I was told to come 2 hours later than my scheduled time and when I arrived they told my vehicles were sold out. All the staff seemed indifferent and after half an hour one finally came to ask me to go away. Poor attitude, no service at all. This office should shut down eternally.

This was a joke and neither Kayak or Hertz would make me whole. I showed up for my rental at the appointed time and was told there were no cars and there was nothing they could do. I called Hertz who told me they couldn't refund. I went to Kayak's site for a refund which indicated there are no refunds. I disputed the charges with my credit card company and was made whole. I shan't be doing this again. Cheers.

The location was impossible to find, it took 20 minutes of circling around to find it. And once I got there there's only one clerk and she was very overwhelmed and so we had to wait an hour and a half. And she didn't seem to care and all that I had an appointment. Then she basically lied to my face and told me that I was not insured even though I had paid for a separate insurance. So I had to pay an extra $200 for something I didn't want or need. I will never use them again and likely not use kayak bc the whole thing was such a mess

They gave us an old car with a spent battery. The battery died and they took 2.5h to send someone to jump it, and they would not send us a replacement vehicle. While on vacation, we had to drive back to the airport to get a replacement. Terrible experience.

The representative was nice, accommodating and helpful to those stranded. However, he did not mention the car we rented was an upgraded vehicle. The cost was high. Had we known we would not have rented from them. Secondly, you are nearly forced into renting an EV car , if you opt not to, then a gas car is now considered an upgrade.

We never got either a car or a person with Kayak to address the situation. Our planned trip was long distance to a remote area. We intentionally rented a gas powered vehicle, and when we arrived, all they had available was electric with insufficient charge. We tried both calling Kayak and working with the online system, neither of which would accept our reservation number or connect us to a human being. We ended up contesting the charge with our credit card company...and never got to take our trip!

On arrival to pickup reserved car was told no available cars ( this was trure for 6-8 other people arriving to pickup cars) and expected wait times would be 2-3 hours. Since prepaid only option for refund was going through expedia. when that was done I went yhrough multiple calls and call menus without being able to talk to anyone who would listen to me before transferring me to another call menu which never worked. Since I was unable to reach expedia for refund I had to wait 2 1:2 hours for rental car. rest of process worked ok BUT I WILL NEVER RENT A CAR THROUGH EXPEDIA(KAYAK) AGAIN or PROB NOT FROM THRIFTY EITHER!!!!

The car smelled like marijuana, which is not great since I was using the car to drive a bunch of 7 year olds around. Additionally, we could not use the AC because the air it blew out smelled like molding clothes and sour feet. There is clearly a bacterial issue in the AC system. The pick up and drop off were fine, and the car drove fine as well. The issue of smell and heavy bacteria is my main complaint.

At the pickup location the customer service rep tried to give me an economy car instead of the compact car rented… trying to get more money out to upgrade from the economy car to a standard or compact. Waited 45 mins for a car that had oil changed and needed a wash and clean. Car came out still dirty, car had a bad wheel alignment and felt kind of unsecured on highways. Thank God the customer rep at the drop off location was really nice and provided a discount to compensate for the troubles.

Pros:

I made my reservation online only two days in advance, and I was able to walk into the rental office and leave with my rented car only a few minutes later! The same representative helped me with pick-up and drop-off, and she was very helpful and professional both times. Also, setting up my reservation through Kayak helped make things simple as well.

Cons:

Nothing! I've used another car rental service nearby in Downtown Atlanta, and frankly this Enterprise offered me fewer issues and a better value for my experience. If I need another car rental, I will probably be returning here.

I had a reservation for one week for pickup in Atlanta. With less than 24 hours before my arrival they cancelled my reservation and did not offer an alternative. I called them pressing the issue, so they found an Avis car for me to rent in downtown Atlanta. The Uber ride was ) $40+.. The hotel told me they didn’t have an Avis car for me. I called Avis. They could find no car. They finally found a less than 1/2 charged electric IONIC 5 for me to drive to Alabama. The car was dirty and it took me several attempts to locate a vacant charging station along the way. Plus the charging added 1 hour to my trip. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!!

Absolutely terrible experience and will never use Turo. Apparently the car we had arranged months before was smashed two weeks before we we due to pick it up. Trouble is, no one told us until we were on the Eurostar on the way to get it. They had had our money for ages. Seems like the owner, Luke, was trying to get Turo to make up the difference and hire us his more expensive alternative (a Porsche, which I wouldn’t want anyway). Turo “help” line was totally unhelpful. Couldn’t end the deal; couldn’t refund without us getting on to another department (hard on a foreign phone). They can’t call you…. So it was impossible to organise an alternative. If there is a problem with a car hire company, they just replace it. Turo was more expensive and unable to fix a problem. Never again.

Supplier choice

KAYAK
Their ONLY car available was a Ram 3500 diesel truck. I wanted an economy sedan. There was zero indication of their inventory. It wasn’t even like they ran out of sedans this location only rents trucks! Would have been nice to know before I had to drive to Birmingham and back with the largest most gas inefficient vehicle on the highway.

Pros:

Drop-off was super easy, but pick-up was long.

Cons:

Out of the five people working when I picked up the car, only one was actually helping customers.

Pros:

I reserved a car and went to go pick it and they were closed. I called customer service and nothing. Would be nice if I knew that they were going to be closed and I wouldn’t have paid for a rental.

Cons:

They could have their hours up online instead of on a sheet of printer paper on the door so no one gets tricked into renting a car they can’t get!

They were out of cars and stated even if they had them, it’s a $1000 deposit that wasn’t disclosed during the reservation process

I reserved a compact car, but they were out and only had minivans left. I luckily did not have to drive it the whole time I was in the area. I did have to fill up half a tank. I will never use this rental car company again.

Tires were almost bald and provided very poor traction on wet roads. Tire pressure guages were not working properly When we dropped the car off, there was no attendent and the spaces were full to capacity. We were charged $40.00 for dropping the vehicle off early. No more Rentals with Europcar!
