Waited an hour to pick up the car from Oakland airport. Once inside it didn't smell or look very clean. The Passat they gave me got great gas mileage though.6.0 Okay

Sorry my bad. I screwed up. Will actually not fully my fault. I did indicate I wanted to rent from SFO airport and it also apparently gave me options for Oakland airport rentals and I rented a car from there without realizing. Duh! Will anyway it was nonrefundable and I'm screwed out of $140. So since kayak sent me a request via email for a review of my car rental it's fair to say it didn't go so well!2.0 Poor

I reserved the car and was scheduled to pick it up at 8PM. I showed up a little bit late, and I assume this would be no problem, because the Oakland Airport Rental Car Center is open 24 hours a day. When I got to the car rental center, no one was at the Payless desk, and another lady told me that Payless closes at 8PM. So why would I be allowed to reserve a car for pickup at the time that the desk closes? So anyway, I had to change my trip plans because I had no rental car.6.0 Okay

The remote entry key didn't work and I only found out after I got to my house. I had to drive all the way back to the Enterprise branch, and was told that I would have to wait at least 30 minutes for the battery for the remote entry key to be replaced. When I asked for another vehicle, I was told that there were no other midsize cars available. Fortunately, 20 minutes later another midsize car became available.10.0 Wonderful

You gave us a reservation for the wrong airport. When we got to Oakland, there was no reservation at Oakland. We checked every other car rental and there were NO cars available. We were forced to go back to the airport (because of the time) and rent a cab that cost us $65. We will never use Kayak again.National

Easy interface on line to find, reserve vehicle. Received confirmation promptly. When picking up vehicle at National, rep was pleasant, helpful and reservation was in the system with no hassles. Dropping off I got 2 thank yous from staff as I was walking inside.Cons:
