Pros: "efficient crew"

Pros: "Ran on time. Bags came out in a timely manner."

Cons: "Can't rate this because I missed my connecting flight from LAX to SJC due to a Westjet mechanical issue."

Cons: "The plane was so cold that despite wearing jeans, a shirt, a sweatshirt and a jacket I was barely comfortable. Explanation from crew? Well, it was very hot in Phoenix so we had the AC jacked up. But at 35,000 feet that's no longer a problem, right? Neither is is necessary in 68-degree F Calgary."

Pros: "Entertainment was excellent"
Cons: "The airport staff was horrendous."

Pros: "Yes"

Pros: "The flight left on time and the crew were pleasant and efficient. Best of all, we had ample legroom in our economy seats. Much appreciated!"
Cons: "While we were waiting to board, we heard an announcement by American Airlines, allowing currently serving military members and their families to board with the VIPs. I think that is wonderful idea!"

Cons: "Seats were a very strange shape. They forced me to sit in a hunchback position the entire time. next to no leg room. A very tight uncomfortable space. The three hour flight was about the most I would have been able to handle. Worst seats I’ve seen in a while."

Pros: "Very nice crew, good snack and drinks."
Cons: "LGA, the start was delay because of traffic jam...we spent 1 hr in the plane taxing."

Pros: "Arriving early!"
Cons: "Taking off late."

Cons: "The flight was continuously delayed. The crew was not helpful in helping people with connections."

Pros: "Price"

Pros: "Crew was nice enough and there was more leg room than on some flights I've been on."
Cons: "The power outlets didn't work and it was a long flight so my phone died and there was 0 entertainment provided, made for a long, boring flight. Ended up trying to sleep most of the time and missed the food service. The plane was also weirdly cold."

Cons: "Luggage left behind due to a troubled fire alarm system in the baggage dept of the plane This maintenance issue delayed us 4 hours The ground crew had to push one of their loading tractors out from under the plane after unloading the luggage. Perhaps the PEI airport crew are lacking in maintenance procedures. It's always a little things that get you into trouble and cost lives."

Pros: "Airport staff went above and beyond to get my mother through the airport. We had a tight transfer and they helped us make it to the gate on time."
Cons: "There was no time to eat. Nothing other than snacks. The time allotted was *barely* sufficient to get from gate to gate. We were starving when we got to our destination."

Pros: "We upgraded to Plus when we checked in and it was totally worth it. Extra space, food, drink. It was great!"

Pros: "Flight only took about 2&1/2 hours! Crew was humorous and very sweet. Got in early thank goodness or May have missed connection. Our baggage was checked through to the final destination which was great. No problems with reservations or baggage."
Cons: "Boarding seemed painfully slow. Download the WestJet app in advance if you like to watch movies or TV shows on your mobile device! I had a very tight connection to next flight and had to make it through immigration and to a far-away gate in leas than one hour. To make it worse we had to wait about 10 minutes for a customs agent to arrive so they could begin unloading the luggage and let us go through customs."

Pros: "Flight attendants were very pleasant."
Cons: "I think for a flight of that duration a light meal should be served."

Cons: "Economy too cramped."

Pros: "On time, smooth boarding."
Cons: "Screaming baby most of way but not airlines fault."

Pros: "Upgraded to Plus - it was great."
Cons: "Too bad we have to pay extra for Plus to get a reasonable amount of room."

Pros: "Plane, stewardesses on the plane"
Cons: "Where to start. Booked a higher priced ticket as layover was minimal. Westjet later emails, saying layover is now 7 hours?!?! We booked a connector with air canada with only a 2hr layover. We decided to keep the checked bags on the Westjet later connector to be less hassle. Westjet agents at airport did not mention that you cannot do that. So it wasn’t until we arrived at the layover point, we were told we had to pull the bags and re-check them in with Air Canada, go through the whole rigamarile of checkin, baggage check, and security. Not something you want to deal with when you are at the tail end of a red-eye flight. So thumbs down. In Westjet’s defense, they did give me a 200 dollar credit toward a future flight when I kicked up a fuss about the change to a 7-hour layover."

