Try and force you to buy extra stuff and lie about required extra insurance saying it’s a legal requirement when it’s not and I proved I had extra insurance from my personal vehicle insurance AND the credit card I used. They overbooked their cars which lead to them saying there was no car available for us. If I didnt put up a fuss they would not have figured something out. They called a different rental company a few minutes drive away, however it ended up limiting our daily usage from unlimited to only 200km/day. There was also no shuttle on the return date and this other place was a 2 hour walk or 45 minute transit away from the airportReviewed 9 Sep 2024

I was not able to speak with an agent during business hours to change my pickup time due to a delayed flight. Because I wasn’t able to have the car held, I had to pay walk up prices elsewhere and have absorbed that cost, being much more than budgeted for my travels. At $160/day versus what I had booked at $87/day. The lack of help I’ve received this far has resulted in the *:( emojis while answering your short survey. Price was OK. Location and delivery of vehicle was terrible. Understaffed and crowded rental office. Car was clean on outside but inside windows seemed to have never been cleaned. Seats were not comfortable nor easy to exit. I would not return to this company.Reviewed 12 Aug 2024

Hadn’t realized that Fox is now part of Economy: “unlimited mileage” doesn’t really mean unlimited. It’s a 3k cap. Other challenges: -Mandatory 3rd party insurance, -Difficulty reaching front desk staff as all calls are routed to a call centre person / gatekeeper -My car rental had mechanical issues and I had to delay my trip by one day to get a replacement, however there was little accommodation made due to that and no extension of the rental due to the inconvenience: I had to hassle and argue my way to a $40 discount I eventually pulled out of them due to the inconvenience. -Possibly good for a short 1-3day rental if you’re desperate but I wouldn’t use them for anything else/ longer.Reviewed 11 Aug 2024

Overall quite good. During the drop off the car was inspected and we were given a verbal, “you are good to go.” The email I shortly received could have been more clear. There was quite a hold on our credit card and it would have been nice to have confirmation the hold will be released. Respectfully we treated the car like it was our own. Parking where there was plenty of room as to not have anyone near the car damage it with a door or anything else. Shuttle was good. It picks you up and drops you off at the same spot. Wait times were what one should expect. Our wait time when we arrived was decent but when dropping off the lines were full. Since we never had to enter the building at drop off, this is a simple visual observation. My advice would be not to be in a hurry when picking up. One issue while renting the car online was insurance. I believed insurance was one of the options while booking. In our case, it wasn’t. Insurance costs through Fox were $30-40, each with a different deductible. I was able to contact my insurance dealer in Winnipeg and purchase insurance for a total of $45 for 5 days. Much more affordable along with a much less deductible. If this is important for you, arrange it before you leave.Reviewed 5 Aug 2024

The shuttle came to viscount station in good time. That was great. When we got to the counter they informed us that they did not have the van that I rented available. And they sent us to a different car rental company. No apologizes, no one tried to make it up to us or even offer another 7 seater car. We waited over 30 mins to go to the other car rental company. And when we got to the other company they did not offer the same milage wise and we were only allowed 200km a day and not unlimited mileage.Reviewed 31 Jul 2024

horrible, sketchy little office building in the industrial section of the airport outskirts. Too small to let clients wait for cars to become available, and the wait was longgggggg, so nearly a dozen of us stood around with our luggage in the parking lot. Weather was hot, and several times cars pulling in or out of the tiny parking lot were close to collision.Reviewed 11 Jul 2024
