Cons: "Food was bland and simple (Aeroméxico offers slightly better, would look to model after amazing Air Asia setup) and would add more movies to the inflight entertainment system. But overall, all good!"

The lady behind the desk appeared to be junior staff and had to wait numerous time to ask her co-workers for help. By the time they helped her, she told me that it was too late to make the flight (even though I discovered later that the departure time was even postponed)! As a result, I arrived in Medellin 4-5 hours later than planned, causing me to miss a tour that I had scheduled for that afternoon, for which I was not refunded. First time using Copa Airlines was unfortunately not a good one."

Cons: "Our flight was in two (2) segments. One from Santiago, Chile to Panama City, Panama and, two from Panama City, Panama to Boston, MA USA. Our flight from Panama City, Panama to Boston, MA USA was cancelled due to snow. Not the Copa fault; however, rebooking the flight from Santiago back through Panama to Boston was very difficult even though we call the day prior after noticing the cancelled flight on the Copa website. We were successful; however, it took multiple calls and multiple delays on hold to make it happen. No e-mail confirmation was ever received; however, we were able to confirm the flight via the website. We were also unable to confirm the flight status on the website. Maybe it was a special flight or something, but from the customers view, it was discomforting."

Cons: "I was unable to choose my seats on line in advance, which created a stressful situation when at check-in we found that my wife and I were not seated together. Fortunately for the first leg of the trip (Santiago-Lima) there was an empty seat by her and I took it; and for the second leg (Lima-Los Angeles) the passenger next to her was upgraded on the last minute and left his seat for me. Latam has great service, but must let customers choose their seats or guarantee assigning adjacent seats to passengers traveling together, The process for servicing of the plane during the stop-over in Lima could be improved. I know it is hard to do minor cleaning, tidy-up, and replacement of pillows & blankets while many passengers remain on board, but at least there should be an announcement describing what the passengers are to expect during the stop-over."

At start of trip (1/14), not allowed to board connection and suffered an additional 5hr. layover delay due to baggage transfer problem. Cons: "Because of the terminal staff, I did not make this connection and had to spend the night in Santiago, and then wait for a flight to Sao Paulo and then to JFK, which added another 18 hours to my trip. At least some of the terminal staff should have a good command of English and supervisors should be more willing to step in and help. I will try very hard NOT to fly with LAN again."

Cons: "First the check in process at Santiago airport was two hours long. They were totally understaffed and I believe they were dealing with problems of overbooking flights. The last hour in line was spent while in the front of the line while people from the back were being called ahead to check in because they were on other flights even though those flights were hours away. Secondly I preichecked in online the day before, chose a window seat, and when I checked in at the airport I was assigned a seat that did not match what I had chosen, which was also next to my partner I was flying with. There was no explanation until the gate at which point they said they changed planes and randomly reshuffled everyone's seats, after a call to the airline the customer service representative could not explain why anyone would ever say they "randomly reshuffled." The plane was overbooked so they could not accommodate my request to sit next to my partner. Finally at no point was there a warning about bringing water bought in the airport onto the plane (after security) but only upon boarding did they take the water away, some notice would have been helpful and saved a bunch of waste and money."

Cons: "Our seats were assigned, then before boarding we were call by the front table and with out any explanation the lady at the desk give us new printing boarding pass with new different seats way in the back and separate our group leaving one of my child's by himself (5years old) Unacceptable."

Cons: "1. Broken air-conditioning - The 8.5 hour flight from Santiago, Chile to Dallas, TX was extremely uncomfortable due to hot, stuffy air. The fans only circulated the body odors of those on board, and did little to dry the pools of sweat we were marinating in. Needless to say, we got negligible shut eye on the red eye. 2. Disorganized boarding - AA downsized our plane and reassigned seats to everyone so families were separated & scattered (which meant more crying babies). They waited until the last minute to assign my seat and boarding group. We were not satisfied with the new seat assignments, but were given no option to select new seats. 3. Food was over-salted and over-cooked. 4. On-board "entertainment" was "Ricky and the Flash". Enough said."

