FAQs - booking Crete flights

  • Is it a good idea to buy a ticket from Toronto to Crete that requires a self-transfer?

Several of the cheapest tickets from Toronto to both Heraklion and Chania require a self-transfer at a connection. This means you must go through arrivals (including customs) and check in again for the next leg of your flight. Before you choose such a flight, make sure the ticket leaves you enough time at the layover city to complete the self-transfer and board the next leg of your flight.

  • Can I find a non-stop flight from Toronto to Crete?

Regardless of which Toronto airport you leave from or which Crete city you land in, you are unlikely to find a non-stop flight from Toronto to Crete. However, many cheap flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Heraklion International Airport (HER) on Crete stop only once in Athens (ATH). Many of these flights start aboard Lufthansa and then transfer to another airline such as Volotea, Sky Express, Olympic Air, or Aegean Airlines.

  • Does either Toronto airport have an exclusive lounge that I can access as an economy-ticketed passenger?

Because the Billy Bishop Toronto City International Airport (YTZ) is relatively small, the departure area has a calm, quiet lounge feel to it. However, if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the Toronto Pearson International Airport (YTZ), you can pay at the door in order to access the Plaza Premium Lounge. There is one in Terminal 1 and another in Terminal 3.

  • Do any economy flights from Toronto to Crete allow checked baggage?

When you fly from Toronto to Crete, you are going to want to pack light. The most affordable airline tickets, such as an Economy Light fare on Lufthansa, allow passengers one carry-on only. Ticket prices increase significantly when you add a checked bag.

  • How does KAYAK find such low prices on flights from Toronto to Crete?

KAYAK is a travel search engine. That means we look across the web to find the best prices we can find for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from Toronto to Crete.

  • How does KAYAK's flight Price Forecast tool help me choose the right time to buy my flight ticket from Toronto to Crete?

KAYAK’s flight Price Forecast tool uses historical data to determine whether the price for a flight to Crete from Toronto is likely to change within 7 days, so travelers know whether to wait or book now.

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights from Toronto to Crete?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional round-trip ticket. You could then fly to Crete with an airline and back to Toronto with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from Toronto to Crete?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying to Crete from Toronto up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

So far one of the good one , whenever I go to Korea , I always use Korean airline .

They had the same movie choice as my previous flight, not much of a choice, movies were not up to date, music was uninteresting. Other than sitting on the ground for 40 minutes after boarding the plane, with pilot telling us that they couldn't load the plane because of rain, (bullshit) We finally got into Bangkok of course 40 minutes late.

Terrible experience will never fly Delta again. Delayed flight with total disorganization and inept crew who wouldn’t communicate.

The crew and my luggage was still pretty good after a long flight. They take good care of the luggage.

Overall, very uneventful and pleasant experience. Most importantly, no delays.

The flight crews were extremely professional, helpful, and courteous. Departure and arrival times were accurate. No delay. I will use K airline again. Thanks

Everything about Korean air is great, hands down! Will always prefer this airline from other carriers.

I enjoyed flying on Korean Air. The service was great and the food was yummy. They served white fish.

Ford not that great the seat not to big for leg room like other airline

Great crew, decent food Charging plugs were broken on both seats next to me. Only the USB port was available, and that charges, very, very slowly. Seat was also broken, it would not lock into position when reclining.

From Chicago to Hong Kong was great., but from Hong Kong to manila we had hard time looking for the gate of our connecting flight. There wasn’t hardly any sign.

Both my husband and I ordered the fish for dinner and we both got sick and throwing up on the plane. I don’t think the seafood was handled properly and I for sure will not order fish the next time around.

No proper procedures or announcements for boarding. Not even water was served on flight. Could not check in on line. This option was not available .

Wanted different plane design with an additional bathroom at the back of the plane.

The crew staffs are very nice. The temperature is too low.

Unfortunately I ended up beside a person who seemed to have been eating rotten corpses before landing because his breath smelled like Calcutta Sewage mixed with vodka and undigested eggs. Even wearing a mask that smell was so permeating that I couldn't breathe for the whole duration of the flight. I understand this is not CATHAY's fault but nevertheless I as a passenger had to endure this and there wasn't any way to fix it

I booked Flexi ticket, Paid extra for extra legroom seat. What I got was worst ever place to sit. It was an emergency exit seat with lots of legroom but half of the seat was occupied with aircraft body. Means you don’t keep that seat where a passenger can’t sit. The seats are too narrow. Whole night I was awake. Not movable armrests. One of the worst.

The flight was cancelled. I wasn't informed where to check in, how and when. It wasn't easy to get in contact with Cathay service representative, and they were not very helpful... The staff on the airport - Air Canada (I assume) were the most helpful, kind efficient, patient... Thank you for all your help and care, for your patience, for your professionalism!!!

The first economy rows have remote space in the seat which eats in the seating space. The seats are also smaller compared to other airlines.

The flight crew was exceptionally good. Personal needs were well met. The food choices were very nice.

The plane used to go to Chicago was a bit outdated and needed a refresh

My connecting gate in .Chicago was across the aisle from my arriving gate. Otherwise I would not have made my connection. So that was very fortunate.

United needs to figure out its Economy PLUS standards; its better than economy but that's not saying much. It seems like United stripped away all the basics for an international flight (such as In Seat entertainment) and repackaged some of them as plus. Would not fly United internationally again.

I flew basic economy, so it was what I expected. Crew was nice though, and flight was quick. Would recommend for flights under 6 hours, otherwise would upgrade to something with more leg room.

