very very cold response and not friendly at all. Even after returning ahead of time they charged me for 2 days and also the flat tyre repair cost which was not possible to get it repaired due to public holiday and got it charged in advance of $300.And they asked me to claim from my card insurance.Reviewed 23 May 2023

Do not book with Fox Car Rental. I waited for over an hour for their shuttle and it never showed up. They do not answer their phone either. They are not even affiliated with corporate so they can not help with any issues and tell you to deal with it yourself. Easily the worst experience. Ended up having to book with another car rental along with 4 other families left waiting.Reviewed 2 May 2023

No communication the car rental office was offsite from airport or how to get to the offsite car rental shuttle area. At the offsite car rental shuttle area there is no signage indicating how to contact them. There is no shuttle waiting there. Eventually discovered a phone with a list of 3 digit numbers to call the rental companies but Fox is not listed there. I spent an hour calling different numbers and being place on hold, transferred, etc. before I was able to speak with someone locally at the fox rental in Mississauga and they sent a shuttle. The shuttle driver (young) either hates his job or it wasn't his normal job because he drove dangerously fast and aggressive and the shuttle van was in poor condition. There was a different driver (elderly) who took as back to the airport when returning the rental and he was pleasant and drove respectfully. The car we received had lots of wear and tear and some light damage to it with nearly 90,000 km and the TPMS sensor would not turn off and brakes worked but pulsed a lot. Phone at Viscount does not work to call for shuttle (a dirty broken down van). Unfriendly, rude customer service at counter. Did not EVER in the past had to verify my personal car insurance was sufficient to deny further rental car insurance which the counter person will try to rip you off even though you declined it in the online check out process. Even though you may have declined further car rental insurance (and was guaranteed a final check out price online); there is a fine print it states you have to pay $5/day extra if you use your own car insurance; this extra fee is also stated on the counter. What are you gonna do on the spot when they try to RIP you off? Lug your luggages around to another car rental place? Upon receiving the car, it was as dirty/not cleaned/stains on seats/emptied water and beer containers under the seats/taped up defective windshield wipers that you only notice when first using it. Just a plain HORRIBLE experience from beginning to end. No paper work upon check out; kinda suspicious if they were to find out this/that is wrong with the car upon return; they may come up with more excuses/ways to rip customers off. BETTER to go with a more reputable car rental agency and start your vacation on a happy note! Please Kayak, DO NOT do business with this company!Reviewed 6 Apr. 2023

Pick up from the airport was a bit confusing. Car was clean. No one took the time to show me any features of the car. Wanted signature of car inspection without inspection (refused before taking pictures of scratches noted on vehicle). Less than 24 hrs of having the car it broke down. Difficult to get help (middle of nowhere). Person on the phone didn't offer any help other than to call the dealership myself and didn't offer me another car or offer to get me to where I needed to go. Loss of days work since it took 7 hrs from the time the car would not start. No call to see if I was okay. No call to say what they would do for me. They refunded what I paid (after several calls and an email to the manager) without any explanation, notification or regret for my experience. I think they would have left me on the side of the road without concern. Only after my vacation did I learn that they refunded me.Reviewed 6 Mar. 2023
