Cons: "Asked specifically at the ticketing counter not to be seated in a non-emergency row. Were seated in an emergency row. For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."

Cons: "The international transfer process at Manila airport was the worst I’ve ever seen. They had about 20 people standing at a desk for about 90 minutes with no explanation as to what was going on. In that time, nobody was released to go to their gate, but they wouldn’t explain what was happening. There were about 10 airport staff standing there, mostly doing nothing. The process was inefficient, to say the least. There was no place to sit, no toilets, no order to any of it. In most international airports, after you deplane, you just walk to your next gate. There seemed to be no logical reason for that awful experience. It would have been much faster to go through customs and then go through security, walking directly to the gate."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 1 hour. we get on plane. then an announcement that in previous flight plane hit a bird so they needed to dissemble the plane. we got off plane at 11:26 pm. waited there. received a text announcement it would leave now at 2 am. the staff on site did not announce this information till 12:45 am. we waited and then got good news flight was going to take off. not in a logical way the plane took off all our luggage off the plane. and then could not add our luggage back on to the plane because tsa was now closed. so paperwork for getting luggage was poorly committed. not bright people. I hope my luggage arrives like they say a day later."

The flight was in an old, stuffy aircraft. The flight crew looked tired and over-worked. The food and films were poor and lacked any quality. The flight was late arriving and then the door failed to open. I missed my connecting flight and was delayed more than 9 hours - for a MUCH longer and unpleasant trip. Air Canada should be avoided whenever possible.
Check-in agent at YYJ was very terse and unfriendly, And this was at the priority check-in post. Maybe she was having a bad day. The flight was an hour late leaving. On board crew were great. Waited 20+ minutes for priority baggage at YYZ, so got to my hotel much later than expected. On balance, not a bad experience.
Stuck on arrival due to issue with engine turning off on the runway
Several delays caused us to miss our connecting flight. (Be sure to ask for a meal reimbursement) Several ticket counter people were too stressed to answer our questions regarding new connections.
A few delays on the way back with stressful transitions between flights, but the flight to Canada was fine. A would suggest a min of 2 hours between the flight to make sure you can reach them easily.
Food was not nice.It’s not only my opinion but the opinion of many.People were seen grumbling.During the trip from Delhi to Montreal the food was nice.Except for this everything was nice.

Flight was cancelled as soon as I landed in the airport. Had to scramble to find another flight home.
Air Canada has really gone the extra mile to start winning customers back. The cost of the flight (using Aeroplan points and eUpgrades) was by far the winning ticket. However, everything about the flight was smooth. There was a 30-minute delay departing Calgary but we made that up in actual flight time. The flight attendants couldn't have been more helpful. A wonderful experience!
The meal service could have been better for a 14 hours flight especially in business class
