The problem was never fixed and we haven’t flown home yet. We have new flights booked on Delta but only because Delta took pity....West Jet does no refunds or reticketing. The crew always seems to be bothered to serve the customer. There is also a big difference between services going straight to Santiago on the 787 and to Peru on the 767. I understand the plan (767) is older and that does not bother me. What bothers me is the disparity in service between the two. I received great service the first time I traveled on LATAM, ever since then they have disappointed. I do not understand what is going on with them."

People pushing, standing right next to you, when you get on the plane all the old women who do not know how to read always walk to the back of the plane when they're supposed to be sitting in seat 7? What makes this particular flight so unbelievable, and maybe it was just a training day because there was a lot of airline personnel at the check in kiosk, but I have never processed on to a flight in Columbia, given up my baggage, and be walking to the gate so fast in my life! I truly hope this is something that will become standard, and I pray to God that the other airlines especially Viva will learn how to do!"

This ordeal started at 9pm and we did not make it out of the airport till 1:50am to a hotel for a 6am pickup back to the airport to start the process all over again."

Just take a peek at their social media accounts. They don't allow reviews anymore but there is a community of people who have been stranded in South America by LATAM and the link is easily found. They seem to have a ploy to try and get people to buy extra tickets. Seriously a scam. Stay away!"

Cons: "Having flown with LAN multiple times the only time you receive good service is when you fly in Business Class. Recently I have been flying economy and from the moment checking in to leaving the plane is a terrible experience. I have had on numerous occasions when checking in at the airport that I was lied to regarding the seat I was in. Or there was more than one person with the same seat. Food and the wine is awful. I would not even eat it if I was starving. When flying the overnight/ morning flight they leave the cabin lights on pretty much the entire way, their excuse is that they need to serve dinner, but who serves dinner at 0500 in the morning anyways. My last flight I asked if I could borrow a pen, and they told me they do not give out pens to customers. I will never fly LAN again except for business class. On American Airlines they are a lot more friendlier. Also a shame that they do not have a way of recognising the people that fly with them frequently, I have flown with LAN 10 times in the last 12 months. They have a bad attitude."

I was traveling with my mother to Mexico to celebrate her 60th birthday and was very excited to upgrade to kick off the celebration. We were offered a glass of water or orange juice after boarding; and when we requested a celebratory glass of champagne, we were denied. As in all other airlines first class participants are served anything they desire while the economy passengers board. It wasn’t until an hour into our flight that we were offered something again. At one point, I turned around and noticed that the first several rows of economy class already had their meals. Before first class. This is not something I would expect. I only fly economy class and was beyond excited to experience the first class amenities, only to feel extremely disappointed in the service by AeroMexico. At this time, I would like to request a refund on the upgrade."

In Houston we were told that we were suppose to pick up our luggage in Mexico City and take it through immigration (we were told that this was very important) We waited for our luggage but in never arrived. After asking around at the airport we were told that the rule had changed and we did not need to pick up our luggage 2) The planes were old with no entertainment."

We had to wait until they had processed everyone else in line, even though we had gotten there first, because either they were in the "sky priority" line or because maybe they had pre-bought their seat assignments. After a tense 20 minutes of waiting, they closed the flight and let us have our seats. Then, at the gate, they confiscated two of our most important carry on bags and checked them because they said that children are not allowed a carry on item -- despite paying full freight for their seats! It was very nerve-wracking at our arrival destinations as these two items were not padlocked and were the very last to come on the conveyor belt."

So I had to wait in line. When I finally fot to the counter the agent and the agent realized I had already paid. She said that I could try take my suitcase under my own responsibility because she thought security would send me back. I was very surprised to hear this because it is a computer case. I did not have any problems and was able to embark. The plane had not bern clean. The pocket underneath my table had a used kleenex and the table of the person seated next to my had coffee spilled. During the 5:50 hrs only once were we offer a drink. Really bad service for an international flight."
