Kayak allows you to book a reservation with Dollar (and takes your money!) even when they have no cars. Beware! Just because you have a confirmation number does not mean they have a car for you! You have to call and verify with Dollar directly.Reviewed 10 Jul. 2023

Newark office person not friendly at all,getting impatient if customer does not understand at first and she has to explain or answer to a question.I ended up having to apologize to her for not doing this (renting a car) too often,to get some answers in a more civilzed manner. Price gouging! Paid $300 to have the car from one airport to another airport over 3 Hours total time! All Flights in NJ were cancelled and what was usually $61 dollar rental went up to $280.11 then all these fees took it to $300! My reservation was at 6am- I didn’t walk out with a car until 7:55am. The staff lady was the rudest rep I’ve had in years. And I saw her be this way with multiple people. Was given electric car which I did not book. Then how am I supposed to find time to sit and charge it when I got it almost two hours late due to it needing to be charged. Only 3 people working with lines out the door. Took over 2 hours to rent a car. Majority of the issues were people had issues with not having credit card, or bank denying claim. Instead of having them step aside and take them after, they allowed the people to take 20 plus minutes to call their bank. Line would have moved much faster if they had people step aside and take the next person. Staff were rude. Would not recommend. Most other agencies did not have any lines.Reviewed 29 May 2023