Bad, they delayed my flight, lost my connection flight had to stay overnight for the next flight and missed a lot of important meetings. 1 day totally lost!

Airline staff was good the checkin process was ok but the plane itself was very bad the comfort was worst it was worst and the most stiff 5 hours of my life i felt claustrophobic

Everything got delayed we were supposed to land at 1pm and landes at 8-9 pm … was horrible

Calgary desperately needs a star alliance lounge in the transborder area for United.

Brutal as can be … delayed by 24 hours then delayed and hour on the tarmac then delayed three hours in Chicago, screaming child behind me kicking the seat for the better part of 10 hours… couldn’t be worse

My flight was delayed by a whole day, so I lost a day of my vacation.

Very easy boarding. The on board snacks were not good.

They canceled the flight with no reason given they should not be in business

We had a 44 minute layover ( ??? ) to change planes for our flight to SRQ. We landed at Concourse D, and the SRQ plane was located at Concourse B, as we were told in Toronto. We got to "B4" as directed by ( Delta Help ), in less than 10 minutes, only to see the flight we booked to leave at 2:28, was showing "DEPARTED". Back to Delta Help, got an extremely obnoxious and rude clerk who gave use two options, next flight leaving 5:20, on "B12", (STANDBY). or (CONFIRMED), leaving around 8:PM, not sure of the exact time because they took our seat request and gave us another boarding pass minus the exact time. We had been waiting hours for the 5:20 flight and at the very last minute a group appeared and were allowed to board. When the "standby" folks were summoned, several were allowed to board ahead of us, even though we were there much earlier. The clerk, who gave his name as Markus, a black man with a beard, was the most arrogant. rude and condescending individual in existence. When I asked him to repeat his name he said "what did it sound like?". Had I been thinking I would have answered to me it sounded like (markasshole) which is exactly what he was. When we originally got to that gate and asked for advice, he went on and on telling me he could only comment on the flight that was in progress, that ATL was a big airport, and treated us, both, in our 80"s like we were children unable to understand the process, and directly in my face in a loud voice, shouted exactly what we were already aware of. Not one ounce of consideration for our problem, of just trying to get home. When he called out the names of the remaining "standby" people, he left several go before us, even though we were there waiting hours earlier. He called out our names, John and Nubia, looked at us and shouted out that he only had ONE, and with a grin on his face, let another standby board, and told that person that she got the "lucky" last seat, still grinning, meaning we had to wait once again for the later flight. This obviously prejudiced and biased poor excuse of human beings needs to find a job he is better suited for, perhaps dog catcher or janitor, IMHO. This entire fiasco put us home more than 7 hours later than previously indicated on our original and paid for flight schedule. If Kayak continues to offer flights with different concourse locations and with only a 44 minute layover, they might also consider a more reasonable and reliable time frame for layover. It was a horrible experience and considering alternatives to this service is paramount.

Plane was tooo small, making cracking sound felt lime its breaking down. No tv, wifi doesn’t work. Only 2 restroom

Flight was re-scheduled for the next day. No voucher for a hotel offered. Boarding was delayed by almost 1 hour. No free meal or even water was offered on board. When tried to purchase a coke, was denied because they didn’t accept coins less than 1 euro denominations. A young male flight attendant was especially rude and unhelpful.

My connecting flight was switched without proper notice. Spent the night at the airport. Missed my hotel room and rental car due to this inconvenience. Trying to remain positive.

Unable to connect to their entertainment 'app'. Otherwise fine. Maybe a bit chilly.

Very friendly staff at the check in.crew was excellent in side the plane & service was great 👍

Our flight was canceled the morning of and we were given no alternatives, poor communication, and it cost us $2900 more plus five days to get to our destination.

West Jet invited me to check in 24 hrs before the flight, issued me boarding passes, then emailed at 4am saying flight would be delayed by half an hour, then emailed at 8:30am saying check flight status ‘flight could be affected’, then emailed at 10am saying cancelled and not alternate flight option until a day and a half later (and that would include 2 stop overs for a more than 11 hour travel day arriving 2 days after the original ticket). Refund given but not compensation. Had to cancel the entire trip.

Delays were reported timely. The waiting area was a joke, it was caious the loading was delayed and not reported clearly. Their was disgruntled passengers. The personel tried their best but the organization failed the customer and the present personnel. There was no planning causing poor exicusion.

There were no premium headphones available for purchase on my flight and I had to settle for regular ones which were just okay but, not the best

Lots of selection for entertainment. Fight was comfortable. However. The flight was delayed multiple times. And the delay caused us to miss an important mwwting.

There was no entertainment and no wifi working at all. At least Beer was free and it was a short trip. The staff on board were good

YYZ air Canada security messed up which led to my kids missing their flight and having to go on a separate flight later in the day without the rest of the family. Customer service was horrible and have no sense of urgency or compassion for their customers. They refuse to compensate for their errors and making my kids wait hours in the airport. This isn’t the first time we have had issues with this airline and I won’t be flying with them again.

Very good. Left on time and arrived early. Smooth flight

Orderly boarding. Passengers should be made aware that no food is being provided

Cancelled flight had to fight for a hotel voucher and lost my upgrade. Not great business.

Nice larger plane Good take off and landings Very comfortable seat Great staff. Caring and helpful

The overall experience was very good and the flight left early. The checkin process was efficient and the staff was helpful and courteous. Of course, the room between seats could always be a little bigger.....