Cons: "Flight delayed 2 hours, missed connectionplus an hour on the tarmac"

Pros: "The basics were all up to standard, the flight was very full and because it's such a long flight it is expected to have a few discomforts from time to time..."
Cons: "TURN DOWN THE VOLUME on the announcements, it was so loud I could feel the book I was holding in my hands literally vibrating. I had to plug my ears to tolerate the blasts over the PA. I requested the volume be turned down repeatedly but it was never changed... from London to Calgary. More frequent offers for food/beverage would be appreciated, there were only two rounds made for the entire flight of almost 9hrs. It's just nice to have a bit more flexibility..."

Pros: "My flight got cancelled many times due to the weather condition. I’m happy that west Jet keep sending me the updated flight. And when I have to call and speak to someone, my calls got answered within 15 minutes. I’m happy with the service over all. Thank you."

Cons: "the 40 minute delay in toronto.not so bad in middle of day but when the delay means we get home at 1:00am this is not so good"

Pros: "Very kind and patient with seniors using wheelchair assist. She will only travel WJ when possible! Thank you."

Cons: "Even though it was the first flight of the day, WestJet still left an hour late which meant I missed my connecting flight. That meant I also had to rebook my ground transportation an additional cost. Why they couldn't manage to get the first flight of the day out on time, I don't know. This stuff happens, and I am generally a patient and understanding person. That said, WestJet not only caused inconvenience and added expense, the airline had absolutely destroyed my snowboard bag. It was damaged so badly that I had to tape it up just so I could get out of the airport without losing my stuff everywhere. The WestJet employees didn't say anything about the damage, and clearly hoped I would just go away without making a claim. To make matters worse, they only pay part of the cost to replace my luggage."

Pros: "The destination is great"
Cons: "I missed my tee off time as we ended up being late and I could not get to my resort and then to course"

Pros: "Got a window seat Good deal on price from kayak"
Cons: "Delayed by 2 hrs Lost my luggage and no word on when it will be returned Never told us about why delayed"

Pros: "Cheap flights"
Cons: "My bag handles were completely destroyed by the making it really hard to navigate a large airport without a handle to wheel my bags ."

Cons: "Rude Hostess"

Pros: "Fantastic flight!"

Pros: "As always, the staff and crew were great. Left on time, arrived on time they go their best to deal with the shortcomings of the company."
Cons: "The entertainment system (or lack thereof...) not nearly enough iPads to rent and it never works on laptops."

Pros: "Crew was great"
Cons: "Who decided that seats should be shaped that way? Always gives me a backache."

Pros: "It was overall ok , but over all disappointing that west jest became such a budget airline."
Cons: "I’m disappointed that west jet became such a budget airline, it used to be my favourite. Now there’s no monitors, you got to use up your own power from devices. I prefer to save my battery when travelling."

Cons: "plane just stood and everyone just sat on the plane for a solid hour an a half. I almost missed my connecting flight with another airline."

Cons: "Flight delayed for more than an hour after boarding for a very stupid reason that the garbage bags have not been collected by the service guys and captain had no relevant answer to it.whereas the plane was their at airport standing for hours before boarding."

Pros: "The view of the ocean and all the lakes and ponds coming into St. John's."
Cons: "You don't have any good connections from New Brunswick to St. John's."

Cons: "Flight was late and kept getting later as the day wore on. Nobody seemed to know how late we were ultimately going to be and why. Missed my meeting."

Cons: "There were so many delays"

Pros: "I made it sure my destination safely."
Cons: "When I drove up Toronto’s Pearson Airport, I expected the usual check-in process upon entry for my flight from Toronto to Warsaw (with connecting flights in Halifax and Frankfurt). However, my first surprise, despite me asking ahead of time, was that my small check-in bag would could $100 CDN instead of the $25.00 I was quoted. Despite the WestJest/Condor representatives best effort, I was told that I would, unfortunately, have to pay for the baggage despite the quote I was given. I paid the fee, was given tracking numbers, and asked for my boarding passes. I found it odd that my final flight from Frankfurt to Warsaw did not print out. I asked if this would be a problem for me and my bags arriving on timed, and I was told it would not be, as it is sometimes the case that passengers have to print out boarding passes at the next stop. I flew to Halifax and asked for a boarding pass from Frankfut to Warsaw (which I was told was still a Condor plane), and it was printed for me. Upon arriving in Frankfurt and waiting patiently, something inside caused me to ask about the status of my bags. To my utter shock, and the genuine honesty of my Condor representative in Germany, I was told that my next flight would actually be LOT (Polish Airlines) flight, and that my bags needed to be picked up from baggage claim and checked into my LOT flight. With less than 10 minutes left before boarding and the suggestion of an honest Condor official I was told not to bother trying to go to baggage claim and fill out a missing/delayed baggage claim at LOTs station in Warsaw Chopin Airport. At no point, despite my asking, was I ever informed about having to re-check bags I paid $100.00 to check-in. Moreover, at no point was I told that, on my flights from Toronto to Frankfurt, that everything from simple entertainment to food would cost significantly high cost (in Euros) to purchase. Be aware of these issues fellow travelers, and make sure you pay for food and entertainment (ahead of time) and make sure ALL your bags will be on WestJet/Condor planes or they will NOT be transferred!"

