It was rough. They didn’t have my car ready and cleaned, so they had to take extra time to clean it. Secondly, they didn’t have a charger for me, so I had to use super chargers. Thirdly, the car broke down twice on the freeway. It was a pretty poor experience, and honestly, I don’t want to drive a Tesla ever again with HertzReviewed 30 May 2023

Telsas make terrible rental cars. They had issues at pickup that made it very long to get the car. There's no good way to get a hold of Hertz when there's an issue with the rental car and you have to travel all the way back to the location to talk to anyone.Reviewed 19 May 2023

I had to drive the first car I picked back right as I left because as I was leaving they found out it was needing some maintenance, the car they put me in to replace it was a gold car so I figured it would be nicer but the system felt outdated and there was slightly less room in the car. Pick up was a bit confusing we requested a seven passenger vehicle initially they had a minivan I went to look at the minivan and they altered the reservation to a Ford Explorer before I could confirm the minivan would’ve been a better substitute for the Pathfinder because we were taking a road trip from Dallas to Florida with five passengers and all the stuff you need lots of luggage let’s just sayReviewed 9 Aug. 2022

I arrived and there was no car for me, even though booked two months in advance. Hertz staff had no interest to help me find a car or make it right. Had to walk around to the car rental places with my luggage until I was able to get a car with National. Hertz lost a customer for life.Reviewed 7 Aug. 2022

I was charged twice for the rental. I spent 131 dollars to book it online, then charged another 220 dollars even though i returned it on time with no damages. I plan to be making some calls to find out why i am being charged almost 400 dollars for a rental for ONE DAY. As of now, i would NOT recommend Hertz to anyone, nor do i plan to do business with them again in the future. I had to change the dates and when I called about the refund a week before picking up the car, they gave me a run around. After 2 hours and multiple calls I was finally got a decent person that was able to issue the refund. Don't believe them when they tell you that you have to call the kayak or other sites to get your refund. They already have your money and are hoping you will just give up. The second issue I had was picking up the car. They would only allow me to rent after I gave them my own insurance information even though I had insurance from the booking site. The lack of customer service has made me decide to never do business with them again.Reviewed 30 May 2022
