Good flight. On time. A bit crowded but organized and reasonably comfortable. Good job air Canada!

Online check in the night before made boarding easy. Free check in of luggage at the gate was also offered. Crew offered drinks twice. Wish they would give food like they used to instead of selling it. On board entertainment was good & worked well. Surprised that it was a full flight but it was comfortable. Boarding and deplaning was organized and check in luggage came out promptly!

Pros: "The agent was at the air Canada counter was amazing. He helped with getting my toddler a ticket, he walked us all the way to our gate because we were late boarding."
Cons: "My toddler should have been issued a ticket from the beginning if that’s the policy. It took forever to cross the airport and then i had to figure out where to get our tickets which took over an hour and then we had to go through tsa again. Thank God the agent helped us through. I ended up not having food nor water for my son nor myself and of course no service on the flight. It was a miserable day to say the least."
Pros: "Really appreciated AC getting us on an earlier flight as our scheduled flight was delayed over 2 hours due to weather."
Pros: "Surprised with an upgrade to premium economy. Food and service was good. Entertainment system was good and worked well."
Cons: "Some folks should not be allowed on airplanes...for some reason this flight had more than its fair share of ignorant, slovenly passengers."
Cons: "Air Canada has completely gone down the tubes and super quickly."
Pros: "The flight from Toronto to Boston is extremely short, about an hour. I don’t feel as though I can rate the food since I didn’t buy any, it just doesn’t give me an option to not rate it. It was a completely full flight. It was as comfortable as can be. It’s a smaller plane so you feel everything but the captains were good flyers."
Cons: "I’m not sure if this is something I can really complain about but I wish the flight attendants would’ve spoken a bit lower. For a plane where half of the people there had missed their connecting flight and were put on a 6:30 am flight, I don’t think we wanted to hear about their detailed personal lives."
Pros: "The flight wasn’t full, so I sat in my own row,?which offered spare leg room (I’m 6’2”). Time to fix the leg room issue on Rouge flights — it’s 2018."
Cons: "Crew seemed uninterested in general. On phones in back while people struggling to find luggage space. Coffee cups and plastic utensils, etc, stored in overhead bins so people at the back had to search for carry-on space elsewhere, again, without assistance from on board crew. Offered service only once and many were sleeping so didn’t get anything. The overall check-in process could be easier, as the app doesn’t always work as it should."
Pros: "While I've ranked the crew as poor, that isn't a reflection of the entire crew. The flight crew and check-in team were fine, the boarding I have as mediocre due to delay, but I don't put that on the staff."
Cons: "My issues are two part: 1 - I wasn't informed that I was required to retrieve my luggage from the carousel on this flight from George Town to Toronto. I thought perhaps I missed something, however, the three other couples that were in the same predicament I was weren't aware either. This caused a massive headache, the instructions were superbly poor on how to retrieve the luggage, and the process was completely a waste of time. We had to talk with three different people, the person that took us back to the carousel showed no urgency despite us all explaining that we were on a short layover, and might miss our next flight, and even though we had our passes to get through customs, we were made to wait in line to have our baggage inspected. A completely broken process that could've been avoided with a friendly reminder at check-in. 2 - Once I was able to retrieve my luggage I picked it up off the carousel only to find the handle on one piece of luggage had been ripped off, and the plastic lining on the other bag was destroyed. Admittedly I find this to be no surprise after seeing how mine and everyone else's luggage was handled so poorly upon being loaded into the cargo. I saw my luggage being tossed 3-5 feet into the cargo area - literally picked up, and with complete disregard flung like it was a trash bag being thrown into the dumpster. Since I didn't have time to discuss this with any staff due to my prior issue and being unable to find a representative once I landed back in Vancouver, I called the next day to discuss this over the phone, but the representative explained that I was only able to make a complaint in-person at the time of baggage retrieval. The person was absolutely useless and unwilling to help. This was by far the worst treatment I've had at any time in my life while flying any airline. The trip to George Town was with American Airlines, and even though it was longer, and a tad bit more expensive, the service I had with them was stellar by comparison to my experience with AirCanada. Going forward I will only be using AC when there are absolutely no other options."
Cons: "seat pitch pretty tight."
Cons: "Would nice to have better and more movie choices"
Pros: "Fast flight with no delays"
Cons: "Very old entertainment unit, slow touch screen, confusing interface. Very tight seats that were not very padded. Overall uncomfortable"
Pros: "No built in entertainment systems. YES PLEASE. Built entertainment systems take up room, sometimes have screens that can't be turned off, and some generate a lot of heat. So glad they were removed. The built in streaming service is a much better solution. Crew was fine."
Cons: "Seats are just ridiculously close. This makes boarding take longer. I don't think emergency evacuation is feasible. Have seats this close been tested for evacuations? Knees-touching-the-seat-in-front close. Taller people can't sit with legs straight in front. Eat before your flight."
Cons: "No one told us the only inflight entertainment option was streaming via their app, until we were seated on the aircraft with no access to wifi."
Cons: "the food"
Pros: "The staff on board the plane were excellent."
Cons: "The wireless entertainment system is slow and glitchy and did not work on an older iPad. The food was subpar but by airline standards was middle of the road."
Pros: "Friendly staff"
Cons: "Old plane, no in flight entertainment"
Cons: "1, no food 2, pay for the luggage 3, very small leg room 4, too low temperature in the cabin and no blanket"
Pros: "Good flight from Toronto."
Pros: "Loved the direct flight! Landed ahead of schedule which facilitated my workday."
