The flight to Tokyo AA61 took off about two hours late, but then had to turn back. By that time the crew had to be replaced. Then they kept promising to take off in an hour, then in 3, then switch to the next day.

The flight was initially delayed, then cancelled. American Airlines says the cancellation was weather related, though the actual weather was not bad in both Washington and Providence and between. There were very few cancellations that day. In fact, AA2120 from Washington, DC to Boston flew with a minor delay at about the same time. So, the weather somehow affected only this particular flight AA5230. The next available flight was the following morning. The American Airlines refused to reimburse accommodation (hotel at DCA)

Flight delayed, missed connection, had to stay overnight. Next flight instead of our business class we were booked on the very back row. Second time this had happened in 2 months.

Flight was on time Crew was not. very friendly I paid for premium class and It wasn’t too much different from coach

Overall flight was as expected. It would have been better with a couple options for snack instead of only one item and if there was a TV or music as option. But overall satisfied.

The luggage was completely damaged. It was ripped at the corner and the lock was stuck. We had to rip it open.

Fourth consecutive trip that American has run so far behind they disrupted the days travel entirely. No more American Aieli ea. time to try delta.