Cons: "We flew from Toronto - Abbotsford with a stop in Edmonton. There was a 1 hour layover in Edmonton before the Edmonton - Abbotsford flight left. Unfortunately, the plane arrived in Edmonton 30 minutes late, and rather than wait 5 minutes for the passengers to disembark from the Toronto plane and board the Abbotsford plane, WestJet decided to leave all those passengers behind. There were no other flights available until the evening, and we were stuck for 8 hours at the Edmonton Airport before we were finally given a flight to Abbotsford. Never again will I book with WestJet."

Pros: "West Jet left on time. ."
Cons: "A 4 1/2 hour flight turned into close to 5 hours. Considering that a person has to be there well ahead of time, go through customs etc. a cup of coffee and 2 cookies and no entertainment anymore, it's a long and boring flight ."

Pros: "Friendly flight attendant"
Cons: "For a flight that lasted close to five hours it seemed a long boring flight."

Pros: "Personable and professional staff. Great service"

Pros: "I had a 5 month old baby and the crew was super smiley and friendly. Also, the flight wasn't full so there was plenty of room. I really enjoyed my experience. Thank you Westjet!"

Pros: "service"
Cons: "There is none."

Pros: "the crew are always great. the flight was on time and fast!"
Cons: "the whole "put your own tags on the bags and load them". we spent 5-10 minutes trying to figure it out. There was someone that came over to assist us and it was still not user friendly. there were not in flight television system. I guess I am spoiled now."

Pros: "We were boarding with one person in a wheelchair. They were extremely helpful and understanding."
Cons: "All was perfect"

Cons: "We paid $100 per person to choose our seats in advance and then when we boarded we had been bumped to a different location and my wife and I were sitting across the aisle from each other, unable to share a tablet to watch movies. The cabin crew was not helpful at all so we traded seats with another passenger who had also been bumped from his preferred seat. The entertainment system didn't work for an 11 hour flight.. are you kidding. We pressed the call button to see if it was just our inability to sign in but no crew member came. After 15 minutes the call light went off so we pushed it again, but the light was still on an hour later. We asked about it during the meal service and were very rudely dismissed. Long after meal service was finished we asked one more time to see if anything had changed and the crew member brought us a tablet to use that was loaded with movies. I'm not sure why they didn't do that earlier. Then 50 minutes before landing they literally pulled it out of our hands to store it away."

Pros: "Slightly frayed due to weather- we were kept up to date"

Cons: "Overhead bins were tiny."

Pros: "The plane was clean and seemed very new. The boarding process was streamlined in an organized way. The entertainment system was okay."
Cons: "The plane was a huge B787 Dreamliner and the airline didn't allot enough boarding time to accommodate the hundreds of passengers that needed to get on and settle in. Because of this, the flight was delayed by almost an hour and many people missed their transfers. It seemed like an unreasonable lack of foresight to schedule only the standard half hour before takeoff to board ~300 passengers. On top of that, the flight was roughly four hours long (five with the delay) and no complementary food, even a small snack or two, was offered. The seats in coach were made to be decently comfortable padding-wise, but I felt more packed in like a sardine with the people next to me than on other planes. The flight attendants seemed extremely stressed and overworked, and I couldn't blame them."

Cons: "Air Canada changed this flight to a red eye. And didn't let us know until months later by then we had booked our accommodation they don't allow refunds so we had to go regardless. But let me tell you we would have cancelled if possible"

Pros: "The seating was good and the pilot was friendly."
Cons: "There was not a good movie selection and there was not a lot of information regarding the altitude and there was not very much warning during turbulence."

