Pros:At pickup the vehicle was given away and we had to pay for an upgrade. We also had to buy insurance, as we could not show proof that our credit card covered excess insurance laibility. Shuttle buses run every 45 minutes, so there is a long waitReviewed 27 Jan. 2020

insurance scammers plain and simpleCons:absolute scam .. sell you a cheap hire package then bully you into paying to reduce the excess ....95 pound charged to your card for fuel that you may get back if you are very lucky . returned my car with a small scratch and was informed well that's your 500 gone .. without even looking at the car .. add to that the 75 pound admin charge and there all round indifference and ignorance to how to treat ppl with dignity made it a horrible experience ... stay well clear from easirent scam artists whose business model is rent cheap because once we've got their card details we can rob them blind .. Ridiculously far from the airport ... not only distance but timeCons:The lack of information about what shuttle to get from the airport. The schedule of the shuttle from the airport once I finally found out which bus it was... it was once every HOUR. Once on the bus, seeing that you had to pay 3 GBP EACH to travel. Not taking card on the bus... because we were not informed we had to pay. Then arriving at the rental place faced with a queue of 10 people... took me 4 hours from landing to getting the car and home (7 miles away) Then being told my booking did NOT have CDW and therefore it was an extra 70 GBP. Pros:Nothing. Do not do business with this companyCons:Long wait for shuttle and long distance to drive. Additional fees and charges plus insurance requirements applied and incorrectly stated as legal requirements for cow in UK. Then required increased rental cost as they did not have booked car available. Decided to use another company at airport as it became cheaper and much more pleasant/customer oriented. Hidden costsPros:The rental car was super. Nice people at the counter. My only complaint is the hidden costs. I booked in the US, and when I got to the counter in the UK they told me of the extra, mandatory insurance costs and the hold that would be placed on my card, etc. These details should have been made clear (and handled) up front in the booking process. They told me if I had booked directly with them it would have been clear, but using Kayak the process, once I was in the UK, was more convoluted. Cons:They scam people. Wish I was smart enough and rented from somebody else! First, they charged me for additional third-party insurance. Their T&C says they provide one already but in realty they demand you to pay more money or else they won't rent the vehicle to you. They didn't like any letters I showed them and wanted quite specific letter addressed to them. They charge ridiculous $80 "management fee" for a ticket. And they charged me $120 for cleaning a vehicles though the guy greenlight the return and let me catch the bus. They told my bank that the reason because I didn't sign the slip was because "return done outside of working hours" (really, 7am is outside of your working hours? You open at 5am!) DissapointedCons:I arrived later due to my delayed flight and took almost 1 hour to get picked up to the rental place , on top the guy told me that somebody took my car already and then that another person cancelled my reservation so he offered he took me outdoor and try to give me another large car that apparently was the only one available with another price of course so took my bags and when to budget!Reviewed 21 Aug. 2017
