Verbal declined every add-on, including LDW, but they charged me for it when I returned the car. I have my own full insurance and never accept LWD or any other coverage. The LDW charge was more than the actual rental. This is an absolute scam and probably a deceptive trade practice.Reviewed 28 Nov. 2022

I reserved a mid sized car. Company did not have one available upon arrival. I guess they don’t understand how a reservation works. They gave us a SUV which ended up costing us more money in gas. The car was filthy inside and out. Three hours into our vacation we received a call from home telling us my mother in law was in grave condition. After making arrangements to return home on the next available flight, I contacted Dollar to inform them I would be returning the car at 4am the following morning. I was told that would not be a problem. I had the car for 16 hours and was charged for entire weeks rental. No offer of any kind of credit for future rental. When I arrived at 4am to return the car, the company was not yet open. We had to return the car to the Hertz rental company down the road and take their shuttle to the terminal. We were not made aware of this the day before when making the arrangements to return the car. Considering the reason for our early return, emotions were high and nerves were short. A heads up as to what to expect would have alleviated some unnecessary stress. The airline and hotel were more than accommodating considering our situation. Dollar, however, was not. I would not rent a car from them in the future if it were free. Dollar needs to see and treat their customers as human beings and not just another fare.Reviewed 26 Oct. 2022

Confusion on return location. GPS did not recognize address on contract folder. Called Dollar customer service. They provided another address. Went there and was at the back end of the Dollar property but could not enter. The rental car performed well.Reviewed 25 Sep. 2022

No inventory available while traveling with a family of 7. Was forced to upgrade to a van that was having mechanical issues and customer service was unwilling to financially accommodate until the vehicle return. There was blood on the drivers seat, back seats were covered in sticky trash, and the tank was half full when it was marked as full.