Most of the announcements in flight were muffled and hard to hear. The safety speech was really quite terrible. I think someone was torturing her to do it. It was really quite painful to listen to....."

Cons: "My flight was delayed 4 times from Columbus to Chicago due to an ATC issue in Chicago. On the 4th delay announcement I had to rebook my international flight for the following day because my connection was leaving Chicago while I was still in Columbus. I had to rebook and get a hotel for the night on my own expense since American Airlines won't pay if it is weather related even though the weather was not the issue, rather air traffic control. The plane we got the next day was a smaller uncomfortable plane with zero entertainment and a crew that projected they would rather be anywhere else. I don't blame them, my experiences with American Airlines had been progressively getting worse."

Another problem - which is probably related to Heathrow airport and outside of the crew's control - was that the staff at the airport rushed us tremendously during boarding, saying that the flight would close half an hour in advance. I had never seen boarding close that early and it was very frustrating, because the boarding then took a very long time, since they searched us for no reason, and our flight ended up taking off 30 minutes late! There would have been plenty of time to serve refreshments during de-icing. But refreshments and dismemberment of ear phones only began once the plane was airborne. There was not enough time to service all the passengers at that point. I'm not sure why Air Canada cannot at least give you ear phones when boarding. And why cannot refreshments be served during de-icing?"

For example, I was either stepped on (as a result, being woken up) or my backpack was stepped on several times when an attendant was walking down the aisle, and neither of those things were sticking out into the aisle. This has rarely happened to me on trans-Pacific flights (more crowded, longer flights) so I can only attribute it to the carelessness of the attendants and/or the aisle width but since I think aisle width follows international standards it's more likely the former."

The front left bathroom in economy was in bad need of maitenance. It was clean but completely out of step with the age of the aircraft. Was worn and looked dirty"

Pros: "The plane was fairly modern and the seating had more leg room than many other economy flights I have taken. The flight attendants were friendly and courteous. All-in-all a very good flight. I was especially appreciative of the concessions made for skiers when it came to luggage. Also, the luggage fees were very reasonable."
Cons: "I was a bit surprised that no snacks were offered free of charge. I can understand that meals are not included in economy, but nuts, cookies or some pretzels would be nice."

Pros: "AC changed to a different plane for our flight at the last minute, so seat assignments were messed up, and we had paid extra to choose seats. So why pay extra for seating when the airline can put you wherever they want at their discretion. In addition there was a minor delay in take off while the flight deck crew had to re-programmed the avionics to our scheduled route. But we made up the time en route and were only a few minutes late. On the whole, not a bad flight experience, just the usual frustration in the process. I long for the days when flying was a pure pleasure."

Pros: "Hourly flights in a Boing 676. Comfy economy class seats with leather headrest (cleaner than fabric). Ample overhead space for carry ons. Individual TV monitors with entertainment (I prefer leaving it on flight itinerary status while reading a book). Good bretzels & tomato juice served by a multilingual flight staff. Boarding, departure & arrival on time to the second. Can't ask for more."

Baggage handlers lost a luggage strap - sturdy one 7 boarding pass The gate was changed to one at the end farthest from original gate It was supposed to be two flights - she ended up with 7 boarding passes in the end. Second really unpleasant flight with Air Canada in less than a year. Will avoid Air Canada from here on."

Cons: "This connecting flight was worse, as we sat on the tarmac for well over an hour and were not provided with so much as a single beverage the entire time we were waiting or flying. Apart from the great in-flight entertainment system, the whole experience was brutal."

Cons: "Ticketed for Air Canada, but it was a code share flight with United Airlines. The check in at United took over 15 minutes because my reservation was not recognized by the United online system. Luckily a United agent was able to work through my paperwork and get me checked in, with luggage, via Ottawa to London, Heathrow. However, at the boarding gate for my flight to Ottawa, my boarding pass was deemed invalid and it took another 15 minutes to issue a new boarding pass - with seating at the back of the bus. Was a frustrating/annoying process. Luckily I encountered two capable United employees who worked to resolve the issues."

Not impressed with deltas service at the airport. The flight crew was very nice."