Pros: "Crew were excellent, flight itself was comfortable once finally underway"
Cons: "My flight was delayed, never given an explanation. My bag did not arrive with my flight from Victoria to Toronto. I was never told why this happened, and I was refused entry through customs and forced to miss my connecting flight."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Multiple delays, slow employees at desk, employees had attitudes when they were asked questions."
Pros: "Short flight"
Cons: "Cramped seating"
Pros: "The plane was comfortable, the boarding easy, the flight pleasant, good views."
Cons: "Plane employees did not explain what the declaration card was meant to serve. I left mine on the plane by mistake, partly due to complete ignorance of its purpose. Please either put the purpose on the card or have your flight staff explain what passengers will need the card for, once they get to the next inspection point. Don 't take this for granted!! The long walk from the point of deplaning to the center of Pearson Airport was unexpected."
Cons: "Wireless system slow and costly."
Pros: "The entertainment was first rate. Seats -although snug and with no room to spare (like all other flights) declined nicely with seat adjusting too. Seems like on other airlines this isn't the case. Outbound flight - staff were friendly, smiling, warm and welcoming."
Cons: "Very full flight. Did not like boarding process in Toronto - b fore filtering into zones it was crowded and felt a little like we were cattle being herded - unpleasant! On return flight staff were robotic - nothing warm or personal. Food was bland, poorly prepared and presented - but no different to any airline I've flown on. Late take off but we were kept informed by pilot. I"
Pros: "The crew was very friendly and attentive."
Pros: "Flawless flight and friendly staff and roomy seating on Air Canada flight"
Cons: "Did not have food options I wanted - ran out."
Cons: "Uncomfortable, had to sit sideways since my seat didn't recline and the passenger in front on me reclined into my lap. Stewardess did nothing to help, chose to ignore me and went in the back to knit.."
Pros: "Seats had a decent amount of room."
Cons: "Aircanada'swe boarding system is again and everyone in later zones just blocks everyone else. Due to issues mentioned on the flight above my husband didn't get his luggage. We are still waiting."
Pros: "The price was decent."
Cons: "I was travelling with a 13 yr old and expected to be seated together when I booked. I didn't know I needed to pluck my seats if I didn't want to pay extra. The woman at boarding moved our seats, however, closer at boarding, which I thought was pretty considerate."
Cons: "Was an overnight flight and not very comfortable but didn't expect anything different."
Pros: "Crew was surly overall on flight. On ground they looked bored-one on first leg of flight seemed hung over"
Cons: "Changed my flight home do my layover went from 1 hr 30 min to 5 hours!"
Pros: "The space I had for my feet and legs"
Cons: "The lights that had to stay on during a red eye flight"
Cons: "Every flight was late. Missed next connection. Broken luggage."
Pros: "That staff was nice and helpful, they only had food for purchase but it tasted great and wasn't too pricey!"
Cons: "The plane should have been retired a year ago. It was an old airbus. Seating was uncomfortable, the entertainment systems outdated, and the aisles were cramped. Thankfully it was a short flight."
Pros: "Very fast flight"
Cons: "In flight Audio didn't work"
Pros: "The flight attendant in Business class was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly, attentive, and fun. She made the trip special."
Cons: "Business were regular seats, but for such a small plane I understand."
Pros: "Take off and landing"
Cons: "Non reclining seats for such a long flight. Very little leg room and indifference of flight crew."
Cons: "Flight was delayed over 4 hours due to Air Canada needing a mechanic to check and sign off on the tire tread on one of the wheels, the ground staff enforced the carry-on bag size arbitrarily and inconsistently, and the entertainment system froze up and reset itself at least 3 times on the flight. Apart from the captain, the rest of the Air Canada staff exhibited the usual bureaucratic and defensive behavior I have unfortunately seen multiple times before. They're expensive (with a nasty computer algorithm that raises the price by over $100 each time you browse flights. The first time I checked, it was $300+; by the 3rd time it was over $600. When I used a VPN, the price magically went down to $300 plus, which was still a lot) and the experience is generally unpleasant. I have to brace myself for their lack of common sense behavior every time I deal with them. If I didn't have to fly with them, I wouldn't."
Pros: "Easy upgrade to a seat with more room without a crazy up charge, super friendly and accommodating staff (both at gate and on flight), smooth ride from start to finish, and very quick turnover to board us after a late arrival plane. All in all, a comfortable experience!!"
Cons: "My first flight had free snacks and movies to watch yet it was only an hour in the air. This flight was much longer with no movies and having to pay for snacks. Seems a tad backwards."
Cons: "The vegetarian meal was awful"
Cons: "They sell special headphones so you cannot watch moviescwith out paying. And food is for sale as well, even on a 5 hour much delayed, international flight."
Pros: "The crew was all wonderful, friendly and efficient."
Pros: "Great flight."
Pros: "Great service (Business Class)"
Cons: "Delayed 1.5 hours due to fueling issue in YYJ (not Air Canada's fault) Breakfast (business class) never varies and is getting somewhat boring"
Cons: "The Toronto airport was ill-equipped for an international transfer. I barely made it despite a 90 minute layover. Air Canada was OK, not great."
Pros: "The aircraft was clean, flight on time, service and staff were very professional and courteous."
Cons: "Boarding should be from the rear of the aircraft to reduce congestion in the aisles. Need more vegetarian food options."
Pros: "I was able to be put on later flights (my first leg was delayed several hours due to weather), but the staff either didn't have information and/or directed me elsewhere to obtain information. That's about all good I can say about the trip."
Cons: "Poor communication from Air Canada staff about when the next flight would be, moving us off the plane after it had to return to Victoria, only to send us back on within ten minutes or so."