Cons: "crew was rude and unhelpful with delayed flight"

Cons: "Flight left two hours late and provided difficulty in Toronto"

Cons: "My direct flight was cancelled and rebooked with a connecting flight."

Pros: "I liked how the crew was helpful and wanted to help everyone with their luggage. they didn’t disturb me in my sleep and didn’t walked around a lot. The flight timing was on time and it landed on time as well so that was very satisfying."
Cons: "I didn’t like the sitting of the airplane. It looks more like sitting in a local bus and its not very spacious. On an average these days most people in Canada are tall and above the height of 5’7 feet. I didn’t like how seats are small and have less space for legs and plus the next person to me keep disturbing me cuz he was as tall as me and we both hardly fit in the seat. I am only 6 feet and slim and still had issues. I mean for domestic flight that’s only two hours I can manage sitting in a uncomfortable position but if it was a long flight then i would definitely not be happy and won’t fly with Air Canada again."

Pros: "Walking past the Turkish Airlines desk in Dulles and knowing I would NEVER have to interact with these monsters again."
Cons: "I am an experienced traveler. I've been to 17 countries and have flown over a million miles in both business and coach. My wife encountered a problem in Istanbul that involved an airport transit visa through Canada. I am certain that any other airline we’ve ever flown would’ve assisted us, since it was easily resolved. To Turkish Airlines, this is simply a part of their business model and a chance to make more money. It took about 8 hours of our time at 5 different airport locations to eventually buy new tickets to get back the next day. Our original tickets say: “REISSUE With 200.00 USD penalty. What I didn’t see was the fine print at the bottom: “Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change rules regarding ticket changes and refunds.”. They mean it. As bad as our personal experience was, the real reason we are so appalled is that we were there long enough to see this is the norm for them. In our single day there, we saw at least 100 other travelers going through similar things. The ONLY solution ever offered is to purchase another ticket. We witnessed several people weeping. Many losing control and shouting. Their own personnel were screaming at customers (in a separate office area though, it was all yucks and laughing). These were people of all nationalities. Africans, Asians, Europeans. We were lucky because we had the means to purchase new tickets. Others clearly didn’t. I really don’t know what happened to some of them. One moment was very symbolic of the entire experience. Another vanquished traveler was paying $843 for a new ticket with cash. He handed her $845 but she, of course, had no change. Instead of the $5, he gave her two $1 bills. I had one in my pocket so gave it to her as well. She held my $1 bill up and pointed to the corner which had a very small piece torn off…no ink was missing…and sneered “I can’t accept this. She did this simply because she could. We were powerless. She knew it and reveled in it."

Pros: "flight attendants were very nice"
Cons: "not even peanuts! seats seemed even more crammed together than usual"

Pros: "The best flight I ever had. Seat 1h is the best!!"

Pros: "No wasted time, they load you up and get you where you want to be."
Cons: "Be sure to gate check anything larger than a small backpack or purse. There is little room on board for carry-on's"

Cons: "Delayed, missed connection"

Pros: "plenty of room, media player, wifi, nice selection of snacks and meals."

Pros: "Direct flight saved time."

Cons: "I was held back for 'random' security check. Security lost my boarding pass and didn't care. Only found it because my friend asked them to check a table where they had put it. They didn't apologize for any inconvenience and instead security chief kept asking more questions. Truly atrocious customer service."

Cons: "One hour late"

Pros: "Inexpensive flight, good connections, decent food, and professional and friendly flight attendants and service."

Cons: "Flight was delayed"

Cons: "The flight was late."

Cons: "No power outlets in coach. On a 10 hour flight you would hope the airline could afford to let people charge their phones. Food was ok but not great."

Pros: "Staff were good, probably doing the best they could with what they had to work with."
Cons: "I'm 6'4" and a Air Canada Rouge 737 isn't built for guys/girls like me. Give us a bit more legroom!"

Pros: "A few turbulents just before landing but great flight crew."

Cons: "Many of us were refused boarding on the connecting flight. They gave away our seats. I arrived at the transvfer counter50 minutes prior to the flight. I was first. Gave excuse that bag must go with me. Customs confirmed that this is AC not customs. To add insult, they flight to Montreal was late, the flight to Boston was late, and finally my bag NEVER was on either flight so there excuse was an out right lie. I missed half the weekend home in over a month. AC doesn't value my time and I don't value their service. Every time I go back to this airline I realized why I left. Going to Asia; don't get suckered into using this route. BTW a friend on PVG-YUL-BOS never made it as well. AC still using a CRJ200 that can't land in weather. NOT A BUSINESS CLASS EXPERIENCE."

