Everything was great except one piece: water+cereal bar - would be nice if there was at least a tea option there.
Boarding is a mess. They never check group # so lots of people crowding in. Comfortable seats this flight. I had an empty seat next to me, very convenient. Food was really not good, but I was starved. The pizza snack thing was horrible. Crew was grand. They really make it enjoyable.
Too much long line at the TSA and Security. Prepare for long walk for baggage claim.
Crew very helpful and friendly. Food is so so. Main meal is not always the best. Did have a choice of a snack part way which was either a cookie, corn snack, or similar. Second kind of meal was basically like a pizza pastry that really wasn’t a favorite but probably a European snack? Screens and selections of movies, tv and such were good. No WI-Fi unless you buy so no free texting or such on the long flight but I think that might be any overseas flight.
Boarding was efficient. Flight left on time. Wasn’t full so we could spread out a bit. Food was ok.
Horrible. The Athens to London flight was horrible. At some point there was a long piece of toilet paper on the corridor floor for 30min, crew were stepping over it. Only picked up when they rolled out the garbage cart. Not a pleasant site. The whole experience reminded me of easy jet. Not worth the price.
I have something to say about the flight I took from London to Gothenburg, after my flight from Austin to London. I fly a lot and have done so for decades. I first flew to Scandinavia in 1973. My former wife is Norwegian. The main thing was the experience at the Gothenburg airport. Three flights from Britain arrived around the same time. So there were huge lines at immigration since Brits are no longer a part of the EU. After over an hour in line, I finally gave my passport to the immigrations man. You’d have thought I was an Afghan. I just barely got into Sweden. I had to answer all kinds of blunt questions. I had to show all kinds of onward tickets, addresses of places I’d be staying and it was pretty daunting. Perhaps it has to do with the situation with Russia. British Air might have done something to prepare people that things have changed a lot and they’d better be ready to run the gauntlet when trying to get into the country here. Expected a lot better service paying for a business class seat. Seemed to be short on staff and did not get the service I expected.
The A350 is a great plane but BA's seating was incredibly tight (eg compared to the same plane as flown by BA's partner Finnair) and with a middle seat it was very claustrophobic
Our headphone plug is broken, we can not enjoy our entertainment, especially traveling with 5 year old who like to watch movie
