    Forced to upgrade
Pros: Ace forced us to upgrade because they didn’t have any of the type of car that we originally reserved. The only options (so they claimed) was a minivan or a sports car. Both weren’t very fuel efficient, as we had planned to drive for several hours. Called customer care 2-3 times each day to try to address the situation and no one answers the Dang phone. Ace is truly terrible. Will never use them again.
Cons: Forced to pay for an upgrade we didn’t want. Customer care is also extremely unresponsive.

$110 quoted rate turned into $300 total
    Pros: The car was fine
Cons: Quoted $110 USD. Final total over $300 USD...still not sure what some of the misc charges were? Upsold because my car was not ready. Pressured into overpriced insurance. Other misc weird tax charge.

Budget Rental Car Company and It Shows - Not for everybody
Pros: The price was right, and the car was in decent shape. Everything was fully functional.
Cons: This is an offsite pickup/dropoff location. Not to be confused with the rental car facility which is a short shuttle ride from the airport. This location requires an additional shuttle ride to an offsite location. This could add around 15-30 minutes of time waiting to get your car. The car had no license plate. I guess this is par for the course in Vegas, but it still made this rental feel a bit shady. The manager assured me that the Temporary permit sticker on windshield was sufficient. They take a video of the exterior of the car to document damage. You are encouraged to do the same. Not a pro or a con. The car was not that clean when I picked it up. I had to wipe the interior of the windshield bc it was hard to see in certain conditions. It did appear to have been vacuumed though. The woman who checked me in was very nice, but she talked super fast. She tried to sell me on the insurance, and also the pre paid gas plan by telling me that the rate for gas was cheaper than what you could get on the street. This is true, but the prepaid price is the average price for the whole tank. So if you only use 1/8 of the tank, you end up paying for a whole tank, which is stupid. Just return the car with a full tank of gas to get out of the prepaid fuel situation, There is a gas station literally right outside the drop-off location. Then you will receive a refund for the prepaid gas program. I had to call and straighten the refund out bc they had calculated some things wrong, It's too long to explain here, but basically I needed to sort some stuff out financially. However, to their credit, they resolved everything smoothly and in one call. I was also told that because I had a lot of dirt on my car, that I needed to wash the car, or get charged with a cleaning fee. I've never heard of this from a rental company. There is a $7 machine car wash right there, so it's not a huge deal, but it does take some time. If I was in a rush, this could have been an issue. The car also had alignment issues, there was a strange vibration in the steering and it pulled a bit to one side. There was a strange twitch and it made driving long distances on the highway a little annoying. I guess this is what you get when you go with a budget rental place.
