who screened our boarding passes he responded "Well, running is good for your health..."!!!!! At that point I would have liked to give him a piece of my mind...We were told by the same guy that due to airport security issues, Frankfurt airport had so many delays in the last couple of weeks that planes know to wait for the late passengers. Couldn't someone have told us that before? We have NEVER been treated so poorly by an airline and we will NOT fly with them again. The LUFTHANSA customer service was terrible. We have not encountered such arrogance and lack of information for many years...Shame on them! AND we were not the only Americans running. There were families with little children and older people, etc etc, just because the Lufthansa attendants and ground crew did not feel like giving us the information we needed!!!"

Cons: "The scheduling of the in flight events made no sense. The cabin was dimmed for take off (logical, given that it was a red-eye). However, once we were at altitude, the lights were put back on to serve dinner. Several people were woken up by this and it took like 1.5 hrs because its a big plane. Also, it was like 9-10pm local time by this point so dinner made no sense! Then the lights were dimmed and people tried to sleep. The lights were turned on 1.5 hrs prior to landing to serve a light breakfast. So, 6.5 hr red-eye turned into about 3.5 hrs of actual sleeping time. I would've preferred to be left alone and given a bigger breakfast."

Cons: "Boarding was unorganized, nobody knew what was going on, but the biggest disappointment is there were no movies there are no video screens on the entire plane so unless you bring your own device and have pre-downloaded Air Canada app there are no entertainment options at all! Who ever heard of a transatlantic flight that didn't have a movie? Make sure you download the app so you can at least watch the movies on your tiny screen."

Pros: "I loved how the entertainment was complimentary and there was a wide selection of movies, TV shows and music. I’m used to having one or maybe two movies to choose from but TAP has an entire movie library on the back of each seat. I watched 3 new releases on my 7.5 hour flight. The food was also tasty and I technically had two meals. Great job, TAP!"
Cons: "The only thing that could be improved is the boarding process in the Lisbon airport. The boarding time for the flight was one hour before takeoff and the gate area was too small to hold the total number of people taking the flight. We also didn’t board until 30 min before the flight so passengers were waiting in one big crowd because it was impossible to find a seat or to even form clear lines for boarding."

I have flown on many airlines, but these planes were by far the worst. Cheap price, for a reason. The seats didn’t recline, the food was terrible, no options were given for food, and the movies were pre-picked. No one had a choice in what they watched. Very outdated. I had 2.5 hours to board my connecting flight and they caused me to miss it. As I waited in the customs line entering Lisbon, I asked a TAP representative if I’d have to get out of the line up and go right through as my flight left at 2:10 pm. They said you will make it, stay in line. I get near the front of the line 2 hours later... hundreds of people were in this line and they only had 2/10 customs agents available!!! I ask another representative how far my gate is since my flight leaves in 30 min and she told me “no you missed it. but don’t worry others will be missing it too”. So no I did not miss it, you caused me to miss it cause I already asked if I would and you people told me no. I run to the gate, which has now changed to the other end of the airport, so I run to that gate and it is 10 min before the flight is to take off. I ask the desk agent at the gate and he tells me the flight has already left. Others had missed it too due to the insane customs line up. So the plane left 20 mins earlier than scheduled with only half it’s passengers..... unbelievable!!! When I went to the service desk they did not show any sympathy or apologetic behaviours whatsoever."

After booking my flight on kayak I called TAP customer service just to make sure that everything was fine .I asked them about luggage they said I had 2 free and a carry on when I got to the airport said I had to pay for the 2 i said no told them that i called TAP they didn't wanna hear it i asked for the manager she I am the manager and you bought a discounted ticket and there's no luggage with this ticket only acarry on in a mean way if you want the you have to pay $90 for each I tried to call TAP can't get through them when they finally got through them the guy confirmed that I ve called it on the records but it said now it's too late to do anything I am already at the airport that I have to pay and contact them later. I wasted good hour and a half on this and I had to pay $180. After all that at the boarding gate they announced that they will call by zone .they called especial need called frequent flyers zone A never called zone B all they said last minute was this is the final call for flight #.... and I was right in front of them and guess who were the people making the announcement yep the same people at the check in counter"

Cons: "I didn't like that first class was checked in first at the counter. But everyone rode on the same bus and disembarked at the same time so first class didn't really board the plane first. Some of the TAP counter employees were very unhelpful & actually dismissive. We had gate 19 and there was no sign of activity when it was time to board. When asked some counter employees, they couldn't care less. You should post something at the gate assigned about a gate change or delay. A lot of passengers were confused and uninformed."

Cons: "The Lisbon airport is very difficult to navigate; signage is poor, and there are not enough staff on the ground. The waiting lines for TAP check-in are outrageous. TAP policy states they allow choosing a seat starting 36 hours of departure, but the poorly designed website let me book seats, and then asked me to pay; at the airport they also told me I had to pay on check-in to choose a seat. Worst of all, at the gate, the waiting area forces all passengers to wait while standing in a big herd - an hour - while police spot check random passenger carry-ons and perform body checks."