Pros: "Comfort, on time, friendly staff"
Cons: "There was no USB port or an outlet on my seat to charge my cellphone."

Pros: "I changed my booking from MSY to IAH due to I don't have transit visa to Tranto . Any how my trip was excellent"
Cons: "Every thing was great"

Pros: "All was well. Thanks"

Pros: "Better than driving 19.5 hours home comfort wise but much more expensive for 4 people. Would have driven if our stay was more than 10 days."
Cons: "- Overhead storage was occupied by someone else sitting in a seat rows away so I had to store my carry on under the seat in front of me reducing my leg room even more than the cramped seat."

Cons: "Not aconfortable plane"

Pros: "Comfort of the flight."
Cons: "Food was too spicy and had too much salt. Food quality needs improvement. Asked crew about the name of a food item and they didn't know."

Pros: "Boarding process was good"
Cons: "No free snacks offered"

Pros: "Short enough flight."
Cons: "Entirely too little leg-room. Crew kept banging my elbow and knee with food cart-didn't really care either."

Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."
Cons: "I paid extra for a seat to ensure leg room, all I got was ear ache! The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"

Pros: "Seats are comfortable and I had plenty of leg room."
Cons: "No snacks offered with drink. Boarding wasn't well organized. Toronto airport is horrible... long lines at customs and security caused me to miss my connection for the second time in a row."

Pros: "Personnel were friendly aircraft was clean"
Cons: "NA"

Pros: "Air canada needs a serious serious overhaul of the way they treat their customers especially those working at the Toronto airport I find their employees have an "entitlement" mentality that other carriers do not Customer service seems to be a priority not talking to your coworkers about the weekend while serving your customers"
Cons: "There was one employee who suggested to take an earlier flight and was very helpful Little things go along way"

Cons: "Staff was rude. And I was seated next to an alchoholic"

Cons: "The gate signage and control at Toronto was not good at all! I accidentally got onto the wrong plane!!! Luckily I didn't fall asleep immediately and heard them announce prior to takeoff that they were going to Nashville, and also luckily the Syracuse plane had not taken off yet either."

Pros: "Boeing 767 is a great aircraft in every way!"
Cons: "A shame to connect in Toronto!"

Pros: "All of our luggage arrived at our destination in a timely manner. Staff was helpful."
Cons: "Checking in our suitcase took exceptionally long."

Pros: "Smooth boarding. Polite staff."
Cons: "Check-in person did not attach priority tag to luggage (business class) until i argued with her. This is the second time Air Canada has done this. We paid a lot extra for this service and should not have to quibble with staff in order to receive it. There was no lounge in Charlottetown, but that's not the airline's fault. However, the Air Canada lounge at Pearson was shabby and poorly outfitted. Shameful."

Pros: "Extra leg room even though I had to pay extra for it."
Cons: "Long wait at the Claims Dept. because my luggage was broken."

Pros: "A very typical flight."
Cons: "No complaints."

Pros: "Lots of leg room. Friendly and helpful staff. Smooth flight and comfortable seats."
Cons: "We didn't like all the walking to get to and from the plane in Terminal 2, Heathrow. Anywhere else in the world would transport people by bus if it was going to be a twenty minute walk to the departure gate."

Pros: "The flight crew was pleasant and helpful, providing water throughout the flight."
Cons: "AirCanada did not schedule a long enough connection in Montreal. Procedures were not explained well, either. I had to run to my gate to make my connection because it took over an hour for my checked luggage to be approved so that I could go through Customs. I was not the only person who experienced this problem. Several people on my flight missed their connection, and several still waiting when I left were in danger of missing their connection. I have flown on other airlines through other cities internationally and never experienced this type of issue."

Pros: "Every thing was on time. I really like booking with kayak...so simple"
Cons: "Air canada doesn't give a snack with your drink...where as west jet does."

Pros: "Food was fine, staff was professional, flight was quite."
Cons: "The lavatories were unacceptably filthy. There was a puddle on the floor in one of them: Disgusting!"
