Cons: "1. I am not sure if your crew members could speak English or not. I didn’t understand what they were talking about or what was happening. 2. The plane took off under extreme thunderstorm. I am not sure if this was safe to do so but the plane was extremely bumpy, going down rapidly for about 30 minutes. The whole cabin was then in chaos. People started turning up, crying and writing last words. However, your crew members GAVE NO INSTRUCTIONS, BROADCASTING OR UPDATES ON WHATS GOING ON. What they did was mocking around with each other in Cantonese. 3. This would be my last time travel with you - I was your loyal customer since student time. But after this awful experience I chose not to go with you anymore."

Cons: "My tv screen did not work well. There was a man behind me coughing all 15 hours. I would think that the flight crew would advise him to cover his mouth when coughing or offer him warm tea. Plane was dirty. No ports to charge electronics. Very outdated plane."

Cons: "Online check in was not possible and when asking for extra leg room at the gate options were limited. I was told I would be on an exit row and window. However, I was one seat forward of that. It was technically a window seat if you don't count the jump seat for the crew... To top it off, a red eye flight with a seat that does not recline is no good. I do understand that being 6'5" causes air travel to be more difficult. It just seems that some airlines are more accommodating than others."

Everybody does'nt know what to do. No one can exactly give us the way and right thing to do. No anwers to our questions. We were hungry and no way of getting in touch with our family members because airport wifi does'nt work for us. We were ask to go here and there without explanation and the hotel given does'nt deserve to.be even a 1star..a better than nothing hotel. Tired, hungry and very exhausted . No words can describe our frustrations. We deserve a refund if not at least a compensation for that very bad service experienced on that flight of Air China 880."

Cons: "The Seats were OK and the legroom was pretty bgood for economy, but the extra headrests on the larger Heatthrow/beijing aircraft came in at about shoulderblade height and made finding a truly comfortable position impossible. Definitely one to look at the price step ups for better seats in future."

Pros: "The style of the pillows and blankets were nice. The pillows were really comfortable and a good size. The taste of the food was okay. I honestly expected a horrible experience, it was not fantastic but it was better than what I anticipated."
Cons: "The sealed blanket had white hair as if from an older person. Although I liked the pillow, on my return flight I used it to sleep, I used it for my back the entire time going, when I got home I noticed I was developing a sty on my eyelid. My companions noticed that the sometimes when he received his food it was still cold in some parts. On my return flight there were a few times my row was skipped for drinks. On my return flight the stewardess seemed hesitant when I asked for an additional drink. I ordered tea and asked for water. The gate agent in Beijing was extremely rude and unhelpful, she ignored us and even tossed our ticket back at us when we tried to ask about our seats for the flight."

Cons: "The international flight delayed 30 min, so will miss the 4pm connected flight, but air china didn’t put us in the connected flight right after the 4pm flight, which was the 6pm flight, instead they assigned us to the 8pm one and made the overall delay 4 hours. This is not nice."

The food was dreadful and the portions were skimpy. The major food groups were white bread and white rice. The entertainment console was supposed to operate by touch but was unresponsive. The movies were 90 percent Chinese. I won't fly Air China again."

Pros: "The plane is a major upgrade from any air china flight I've taken using economy! The screens are in full HD and every seat included a charging station for both USB and and regular plugs. The staff was very friendly and kind and they served two meals on the flight. I also appreciated how the crew would frequently bring water down the aisles but also gave you the option to get up and grab it yourself."

Pros: "Overall the service of the flight crew was good, seats were comparable to other economy class flights on other airlines. Boarding was easy, and meals were good and served at appropriate times."
Cons: "Our connecting flight between Beijing and another city in China was cancelled, there was no Air China staff at our airport in the US to handle the rescheduling (the check-in counter staff actually worked for another airline) and so we could only try to reschedule when we got to Beijing airport. There was a staff member at the gate to give us directions to the general check-in area, but then once we got to the area there were no signs directing us where to go. We were waiting in line for half an hour before I learned that we were supposed to be in a different line to first reschedule our flights (a 40minute wait), then wait in the line we were originally in to check-in (yet another 40minutes in line). This on top of waiting more than 1 hour in the customs line. Staff at the airport counters in China were brusque, and they seemed understaffed as the lines were often very long. On the flight, the touch screen entertainment system as buggy and would sometimes freeze, although the selection of entertainment was decent."