We had a connecting flight to AMS with also TAP and had a two hour window to make the next flight with the same company (TAP). We were in line for passport and then security and talked to several TAP employees and they said we would be have time and wouldn't have a problem catching the second flight. Well, we got through the lines with 30 min before our next flight and they wouldn't let us on. Customer service and organization of the airline is really poor. The aircraft had minimal room and no entertainment. We got on our next flight five hours later and all they gave us was a $10 food voucher. So poorly managed."

Pros: "The staff was very efficient and friendly. The cabin space seemed very tight compared to our flight to our destination. There was no entertainment as their system was down. It made the three hour flight cramped AND boring. There were no where near enough seats in the waiting room at the boarding area. Many adults sitting on floor with their families and lots of elderly having to stand."

Cons: "Missed connection because of their computer issues. The hotel they arranged for us was a 30minute drive from airport. We passed 50 hotel alternatives on the way. Nobody greeted us at the gate to explain our options. My luggage never arrived"

Cons: "I believe that Air Canada had actually over booked the flight. When I checked in for my flight online, I didn't have a seat assigned. This made my entire night before and morning of the flight very uncomfortable as I was worried the entire time that I wouldn't get to work because of this."

Pros: "This flight ended up arriving at the final destination a day later instead of first thing in morning last thing at night."

Cons: "Our first flight was cancelled 15 minutes before scheduled take-off. upon being bumped to another flight two hours later, that flight was delayed two hours after an issue during take-off. We remained on the plane while mechanic/engineering staff rectified the problem. We booked a flight to save time on driving. We would have arrived earlier had we drove. I understand things happen, but the airline eneds to take responsibility and show some good customer service. Aside from the pilot, no apology given, no reimbursement offered. Disappinting. Air Canada is now a last-resort option for a frequent flyer like myself."

Cons: "Almost a 3 hour delay which made me miss the ferry that I pre-booked and is not refundable (over a $100 ticket). Have to pay for flight food which is unacceptable. Okay leg room but very tight at the shoulders. I've flown on much better."

Pros: "The fact that there is a way to have on board entertainment but this was clitchy. Hot snack was welcome. Pillows and blankets. Direct flight from Casa."
Cons: "Rude and filthy airline hostess. Having greasy hair and being rude is totally unprofessional. Requesting that a sleeping passenger bring their chair to upright position so that the passenger behind can have a snack? It doesn't make sense.This flight was not full at all and we were strongly urged to check our carry-on due to this. Well they didn't apparently see the fragile sticker as our latern and ceramics were damaged and the bag came out on the main conveyor. Also the door wouldn't open for baggage upon arrival so we were delayed an hour?"

Cons: "It bothers me a little we have to pay for snacks on the plane. Meals and alcohol I understand. I also miss TVs. I had one flight on my way to Florida where I could watch movies. Need more of that."

Cons: "I had a drink spilled on me with no apology, the staff was super duper rude, the flight did not take off on time and was late getting to the connecting airport. all around it was a total mess"

Pros: "Nothing - they were immature, unprofessional, nervous, unhelpful, and visibly shaken by relatively side problems."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for hours but not technically cancelled, which the ground crew blamed upon the flight crew and vice versa. The failure to cancel caused us to be unable to rebook, and subsequent avoidable delays arising from Air Canada's ineptitude caused us to be two,days late for arrival. The problem was solvable with some simple rebooking, but the ground,crew failed to assist, then the flight crew, when we finally left five hours late, was Impersonable, unhelpful, uninformed, and utterly unprepared. It was a terrible, second rate, poor quality experience and I would not recommend Air Canada to anyone. Your airline needs serious training in Professionalism and responsiveness."

Cons: "Flight was delayed and crew didn't accommodate a rebooking despite availability .. Although original flight did board soon after."

Cons: "There were no screens to watch anything on for a flight across the Atlantic. And we were told once we boarded that we needed to download the aircanada app in order to get content. Well by that time I didn't have free wifi and couldn't download the app. Very frustrating. I would suggest announcing this before people board the flight."

Cons: "At the rome airport, Air Canada closed their bag drops area 1 hour and 20 mins before the flight. We missed our flight because of this. No one in that airport works for Air Canada, I had to call customer service in the US and wait 35 mins before somebody pick up the phone. Air canada hire a local italian company at the airport to do the check in, but they do not care and close the counter way earlier. We were 7 people in the same situation."

Cons: "The flights were booked much too close together to get through Customs in Canada. If we had arrived on time we would have had only 1 hour and a half to make it to our next flight. However, our flight was late leaving Dublin. It was extremely stressful and we had to literally run through the airport to try to get through customs and to our next gate. if that flight hadn't also been delayed, there was no way would have made it"
