Due to delays at SFO, my WestJet light missed its connecting WestJet flight. If they had held the plane in Calgary for 15 minutes, 2 families with children would not have been stranded in Calgary for more than 24 hours. I understand the need to be on-time, but when it is the same company, you would think they could make a phone call. Or maybe they could go to a higher altitude to make up for lost time? Instead of attempting to put us on another flight, they rescheduled us for the same connecting flight 24 hours later. We then had to scramble to find a hotel, which they state that they were not responsible for since the delay was not their fault and therefore became an additional out of pocket expense for us. The customer service is severely lacking here at this company. They also mentioned that if we purchased our tickets through a 3rd party site (Kayak) versus WestJet directly, that they couldn't help us. Seriously?? Additionally, we lost 2 days of travel and missed out on tours and taxis that were pre-booked. I will not be using WestJet again,

They cancelled and moved my flight with no email or text or any other notice. I discovered this only when I attempted to check in for my flight. Actual flying experience was above average.

The flight was ahead of schedule. A half glass of juice and a cookie is pathetic! No entertainment possibilities. Not even a plug-in for phone or IPad if you wanted to watch a downloaded movie. Back to flying Air Canada!

Flight was delayed 1.5 hours. Baggage took 45 minutes to reach carousel

The quality of service at WestJet has really decline in the past couple years. Now they rarely leave on time and are full of excuses to obviously try to minimize their responsibility for compensation. Reality and what is mentioned at the gate for delaus rarely jive. If you apply for compensation even if appropriate, you are declined. They need to get back to doing the small things great rather than look for more reasons to grab money.

Your staff on the flight back to Calgary were very friendly and efficient .

The flight was on time - which is good. But pretty much every other aspect of the experience was bad. They charged 55$ for a carry on bag!

Flight was old and the seats were not comfortable at all. They made me pay 55$ to take my carry-on bag onboard.

The first flight was cancelled so they automatically re-booked me to fly out *2 days* later. I had to call and spend over an hour on hold to get a new flight. Woke up the next morning to find out the new flight had been delayed enough that I wouldn't be able to make my connection so I called again, spent another hour+ on hold, and then got disconnected. Called again, another hour+ on hold to find out they couldn't find a replacement flight that would get me to my destination in time for my meetings so I had to cancel my trip. Note that the original flight cancellation and the delay of the 2nd flight were both due to "staffing issues".

Generally poor experience with excessive luggage fees. Plane seats were very uncomfortable. Flight did not take off on time, however arrived on time. Boarding seems very inefficient.
